Following that service, I discovered that the lugnuts on my rear tire had not been properly tightened -- a serious safety hazard that could have caused a wheel separation while driving. Insurance came out on 12/15/22, towed to Muffler Man on 12/16/22, they called on 12/17/22 and were ready to fix it. My family and I were in Okemos for a Juniors' Volleyball Tournament and had a serious tire/rim issue on our BMW 5-series. It turns out that one of the vehicle's rims had a 1.5 inch crack in it and was losing air rapidly. Despite being very busy on a Saturday, these folks worked me right in (after Dian spent a lot of time on the floor in nice slacks diagnosing the problem) and "patched" up the rim so my family could safely get back home (about 200 miles away). They did not have and could not get a new rim in time for my return home, so they did what great service personnel do - they provided me with a safe, reliable short-term SOLUTION. I am not a regular customer of this dealership and had never been to this place of business in the past. They had no reason to go out of their way to help, but did so anyway. Every one I encountered was determined to assist me with my problem. During my time in the greater Lansing area, every place I went and everyone I encountered placed a premium on customer service; and I for one, am grateful and impressed. I was a…read morelittle apprehensive this time as I found a new owner but I thought a new owner would not make a difference. I was very wrong! I asked them to replace brakes in our Lexus Nx200t. They charged me to replace both brake pads and rotors, front and back. The brakes were functioning normally but the car started making a squeaking sound whenever I was turning right. They agreed to look into it but I had to take it back twice; the first time they sent me back although they told me to come on a Monday morning. After the second visit, they said that my wheel bearings needed replacement and the squeaking sound had nothing to do with the brake job. I argued that the sound came only during turning sharply, but they were dismissive. I took my car to Doc's automotive, and they were surprised that the brakes had not been greased. Doc's Automotive fixed the noise but I had to pay a good amount of money, which included three hours of labor. I need to mention that the Lexus came with a lock for lug nuts and they used unnecessarily high torque to shear the lock and lug nuts in the front wheels. Doc's automotive said that the back ones were crushed and new wheel lug studs had to be put in. I will never go back to this store again.
