This review is specifically for an employee who works at this location (Dennis Correa). To begin my review I want to say that another autozone (Delray location) had ROYALY screwed me over with a car part. I came in and spoke with Dennis about the situation and he saw that there was a discrepancy that the other location made. Needless to say Dennis was quite helpful and knowledgeable about the procedures that Autozone has in place. He came out to take a look at my car and was able to fix the issue quickly and got me back on the road in no time. I'm HUGE on customer service and Dennis definitely went well above and beyond to assist me and my older car. If he wasn't a manager, he fooled me because he displayed himself as a professional employee with confidence in his work. had a very frustrating experience at this AutoZone location. The cashier was rushing through the transaction and did not provide me with a receipt. Because of that, when I realized I was given the wrong part, I had to go back and deal with extra hassle just to resolve the issue. Instead of a simple exchange or refund, I was only given store credit, which was inconvenient since the mistake wasn't on my end. Overall, poor attention to detail and customer service. I had a very upsetting experience at this AutoZone location around 10 PM on a Saturday night. I returned about $45 worth of items, all brand new and unopened, purchased with a valid receipt and a Christmas gift card. I work on cars and often buy parts that end up being returned, so I frequently make returns -- this is normal for my work. Instead of handling this professionally, the manager accused me of stealing, cursed at me, and threatened that they would keep my merchandise and call the police. Regardless, the return was processed and I was able to buy other items with the returned money, so clearly the system did not flag anything. This behavior was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. Even if a store wants to limit returns, it does not justify false accusations, aggressive behavior, or threats toward customers. The manager needs better training on how to treat customers respectfully. read more

I would like to give Auto Zone located on Sudley Rd in Manassas, VA an A+++. What a great experience I had. I went to purchase a cabin filter for my Honda Civic. Kyle waited on me and explained the difference between the two choices. He also asked me if I'd like to know how to put it in. He showed me first then let me do it while he instructed me. Pitiful customer service. There was no sense of urgency from any of the cashiers. I had hoped to avoid this by ordering online. After waiting two hours for notice that my order was ready, I gave up and went to the store. The line was long already and no one seemed to care. Most of the other customers around me were making comments about the long wait. At one point the cashier told the next person to get back in line, and then he just walked away and never came back. If I don''t need the parts right away, I will order online to avoid this. This store is a perfect example why bricks and mortar shops keep closing! read more

Genuinely some of the worst customer service I have ever received at a store. if not the worst. I wasn't able to get the employees name but he treated me like it was my first day on earth for simply asking which screws I needed for my license plate. Then they had to one up their terrible behavior by acting like the biggest ass in the world for simply not knowing how to properly use the self checkout because I missed the "pay now" button on the touch screen. Honestly I don't care how bad your day was the way they conveyed themselves and spoke to me is beyond my comprehension. I sold my car and no longer needed Asian coolant [cost $22.00] and an air filter I bought at the Autozone West Gate store in Manassas VA. I had a receipt for each of these items. The Assistant manager started out ok, not friendly, but ok. He quickly said I could not return the coolant because it was too long ago. It was sealed. I bought it 96 days earlier. Apparently they have a 90 day return policy that I was unaware of. He reluctantly started my other return. I asked him to let me return the coolant because I was buying other things. He said it was beyond his job or something. He is a manager. So I brought my items back up to make an exchange. I heard him say to two young women who walked in [in skirts], hello ladies welcome to Autozone. I did not get the same treatment. He said it again as they were checking out, Hello ladies, how are you today? The guy is middle aged. I guess he would be nice looking to a middle aged woman, but I doubt it to these 20 somethings. He again said to me I could not return the coolant so I said ok. I asked him to help me with a key fob battery. He laughed and said "can you open it?". I said no. He said he was not allowed to open the key fob. I said can you just sell me the proper battery for the key fob? He said I could look online for that information. He could not have cared less about helping me with anything. He was condescending. I recall many experiences in the past when Autozone employees were friendly and helped with just about anything related to a car. Not anymore. I hope the guy was just having a bad day but he was eager to help the women in skirts. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

There's literally no concern for the consistent long lines. It will take 30 mins to an hour to simply checkout of here. This is ridiculous and it has consistently been an issue here for years. It's not getting any better here either. No matter what time of day you come here, there will be a line out the door due to this methodically slow checkout process. read more

I needed headlight bulbs. $5.99 I find the bulbs thanks to the handy little guide. I go stand by the register (unmanned). One of the techs is helping someone and brings him to the register. I don't know what the deal was but that customer wasn't ready to pay, so they stood there a while. Then two other customers come and get in line behind me. Finally the tech tells us we're in the wrong place, we need to go line up "over there" uh ok, we just wanna pay and you're the register. We shuffle off to the more appropriate location. So lame. So slow. I needed bulbs and they had them, but I can't imagine going back. read more

