I advised the employee I am unaware where to plug machine in, how to plug it in or how to read the codes it displays. she then began to insult my intelligence by telling me she will teach me how to work the Auto Zone equipment. I reminded her that I do not work for Auto Zone and that I did not need training I am uncomfortable taking the equipment outside the store performing function that your franchise advertises on commercials that they do! The insults really began to fly. Employee told me she has a 9yr old son. He can even comprehend the steps. I advised her of my age and told her I simply can not do it. Pleading with her to help me. She then advised me she is in store alone and can not read my check engine code. Althought there was another young lady IN the store working . She appeared like magic willing to watch the register while the other emploeee helped me. She now stated she could not even leave the counter due to customers shopping. One excuse after anothe. No issues whatsoever, Just the warning lights. I took back to pep boys for a diagnosis. They said I needed a new master cylinder and new alternator. DO NOT take your vehicle here if you want an honest mechanic. I had 2 other reputable mechanics look at my vehicle after Pep Boys $2,000 diagnosis for a new master and alternator, with no explanation why or how.. Just the response," thats what came up" with apparently no other explanation.. I paid yet another diagnosic bill, then left for more opinions. The "problems" and lights were all fixed simply by installing a new $200 battery. That is all that was ever needed. I am so disappointed by these actions. Roy Nye was our mechanic for 20 yrs there. As we started our journey, we noticed the dashboard was indicating one of the new tires was losing air and close to flat. We crept our way to Philadelphia and ultimately were stranded in a parking lot as the tire lost all the air. My husband and father-in-law tried to replace the tire with our spare, but couldn't loosen the bolts on the tire between two strong men. We had AAA come out to help and evaluate, and they could not take the bolts off either. They determined the tire was overtightened and couldn't get the tire removed without having it towed to a car garage. Aside from that, it wasn't sealed correctly and that's why it was flat. This set of tires cost us $1000, a vacation get-away, and two good nights of sleep due to a careless job. I was pleasantly surprised and excited "at least maybe I'll get some sort of credit" I thought. Well,,, that was wishful thinking. I was passed around to multiple people, some of which I am pretty sure I had already dealt with, when I first started contacting them with my issue. What was there amazing Idea you ask to fix the situation. That I again take the carburetor to my mechanic, pay him again, to attempt to try and get it working, and then contact Edlebrock so they could trouble shoot the problem. Keep in mind, I already paid my mechanic, he contacted CJ Pony and attempted to get the carburetor working with there service dept to no avail. So we ended up fixing my original carb. (see previous post) But now after all that, let me pay to attempt it again, and this time Edlebrock sure will be able to think of something else. there is quite clearly something wrong with the carb. On top of that, they also mention that they wouldn't even take the carb back because fuel had run through it. So what you're telling me is if I had re paid my mechanic to waste his time and attempt it again- it wouldn't even matter because I still can not return it. You are making zero sense CJ Pony. So again. buyer beware, know what your buying, and know that once you get it, well it probably won't matter at all. for the record even a partial credit would have been nice! at least an attempt to make me happy. meanwhile now i have a carb sitting in my living room that I cant even try to sell, cause I dont know what wrong with it. C&P Towing, Automotive, and Body Shop - Dangerous, Dishonest, and Completely Unfit for Business…read more I'm leaving this review to strongly warn others--do not take your vehicle to C&P Towing, Automotive, and Body Shop under any circumstance. What happened to me wasn't just unprofessional--it was dangerous, negligent, and borderline fraudulent. I brought my diesel truck in for repairs. After weeks of silence, they finally told me it was ready. I picked it up and, trusting their word, let my wife drive it. While driving on the highway, the truck suddenly lost power, creating a serious safety hazard that could have resulted in a fatal accident. I immediately had the truck towed back to C&P, expecting them to make it right. Instead: The truck sat for weeks with no updates. It was left unlocked in an unfenced lot along a public road, with my personal documents still inside. It was missing the fuel filler cap and once again non-operational. After finally giving up, I had it towed to a professional shop--Zimmey's Automotive--who discovered 1.5 gallons of water in the fuel tank, likely due to vandalism because of C&P's total lack of vehicle security. Zimmey's diagnosed and resolved the actual issue within four days, with clear communication the entire time. To make matters worse, C&P requested cash payment--a red flag suggesting they're dodging accountability (and possibly taxes). No receipts. No documentation. No professionalism. Just delay, deflection, and damage. They misdiagnosed the problem, failed to fix it, risked my family's safety, and left my truck vulnerable to further damage. Then they disappeared refusing to do any work when the truck was returned to them. C&P is not a business you can trust. They are negligent, evasive, and flat-out dangerous. Save yourself the risk, the expense, and the potential tragedy. Zimmey's Automotive was everything C&P is not--honest, fast, competent, and professional.

The one nearby told me they stopped doing that years ago and said I was basically on my own. So I called around and found C&P. They said they could provide a free check. I drove right over and they helped me right away. The code said I needed fuel injector cleaner. They told me I could basically use acetone which is less expensive. They poured some in my tank, reset the light, told me to add some at the next 5 fill ups and sent me on my way. I asked "What do I owe?" and they said "Don't worry about it." Great bunch of guys!
