My car had a (MAP) sensor bad and I called this store and they told me they had the part in stock. When I there I bought the part and put it on, come to find out they sold me a bad part to my car. Now I want a refund and the GM of the store said they would not give me a refund because it's a electric part. So you can sell bad parts but not refund them back. DON'T GO HERE‼stay away read more

This looks like just any other junk yard, with one difference. This one seems to have their act…read moretogether. I called before hand to make sure they had a replacement engine for a 1997 Wrangler and they said they did. I drove out there and lo and behold, they actually had the engine I asked for. If you don't know, other yards will tell you they have it, but they may not have the actual engine you're looking for, it could be a cross-referenced engine from a different year or something else. And true, they may be the same engine but there are times when you want to avoid certain years that engine was manufactured because of defects from that year or for whatever reason. When I arrived, I asked for the engine, they said, "Do you want to see it?" "Sure." They take me back to the back where the engines are and there it is. All the engines are on dollies which is really awesome. I take a look, it looks fine, nothing looks broken or bent or whatever. I pay for it and they ask for the core charge in cash. That was a bit weird, since I wanted to put it on a credit card, but I was glad that I had enough cash. The engine was in great shape, actually. The inside was super clean. I did replace most of the gaskets, water pump, spark plugs, etc., because I want this new engine to last a long time without leaking oil. Loading up the engine was easy, they had their mechanic hoist it up on the cherry picker and load it up in the back of my truck. He even offered me a tire to cushion the engine so it wouldn't sit directly on the bed. The people were very nice and I wouldn't hesitate to come back if I needed anything else. Probably one of the better, if not best, experiences I've had with a yard in the past 20 years. Returning the engine for the core charge was relatively easy. I did have to find the paperwork, but I already expected that and knew where it was. They did ask me where the distributor cap was but I let them know that it was broken when I bought the engine and they didn't make a fuss over it. I got my cash and off I went. They have a fuzzy cat that hangs around the yard. Was friendly enough to come up and let me pet him/her.

Bob booked me an appointment to come by and drop my car off so he and his team could do the repairs. I dropped car off the night before and it was ready by next day as promised. What I liked about Bob was that he is very transparent with his pricing and even showed me the old water pump that he pulled out of my car! It was neat to see the proof of the work (not that I doubted him for a moment) but the transparency is very much appreciated. The cost was more than fair for my water pump and actually ended up only being 500 more than a girlfriend of mines Camry. Thank you Bob for taking care of me and getting me back on the road! What makes this a horrible experience is how this dealership is treating me as a post sale customer and with my car title. They apparently had issues getting my car title (which they never mentioned, I only found our after submitting a request to get a copy of a title myself after 2-3 months not getting one) I was denied getting a title from Texas DMV saying Family Toyota submitted the wrong title when applying for my title, and they didnt send the most recent one. Now when I call, they just keep putting me on hold until I just get hung up on or sent to voicemail. Its soon to be 5 months from when I purchased my car, and I still have no car title in hand. The Texas DMV even mentioned my title on this clean car might get branded because of their hiccups, but I couldn't even tell if that's true since I don't have a title. Kind of frustrating to spend dozens of thousands of dollars with a company who clearly doesn't care about their clients once you take the car keys and submit payment. I was recommending and buttering this dealership to my colleagues and friends in Texas, but definitely will have to stop doing that.
