Went on a recommendation from a coworker and was not disappointed. For Italian it's got a nice decor without the snobbish pretense. Complimentary bread was soft and warm. Between 3-6 most of the appetizers (except wings and one other) are half off. So we just couldn't say no to some fried calamari. It was pretty good. Comes with Mariana sauce for dipping. Next we got the Veal Parmesan which comes with spaghetti on the side. Upgraded $2 for Alfredo (why I don't know). Parmesan is from a shaker on the table like pizza parlors but that was fine by me. Definitely head in on a Monday if you have kids (12 and under) as they eat free (kid entree) all day long with purchase of an adult entree. There was no menu but the kid entrees include spaghetti, fettuccine Alfredo, small cheese pizza, cheese ravioli, tortellini alla panna, lasagna, ans manicotti. You can even get the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken for no extra charge ($1 up charge otherwise).

Another great meal and service. Esmeralda was a terrific waitress. Great atmosphere with accompanying music to match.

We made a reservation for a party of 8 on a Monday night. Our table was ready when we arrived. I ordered a Limoncello martini which is close to a Lemon Drop without the sugar rim and it was good. For dinner I had the Lobster Ravioli. The description reads "white wine cream sauce with a touch of marinara." As you can see from the photo there is more than a touch of marinara which was disappointing as I don't like a strong tomato flavor in my pasta dishes. The lobster wasn't especially flavorful but the actual ravioli noodle was nice. Our service was good and the bathrooms/restaurant as a whole was clean.

First time trying this place.......looking for just plain ole "great" basic Italian food. It's plain ole basic, for sure,......but far from "great" or even good, if you know Italian food. Reminiscent of Henry Hill from GOODFELLAS, when at the end he says, now I'm just a schnook, can't even get decent food......after his witness protection relocation to somewhere...... Service was friendly and adequate. Prices are very cheap and portions are big. Spaghetti was waaaay overcooked and not Al dente, plus it was cut up, which makes it not fork and spoon adaptable. The sauce was watery and lacked flavor. The meatball was mushy and more filler than meat. The McDonalds of Italian food.

Visited a few time already, with kids and with no kids. They're pretty consistent on flavoring of food and pretty good price for what you get. I have received good service before and my catering through them has been spot on. Favorite dishes include the spaghetti, chicken alfredo and the meatballs. Their garlic bread is pretty good too. Drinks are okay. They should be a little stronger. I prefer to order catering or to-go from here but my husband prefers to pick up since it's so conveniently close to our home.

Brought a large party of 16 for lunch. They were very accommodating with individual checks. As we were seated they brought huge baskets of delicious garlic knots. (Light on the garlic, but good) Orders were taken quickly and they even let a couple of ladies order from the kids menu. Portions were huge. Food was good. Nothing grand, but solid for the low lunch prices. I chose the 10" pizza and comes with side salad. Good, but wished the crust was crunchy. It was a great deal and most took food to go. One lady had ordered a salad for lunch and somehow they forgot it. By the time we were all half way done she just told them to cancel it. That was the only hiccup. Service was great. Drinks refilled promptly. Try them out.

Lamp in center of pic and yes you can turn off once you don't need light.

Best thing they have done in a long time and that is add the table lamps...now I can see menu without using my cell phone light.

The coleslaw is crunchy and creamy and the fish is to die for, you get three big giant battered white fish filets and it's plenty for two or three depending on your appetite. I initially thought it was related to the Fielding's restaurants in the Woodlands area but it has no relation. It's basically a sports bar with a kitchen, but apparently a big kitchen because they have a good size menu of burgers, sandwiches, comfort food, seafood, Italian food, salads, apps, pricy desserts, egg rolls, mac and cheeses, wings, and a healthy list of draft beers. I came in for the burger since I had read it was formerly a tri-blend of my 3 fav combinations of beef on a burger: chuck, brisket and short rib. I'm not sure if they're still doing the blended beef because the patty didn't taste like any previously blended burgers I've had before. When I ordered the burger it came out to my table about 4 minutes later. Not sure how they can pull this off for a patty that's 1/2 lb. At home it takes me at least 8 minutes. I went with the Texan specialty burger. This burger wasn't that good and was one that tasted best upon first bite, then progressively got worse as you eat more of it. I didn't finish it and eventually peeled off a lot of ingredients and bun by the end. They have a nice atmosphere, but I would try another menu item next time. I will likely visit the location closer to my house in Spring next time.

