How this place has fallen. A few years back I had great service here but not since! Their inventory was off last time I bought something online, I went to pick it up the next day to find out they didn't have the item. No cancellation email so I had no idea. This time I went in to grab a paint touch up pen and just wanted in price matched to a store in town, which their web site said they do. Staff brushed me off and said they don't do price match. I showed them their own web site and they said they're not affiliated with "the other Advance Auto Parts." What the fuck are they talking about? I hate this store. This 1* review is a reminder to myself not to give them my business. I ordered the item I needed from Walmart with next day delivery for free and will do that every time in the future. Avoid this store at all costs. They just don't care about their customers, and I gave them so many chances. read more

I called this location at 6pm which is a time they are open, I just wanted to know if they carried a certain part for my vehicle, I called 6 times, not back to back but maybe like every 3ish mins, and every time I could hear someone lift the phone and hang it up, I guess the employees don't want to deal with people on the phone read more

The Auto Zone across the street wasn't able to help me replace a car battery, and even though Advance didn't have the battery I needed, they offered to replace it free of charge. They even went so far as to send an employee to drive us back from the Auto Zone across the street! The employees were so nice and the manager really helped me out in a time of need. I'm a local and come to the store several times a week, but it has gone downhill recently. The manager working on April 1 was extremely rude for no discernible reason. He told me I should go shop somewhere else if I want to help locating a part. I have dealt with this individual several times, he doesn't seem to have any desire whatsoever to help with anything, despite me being a loyal customer and being very polite. I won't be coming back, which I'm sure their staff will be just fine with, as that would just create more work for them. read more

While they weren't able to help me resolve my conflict, they sure as heck gave it all their effort! It was reasonably busy, and several of the gentlemen were more than willing to help me out. I needed a transmission piece for 2005 Kia. Tough find. No worries, they found a few options for me that I could craft if needed, but unfortunately, it wasn't reasonable for me with my limited tool selection. I wasn't alive back in the old days, but I imagine this is what it felt like to go into your local auto parts store and have a personalized, genuine experience. I'm not one for hyperbolic speech, but this is by far the best Advance Auto Parts in the nation. After unfortunate car troubles and hours of waiting for someone to come check out my car, their employees welcomed us with open arms. Firstly, one of their employees ran a diagnostic test on my vehicle to find the source of my problem. As we waited, we were given free masks, a means to charge my phone, water, and stellar service. Then, came dinner. As is evident in the picture below, they had stellar decor and the ambiance was fit for royal dining. Richard and Ivy at Advance Auto Parts deserve a raise, periodt. read more

For a while my car was leaking coolant like you wouldn't believe and I had to keep stopping in here to purchase it so, I could keep driving. This location is organized, well stocked and the workers are very helpful. They also have a good variety of car air fresheners and I love a good smelling car so, I purchased them often. This place isn't overpriced like other auto parts stores that I have been to. I also like that they sold large jugs of coolant instead of the standard size that was just a couple dollars less like other stores do. I have also been in here to have batteries checked and charged that we have purchased from them for our vintage cars at work and they have been very helpful every time! It's a little tricky to get in and out of this place but, I recommend using the side entrance that isn't on East 7th! There is plenty of parking in their lot however! read more

The food stunk but the service and knowledgeability of the staff was fantastic. In and out in 20 minutes with a newly installed battery for my ride. Can I do it myself? Sure. Do I want to before I have to go to work in the morning? No. Super friendly and even had the Honda dealer's number in his phone so I could call and reset my radio after taking out the old battery. It feels like we've gotten so used to hearing abut bad service everywhere we go, it was wonderful to experience the opposite. read more

My battery died at the H.E.B. across the street from this advanced auto parts and even though there is an auto zone in the same parking lot i ran across the street to advanced auto parts because my experience has always been that the service is so much better. One of the employees, Joseph, came across the street with me, tried to jump my battery but it was totally dead, we went back to the store and i bought a new battery, and he went back across the street and installed it for me. all in less than half an hour so i still had time to actually get my groceries before work!!! he was so pleasant and helpful. best experience you could possibly have with a dead car battery:) read more

La Bomba for this one! I bought a battery online with guaranteed delivery to be picked up at the store. The store Clark Oscar took one look at my battery and decided that he could not fit my battery. One of the terminals had leaked. There were two people working in the store, Oscar and his manager. There was absolutely no other customer at the store. They said it would take too long and then they said that it was their policy that they could not install my battery. On top of that, I had to return the next day to get a refund for the battery. In the meantime I had gone across the street, had bought a brand new battery at AutoZone and had it installed within 15 minutes. I do not recommend this store. read more

Walked in to get free battery, alternator & starter testing as advertised but was turned away at 8pm. There were 3 employees working behind the counter & the employee would not perform the service on my car. He did not give a timeframe of when he could perform the service & treated me as if I was NOT a customer that just waited 5 minutes in line to be served. Advance advertises that they provide this service on their window as you walk-in: False advertisement so I will be taking my business elsewhere. Update: Saturday morning I went to Auto Zone across the street & had the testing on my car performed without any problems. I stopped in here needing new windshield wipers. Didn't catch the name of the employee that helped me (I came in at about 6:15 on 1/20) but that guy should be promoted! He proactively asked me what I needed, guided me on cheapest to most expensive options, helped me get the right size and then also installed them for me. I went in because of a dead car battery once I was able to get my car jumped. I originally went to the location on riverside and they were understaffed and could not provide the battery check for me. I went to this location and was instantly helped by Oscar. He quickly did my battery check and informed me of an active warranty. He was patient with me for about 30 minutes while I tried to find the warranty information. Once I did, he quickly changed swapped out my battery for free and I was on my way! My car was dead and I needed to know if it was just my battery or something more. Joseph took care of me very quickly. He did not complain about my 2006 Equinox having an annoying battery cover that needs to be unscrewed to access. He made sure there was not an issue with my alternator, found me the right battery, installed it, and had me back on the road in about 20 minutes. Way better service than Autozone. They are actually helpful unlike the people at Autozone. They have computers that are updated unlike Autozone....So all in all...DONT GO TO AUTOZONE unless u are a mechanic and know what you want. I went to 2 autozone one day and the computers were crap, but I went to 1 Advance Auto and they pulled everything up that I needed without giving me the run around. Advance also takes all oil fluids without all the hassles that autozone does. read more

I'm forced to go here because it's the only auto parts store nearby and I refuse to go to autozone. I dread coming to this store because you have to wait so long to check out because the employees are either bs'ing with each other or they are completely useless when it comes to general information they should know. I would just like to say I just received the best customer service from this Advanced Auto Parts Location. The SRPP Daniel did not hesitate to come help me with my flat tire when I missing several parts in my car to do so. Before calling this location, I had previously called Groovy Lube who did nothing in their power to help me because they said I needed the parts from the dealership. So I called this location even though I was out of their range because I am in West Campus and despite that issue he drove over here immediately to come take a look. Turns out it was an easy fix and did so very professionally and quickly! Highly recommend this location for any car service issue because they will go out of their way to help! read more