I went in to get my battery replaced, after desperately looking for a place to install a battery. They at first refused to come out and install it for me, until I was walking out the door. Then once they got to my vehicle, they said they could not install my battery because there was a stereo wiring harness on the battery and the only wrench they had wouldn't fit. In reality, it was just the battery connectors, and came off with some WD-40, with the same wrench they had. I went to Advanced Auto parts, and they very eagerly came out, and installed the battery with absolutely NO problems whatsoever. I will never go to Auto Zone, I don't want to support idiocy. read more

GARBAGE online service and quality of part. It cost me over $1000 which was not reimbursed and long delays in receiving part(s). Details: bought a rebuild transmission on line. It came over two weeks later than promised. it did not work properly. They sent me replacement piece parts that did not make it work.--took a unreasonable long time to replacement piece parts-they could have overnighted them but did not. They sent another transmission. Besides me paying cost $600 to install second transmission, it also had problems. Took it to a transmission specialist who fixed it for $700. I asked auto zone for reimbursement. They only agreed to pay $250. Transmission still has some problems. STAY AWAY FROM DEALING WITH THEM. read more

I went in this morning to get a battery for my car. The parts specialist and overnight guy, Ben, looked it up and showed me batteries ranging from $120-$200. I asked why the batteries where so expensive, he then told me it was due to the election of Donald Trump. I said " Really? " to which he said " Yes " This shouldn't matter, but I was wearing a " Keep America Great " wristband..... coincidence? I think not. Furthermore, I went at 6am in the morning because, despite having MANY people behind the counter there is usually a LONG line. I know, I know, auto parts stores are not too exciting to most people. But anybody who does repair and maintenance on their vehicles will appreciate a good parts store. For me, this one is it. Now, given my vehicles are common imports and parts are not too difficult to find, I have to give AutoZone credit. They always have in stock what I need. Normally different brands are available including their own, which is Duracraft, as well as tons of remanufactured parts. The prices are low and warranties good. Everything is tracked by phone number, therefore no need to hold on to receipts. This locations is always clean and organized. The shelves well lined with all products. From batteries to drive shafts to radiators, I have purchased it all here without having to order a single item. However, in case a special order is needed, it takes just a couple of days for the product to come in. The loaner tool program has been blessing on several occasions. The deposit is minimal, and fully refunded at return. Loaning tools is essentially free. AutoZone also accepts used oil and batteries for recycling. The staff is surprisingly competent and well trained. Service is never an issue. Additionally, the AutoZone website is superb. Well laid out and easy to navigate. You can research parts and prices per location before hand, or order directly online. They offer online repair guides and vehicle specific maintenance charts, all at no cost. read more

I have been shopping here for a better part of three years. After this location has gotten new management things have gotten much better than they used to be. As I read through a few of the older one star reviews I noticed they where very accurate for that time. However the staff is now much more proactive and available. However they could use a few more hands in the peak hours. The individuals who work there know their stuff, and know how to give awesome customer service. I spoke with Anthony who informed me it was in stock and very openly told me it depended on the car, then I asked about my make and model and he said that would be doable. I arrive with my very curious toddler to purchase the lightbulb and was welcomed by the whole staff. I let them know I had spoke with someone on the phone and they pointed me to who it was. I am not very knowledgable when it comes to cars and the staff at AutoZone were a huge help! After getting a crazy high estimate from another place to replace a turn signal bulb, I decided to try to replace it on my own. As soon as I stepped through the door, someone asked me if I needed assistance and helped me find the correct bulb. Not only did they help me find what I needed, but they also offered to teach me how to replace the bulb right there on the spot for free! Sure enough, the salesman went outside with me and replaced my bulb while showing me what to do. You can't get this level of service anywhere else. Needed a car battery stopped by on Sunday about 5 pm. Lots of people at counter, all smiling and helping guests. We're about 5 people ahead of us, line moved quick. Matt, fantastic guy at counter took great care of us. Put the battery in the Jeep, made sure it was tightened down, cleaned the terminals, and was nice! We called to check if a battery was in stock. The person on the phone informed us that they had only one in stock. We asked them to put it on hold for us since we were driving 15 miles to get it. We have them our information to place it on hold. Fast forward, we get to the store & there was only 1 cashier with 15 people in line. Finally get to the cashier and told them we have a battery that was put on hold. The girl says there's nothing on hold for us. The girl goes to look for the battery & tells us it's not in stock. Of course they don't, right? Even though they told us it was in stock & would put it on hold for us? *Insert eye roll* The girl says there's another store another 15 miles away that "has it in stock." I don't know if I can even trust that 1) they truly have it in stock or 2) will truly put it on hold after a customer asks. Horrible experience. Why would I drive 15 miles without checking prior to a store that does not have my product in question? Hire competent people or increase their pay so they actually care about their job. read more