The pad krapow isn't really Thai style. It leans heavily Chinese, and if you want it closer to the real thing, the upcharges start stacking. Ground pork swapped for sliced chicken? +$2. Add a fried egg? +$3. You can see the pattern. The green curry was fine. Not bad, not memorable. Other places do it better, though I'll give them credit for the gold bowl -- nice presentation. The cheese sticks come in egg‑roll wrappers, which is exactly what it sounds like: mozzarella stick meets egg roll. I tried to talk my kid out of ordering it, but they wanted something "not Thai." Honestly, most of the menu already fits that description. A lot of dishes feel like Westernized interpretations of Thai food rather than Thai food itself.

I chose 3 specialty tacos, the Mar Y Tierra, Baja Shrimp and the Ensenada. I was hoping to find Baja style tacos as great as the ones I used to eat regularly in San Diego. So does this place live up to the hype? Mar y Tierra - the first taco I tried and it was really great. Very colorful as far as presentation. Lots of steak chunks and I loved the thickness of the homemade corn tortilla. 5/5 Baja Shrimp - this was good as well, but pretty standard and not on the same level as the other two. 3/5 Ensenada - comes with 2 tortillas to accommodate the large piece of fried fish, really good taco as well. Maybe breading was slightly on the salty side. Seemed to be beer-battered. 4/5 I also added a fountain drink. During my visit their sodas were down 2 options, no coke and no iced tea. They did have horchata and jamaica flavored drinks on their fountain machine, so I wasn't too upset about the lack of iced tea. I ended up getting the Jamaica drink. The service here was not the best, especially the unfriendly cashier, but aside from all that, I came for the food, not to make friends. You order at the counter, find a seat, get some sauces and garnishes from the salsa bar (mainly for take out customers), and they will bring the food out to you. The ambiance is okay. They have an end cap in the shopping center so the space has plenty of natural light. Decor is black, white and then colorful with a couple of blue and red accent walls. Chair cusions are also colorful, along with colorful flowers at each table and colorful art work. They also have an Instagram worthy wall for those interested. Their chairs and tables are lacquered and a little worn. Not sure if they're supposed to be like that or not. They do have 6 beers on tap and have 4 different bottled beers too...so they really are true to their name; however, I didn't order any.

To be fair, it is my own fault because I tried El Mariachi a year or two ago and thought it was gross then. However, I know everywhere deserves a second chance so I thought I'd give it another try, especially when I saw it had such a high average rating. Let me first say, service is INCREDIBLE. Truly could not ask for better. The hostess was really sweet and she stayed kind even when I could tell she was overwhelmed by all the people. We had multiple servers come by to check on us at various times and do things for us and they were all great too. Absolutely 0 staff complaints. I ordered a watermelon margarita and couldn't drink it. The syrup was completely separated from the actual drink. I left it completely full and while I didn't want to complain, I was surprised that I wasn't asked if it was okay. Had I been asked, I would've told them. My husband thought his house margarita was good, but he did order it frozen and it was already half liquid by the time he got it. The food was not good. I took one bite of my beef taco and pushed it to the side. It was essentially Taco Bell meat. No shade to Taco Bell, but if I wanted that, I would've just gone to T Bell. It sure would've been a lot cheaper. My cheese enchiladas were also not good. I asked to have sour cream sauce on top & was charged $2 for it. I wasn't told I'd be charged extra and didn't see anywhere on the menu where it said that. Even so, $2 for sauce is crazy, but $2 for sauce when the enchilada ALREADY comes with sauce on top and all you had to do was replace it?? Wild. The queso was okay. Not amazing, not bad. It's the only thing I was able to eat. Not my personal experience, but two tables in our same section had issues with their food too and had to send it back. $85 for that is crazy. I'm glad so many seem to enjoy it, but El Mariachi will never see me again.
