Auto repair man said we didn't neeed it after all...thankfully. Auto repairman told hubby Checker was known for switching parts. Hubby, extremely put out, returned said part and got his money back. Why three stars? I am giving Checker auto the benefit of the doubt. because (1) Checker employee at the desk was very sorry about the mix up and prompt about returning the money. and (2) the Checker Auto we did business with in Montana was so trustworthy. We did business with them for years and nothing like this ever happened. I would hope all the stores were run like the one in Great falls and this was just an honest mistake. What did we learn? We're not in Montana anymore! We will just have to be a little more careful, a little less trusting. For us the Checker brand is a little bit tarnished tonight.
