Before I could enter the store, the salesmen locked the door on me and said sorry it's 6pm. I pointed to the clock on my phone to show him I had a few minutes left to make my purchase and pleaded with him to make an exception because it was dark and needed the bulb to drive home. If this is exceptional service, it definitely fell short. I don't normally write complaints or bad experiences but this is just unacceptable and they lost a sale. Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish…read more I called Monday and scheduled an appointment for Wednesday morning to have four new tires installed and an alignment performed if needed. I arrived at 8:00 a.m. and found about 10 customers standing outside. The doors were finally unlocked around 8:05. At the counter, they didn't want my reservation number. Instead, they asked me all the same questions and collected the same information I had already provided over the phone. They asked me twice what time I needed the vehicle back, and both times I clearly said noon. Noon came and went without a call. I waited all afternoon. At 4:30 p.m., I finally called them and was told my car was only then being pulled into the shop--more than eight hours after I dropped it off. They told me to head over because the work would be completed quickly. When I arrived around 5:30, I inspected the car and discovered that three of my four rims had been scratched and damaged during the tire installation. It somehow got worse. The alignment printout showed that the alignment was actually worse after they worked on it. Several final measurements were still out of specification, including the rear toe, and they handed me the sheet clearly showing the car had not been properly aligned. They also recorded my vehicle's mileage approximately 20,000 miles lower than the actual mileage. That error makes it appear the new tires were installed 20,000 miles earlier than they really were and could create problems if I ever need to make a treadwear warranty claim. So after an appointment that took nearly the entire day, I received damaged rims, an alignment that was worse than when I arrived, and inaccurate warranty paperwork. Completely careless and unacceptable work. Please go somewhere else if you care about your vehicle and want the job done properly. To be continued. I'll update this review after giving management the opportunity to make things right. We'll see how they handle it.

I came here and they looked up my car and grabbed the ones I needed after we played 20 questions. They tried to put them on and they broke. They insisted they were the wrong ones and tried another kind and someone else came to help, but they weren't a matching set. Eventually they put blades on my car and they finally didn't break. But the blades are too small! So every time I use them I see a little wave spot that doesn't get cleaned or stays wet. It drives me crazy! There is nothing good about having your car damaged in an accident. The only good thing was, I didn't have to think about where to bring the car. I already knew, because of what happened to my son. He'd been in his own accident, a year before mine, and I was in New York City when it happened, too far away to do anything but worry. Richard Porcelli did what I couldn't. He sent a tow truck. He took my son under his wing the way a parent would, calmed him down, sat with him through one of the worst days of his life. I wasn't there for that. Richard was. I don't forget things like that, and I wasn't about to take my own car anywhere else. Porcelli's has been on Providence Street in West Warwick for more than forty years, and there's a difference between a business that's been doing something a long time and one that's just been open a long time. Those aren't the same thing. You can feel which one you're standing in. My insurance adjuster, a man I'd never met before this, told me flat out that his company likes working with Porcelli's. Honest, he said. Good work. Integrity. That's not a word insurance adjusters throw around freely about anyone. I ended up not at fault, so no deductible, and Porcelli's set me up with a rental. Given how the insurance company usually handles that part, I was bracing for whatever the cheapest available option was. Instead I drove off in a 2024 Jeep Compass. I was pleasantly surprised, though knowing Porcelli's by then, I probably shouldn't have been. The adjuster told me not to expect the car back before August 28th. I got the call today, August 6th, that it's done. It still needs an inspection, and instead of telling me to bring it back separately for that, they told me they'd put it up right away so it would already be finished by the time I came to get it. Nobody asked for that. It just happened, the same way it happened for my son, which is really the whole point. Porcelli's doesn't perform well once. It performs the same way every time. It's not an exaggeration to say that Porcelli's will treat you like family. If you ever find yourself needing them, and I hope you don't, you'll understand exactly why I told you to come here.
