Advance Auto Parts at 120th Avenue in Broomfield sold me a part they claimed was an exact fit for my vehicle. It wasn't even close. When I attempted to return it, they refused to accept it. I now have a useless part due to their misinformation and refusal to honor their own guarantee. 2 different employees were extremely rude and basically told me to get out because there was nothing they could do. Advance auto parts in general not a great place to buy parts. Don't waste your time or money. My worst experience ever dealing with this store when you need just to get back on the road. Their system does not make things easy even when you have your receipt for warranty that is still cover. Here is what I went through: Bought a battery 1 year ago and the battery is bad that is not holding anything even it's charging. Took the battery in to get check. They told me that they need to charge over 24 hours before they can tell if the battery is bad, I dropped off the battery and the next day I went back and the battery still say that there is nothing. The employee went to grab the supervisor for a warranty replacement. The supervisor said that the employee probably uses the broken charger to charge, and the testing system is not saying that is bad so they cannot replace under warranty or they have to try to recharge again for 24 hours with a different charger that will charge and they will call me to let me know if the battery is really bad. So, I let them charge another 24 hours and the next day I went in the see if the battery is charged. The supervisor said that the battery is bad and yes it needs to replace and it should cover under warranty but ask if I have my receipt. I said no, not with me but can they just look up by phone number that was purchase? She said that if I don't have the receipt then she can't do the warranty and pull up because is not in her system and every store has their own system even though it's the same store name. I went back home and the next day I went back and got the receipt. They still couldn't get me a warranty replacement and that I have to go to the actual store that I purchase the battery only. Spend 3 days just try to get my battery replace and get back on the road. Not very happy. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. LIKE I DID. read more

I bought wipers from them along with the ability to get a replacement set from them for free - "when I'm ready". I go in today for my free set and they won't honor that. These people have the worst customer service and do not want to help you if it's to "hard" for them. Very unprofessional!! I have been a good customer of this store for over 13 years - NOT ANY MORE!! Went there to return some unused refrigerant and they said they cant, even though there is nothing on their policy that prevents it. I spoke through their corporate text and app chat with 2 different representatives and they said there is no reason they shouldn't return it. The store associate Joe contacted their GM Zane and said it can be returned. Wont shop at advanced auto because store associates dont follow their company return policies. read more

Walked into the store, went to the counter where two employees were chatting and never bothered to look at or acknowledge me in any way. After about 5 mins I just turned around and left. Dude with beard and hat, had an attitude for some reason. Went in there to return a tool kit, which was incomplete, which also literally had a "incomplete" sign on it. Dude made a big deal out of nothing. Didnt wanna take the tool. Kept throwing my receipts. Obviously was new, or just incompetent? The service is good, and people are knowledgeable, but the quality of there "house parts" is clearly substandard. The brake disks I purchased just 1 year ago are already warped. I could have purchased top quality disk online for the same price. I plan on continuing purchasing name brand components from Advanced, but that was the last time I will ever purchase any "hose brand parts" again from them! read more

This was a great experience- as soon as we left I said it was yelp-worthy. :) My boyfriend and I went in for new windshield wipers, which I'd been avoiding getting even though mine were terrible- because I didn't know which kind or size to get, or how to replace them. Just not the most exciting thing to me... An employee, Jon, immediately greeted us and asked if we needed to find anything. We told him we needed wipers, so he quickly looked up the right size for the make and model and then took us to them and briefly told us everything about each kind of wiper as far as value goes. My bf picked a more expensive one than I would have after hearing all the info. Jon rang them up and then happily offered to put them on for us. He said he's done so many that he knows how for pretty much every car. It took him about 10 seconds. And damn they are the best wipers in the world! I really didn't think I'd ever care about this, but I now feel a lot safer having a crystal clear windshield no matter the weather- thanks to Joel for making me go, and Jon for making it easy. read more

Went to AAP to get new wiper blades tonight. Barely walked in the door and Evan asked how he could help. He showed me different options and told me what was on sale. He then showed me the different blades and told me what they were made of. I chose a blade and Evan cashed me out. He asked if he wanted me to have them put them on. I didn't see why not. He put the blades on for me in just a couple minutes. Thank you for the extra effort. Evan is a superstar! I have always been treated awesome here! read more

We needed a battery for our minivan. A tire repair place down the street said it would cost $270 or more. Drove down the streets, and in less than 10 minutes we had our battery tested and when it failed the test we had a brand new battery INSTALLED for well under $200! Great service. Good price. Glad we didn't have the tire place service the battery. Saved us money and honestly this place had nicer better service. Go here. read more

I have always had a good experience with this store but I can no longer shop here. I have problems with my lungs and they have no care for customers with lung issues. They allow here employees to stand at the front intrance door and smoke. I have tried to go in several times and this lady is there all the time from what I can tell. Broomfield has an ordnance that says you must be 20 feet from all intrances to smoke. They must have had a management change because this never use to happen but the last 2 months or so it has Ben a problem. There is an Orilie's and a new Auto Zone just a short distance away. They do not allow smoking at there front doors. Advance has better parts but not worth not being able to breath for. I will also be filing a complaint with the City. read more

I have been going to this store for years and I always had good service, in the past year or so the customer service has lost it's priority. Yesterday I placed an on line order and went to pick it up a few hours later. When I pulled up and there was 1 customer outside getting help from an employee that was helping out from another location (120th Thorton, which I found out later). I walked in and nobody was around, the guy that was outside came back in and asked what I needed and then went in the back to get someone. A girl came out with some other guy and just stood there lost, didn't want to help at all too busy looking busy going in the back and then back out front. She made a comment that she was waiting for a phone call about some part,.. In the meantime she came over and started to ask what I needed and then went to help some other girl that just walked in about getting some wipers for her car. I guess my time didn't matter. The customer left and then she started to address what I needed by this time the guy came in from outside and realized that she didn't do anything and he started helping me (this guy was the only one in the store working and was very good). All of a sudden some other guy comes out front, I guess he was in the bathroom. He then started trying to help the other 4 customer that were waiting to get help behind me. Oh the girl you ask, she was too busy walking around outside towards the back of the parking lot trying to stay out of sight with her cell phone in one hand up to her ear and a cigarette in the other. The poor guy that was helping me was very flustated with her. I will be going to the store off of 120th in Thorton where the guy that was helping me was from. I didn't get his name but he was very customer service orientated. The manager of this store I guess was in a training seminar somewhere else. I hope when he comes back he deals with this girl because she has absolutely no customer serve skills and no initiative to help out her fellow employees or customers.She is more concerned with with her cell phone and walking around in the parking lot smoking cigarettes. I am the proud owner of a 2001 Celica GT. I keep my car in tip top shape. When I started having some electrical issues with my vehicle, I went to go get my alternator tested out for free from Advance Auto Parts down the street (this location). I got the test done, and sat in my car so I could start it while the voltmeter was hooked upp, and the "technician" told me my alternator and battery were emitting almost no charge, but that I would be fine for a few days. That was fine considering I knew they both hadn't been replaced since 2001 when the car was manufactured. HOWEVER, I then drove off in my vehicle only to have the car completely die on me in the middle of the road!! I got it towed into a local shop that I trust, and when they took the vehicle apart found out that my BCM (body control module) and two other main computers had been completely FRIED. The "tech" from advanced auto put the cables on backward....hooked up black to red, and red to black....sending a charge through my car. To replace all of the parts and computers it came out to $2,600 total. The body shop and myself took action against Advanced and did not want to help pay for the problems they caused, they were highly rude and did not take this issue seriously. All of my friends and family know not to go to this location again. So disappointed. read more
