But most importantly is that the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. These guys know automotive and products. Who you hire shows through instantly and this store has done a good job. Don't expect someone behind the counter who can only look up parts they sell on a computer screen. These guys actually have turned a wrench/ nut in their lives. They have an idea how things are engineered and go together. they also seem to know the products they sell not just what they have but also what works best and what is garbage. They are willing to pass on that information even if what they are selling isn't that great. I feel respected here. A lot of the other parts store locally seem to employ people who don't k ow the first thing about automotive work or cars at all. Thumbs up O Reilly !!! I brought my vehicle (Mazda CX-5) to Varna Auto because the brake warning light was on and I was…read moreunable to disengage the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB). After diagnosing the car, they told me both rear EPB actuators and calipers needed to be replaced. I approved the repair and paid $1,124. They later called and said the car was fully fixed and ready for pickup. However, when I arrived, the brake warning light was still on and the EPB was still not functioning properly. I immediately informed them. The next day, they re-examined the vehicle and told me the parking brake control module had lost communication and that they could not fix the issue. They referred me to a Mazda dealership for further repairs. In other words, after charging me over $1,100, the original problem remained unresolved. When the vehicle was returned to me, the brake fluid reservoir cap was missing. The reservoir had been temporarily covered with plastic, and I had to return the following day to obtain a replacement cap. This raised serious concerns about the level of care taken during the repair. I spoke directly with the owner, William Chen, who has been very unprofessional and dishonest throughout the process, about my concerns. During our phone conversation, I explained that I was disappointed and did not want to keep parts that did not resolve the issue. He initially stated that he could return the aftermarket parts (though not the OEM actuators). However, after speaking with someone else at the shop, he changed his position and said he would not return the parts or issue a refund. Overall, I paid for a repair that did not fix the problem and was then told to take the car elsewhere. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop.

They tend to be super busy and getting an appointment can be a wait, and their waiting room tends to be full. But they're very personable and you get the sense that they really care for their customers. If I was still in Ithaca, I'd still be going here.

I said yes, thinking the cost would be worth the time it would take me to go buy the bulb and figure out how to install it. The oil change with the bulb replacement was $160. If that wasn't bad enough when I got home I realized the light on the back wasn't even installed properly. I went back to the shop to get it fixed, something that took 30 seconds. This was insane to me. A task that they initially billed .3 hours for to take 30 seconds to redo told me I was being exorbitantly overcharged. I was able to get a refund on the bulb but I feel as though they thought I wasn't smart and didn't understand I was being scammed. Do not go to Patterson's! I will not be returning and nor should you !!

I've had brakes done and they gave me information to get a rebate. Mike Sealy is extremely honest and a great mechanic! I asked him to check several things as suggested by another dealer and he showed me that half of those were unnecessary. Elizabeth and Ruth are no ordinary receptionists, they are also well versed and actual mechanics themselves. The atmosphere is friendly, honest and positively a good experience.
