Customer service was atrocious! I've visited this location a few times and only once was I accurately helped. Last week I went to get my oil changed. The shop was out of my belt so I went to advanced auto with my car information and the product number. I was helped by a younger gentleman, drove back to the shop and was informed that's the wrong belt. Drove back to advanced auto, was assisted by a different younger gentleman who I told him I need the front belt not the back belt, again gave him my information and was rang up for a new belt. Upon returning to the shop I was told AGAIN this is the wrong belt. The shop manager said they could call over and have the correct part delivered but there would be a fee. Finally the correct belt gets put on, after what should have taken an hour at most ended up taking over 4 hours! I talked to the shop manager who was able to waive the fee for me since this was an internal issue on advanced autos part. I then drove back to advanced auto for a THIRD time to return the second wrong belt, I asked to speak to a manager to try to figure out what went wrong. In walks sour faced Silvia who didn't seem to care one way or the other. I was trying to explain what had happened, not only did she continually talk over me, but she was extremely rude, denying anything was wrong. An awkward silence not only for myself but the fellow employees standing nearby, I returned my item and promptly left feeling confused and frustrated. Safe to say, in the future I will be choosing another auto store, hopefully one that doesn't treat their customers like the human equivalent of garbage. They have what you need but don't ever try to return any defective parts. I bought some brake pads and rotors and they squeaked way too much. I thought it just needed to be broken in but after half a years and having a mechanic look at it, it was not the case. I tried to return it under warranty but they told me to get proof, I got that from NTB. They were very rude and kept asking me things like: "what about the brake pads and rotors was defective?" How am I supposed to know that? Was I supposed to take it to some kind of machine to scan its contents of the rotors/pads to figure out exactly what element of the rotors made it fail? But when I came back, the manager that I spoke to was not there,and told me to come back. She had a very rude demeanor to me and made me feel like I was some kind of criminal trying to swindle the company. I have to travel for work a lot, so I can't just come back whenever. I felt too intimidated to come back due to the stress of just dealing with both managers. So I'm just going to cut my losses and go to autozone. I don't think it's worth working on your own car if you have to deal with rude people like this. I'm sure other advanced auto parts are better but this location sucks. read more

I'm a very easy going guy but this was the worst customer experience I have had in my life. My service engine light came on so I went to get a free diagnostic check. Maybe the policy had changed but in my 16+ years of driving, I've never had to do it myself. I've never done one so the guy was like "just plug it in, should be under your steering wheel and then maneuver the screen." OK, so I do that and get the code. I return it and I say it's code such and such. Can you tell me what that means and what do I need to do? He says 2 words "Google it" What the F?! Google it? Sorry but you work customer service. Wtf do you get paid for? Wish I could go to work and just tell everyone to google it. I didn't catch his name. White guy. Looked like a muskrat mixed with a beaver and very chapped lips. Moreover when I went to return the wrong part, very unkind and doubting you so much. Eventually, they did not return for me because I had damage on the box. My daughter went in with a dead battery. the talked her into buying the most expensive one. The battery keeps draining and she has been stuck a few times. she went back and they told her they cant replace it because it took a charge.. how ridiculous! they were rude to her telling her there is nothing they can do.. she is a young girl with car battery that dies . she bought a battery charger because she was afraid of getting stuck! It's a quick auto parts place. What else do you need me to tell you lol. Need some wiper blades they got it. Need washer fluid they got it. Need ultra friendly family style business yeah not them. But for your quick fix needs you can't go wrong. Hey I'm all for some dealer parts you know critical parts yeah no not here. Tire plugs, oil, filters, light diy they have you covered. Just don't go in expecting to carry those super critical all parts that I would only get from the dealer. Check the ads as they have good deals on oil and fluids so if you do your own oil go for it. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service. I bought a Peak Battery Jumper and it was defective out of the box. It would not charge no matter how long I charged. Fast forward 2 days later, I took it back to return it and they are not trying to give me a refund. Saying it's been used... yeah, I tried using it, but it wouldn't work. They finally agreed on a refund but couldn't refund me because they didn't have any cash in the system. SMH. Now I have to waste my time to go back after 4 because they don't have $80 dollars in their register. read more

Im not sure why this place doesn't have great reviews. As the owner of a junker I come here almost every other week looking for parts or suggestions and the staff is always willing to help me and very informative. The prices are decent and sometime cheaper then Amazon. Plus you can do online ordering and pick up in the store which is convenient. read more

Had a battery installed by them. Believe the young man, who was new and never installed a battery before, put it in backwards and fried my regulator. Was without a car for 4 days until my mechanic could fix it. Though can't prove it, it's the only scenario that fits my situation. Will never go back or refer anyone to them. read more

This is the place to go if you know exactly what you need and don't need any help from anyone in the store at all. The employees, including the general manager, display what can only be described as complete lack luster enthusiasm. If I had no fingers I could still count the number of times someone smiled at me in that place on one hand. I went in for one part and ended up leaving with two because one of the employees broke an attachment whilst trying to "help" me remove the broken part. I should have just looked it up on youtube...Good thing the part they broke isn't made anymore and I had to get a replacement part from the dealer. I wouldn't have been upset too much since they didn't charge me for it, except that I didn't get a single apology from anyone in the store. Just a sort of passive admittance of fault and a promise that the part would come "eventually". I would look elsewhere if you are looking for meaningful help. read more

Good prices. Specialty loaner tools. You can get help from the right person, but that person can be busy at times. They install windshield wipers, will recharge your battery to check it, and accept used motor oil (you must dump it). I am glad they are in my neighborhood. read more

Today was the last straw. I used the parts finder to get the right wiper blades for my car. The information was wrong, but truth be damned, the manager would not accept return of the wiper because I had opened it (that's how I found out it was the wrong size). I offered to show him how the part finder showed 24" blades and then shut down almost immediately, but he claimed it said otherwise. He wasn't interested in actually looking. Congratulations-I have a wiper blade that doesn't fit. You have one fewer customer. And this stellar review. This was by no means the first or second time I received crappy service. I've been here a few times in the past and they seemed okay. However, my last visit knocked off a few stars. Stopped in on Sunday to get a rear wiper blade for my Hyundai Tucson. The recent freezing weather tore up my old one. Little did I realize these blades are not easy to come by. Front blades, no problem - rear blades, a definite problem. Talked to a guy (Damien) who came out to take a look at it, told me he would have it for me on Tuesday. Said it was a 10 inch blade and he had a truck coming on Tuesday. Said please come back, sounded very sincere. Well I work all day Tuesday so didn't get there until today, Wednesday. Another guy was there and looked it up. He said it wasn't able to even be ordered, they just didn't carry it! He said their trucks come in on Fridays so he didn't know why the other guy would say Tuesday. Well thanks for the run around, guys! I asked if he knew anyone else who carried it and he said just the dealer. No way am I paying $50 for a blade! I went home and actually found it on Amazon for $12. And it's a 12 inch blade, not 10 inch as they told me. Advance Auto Parts just went down in my book as unhelpful and uncaring. I always order online so I don't waste time going through the catalog with an employee in store and possibly get the wrong part.
