That said, when I hopped in my SUV to leave work on Daniels Island I get the dreaded "message" so I scroll through my trucks messages and my right turn signal needed replacing. I called AutoZone on the way home to see if they had the part. On the phone the clerk was extremely helpful in terms of "yes fixing it yourself is easy and yes we have the parts you need!" The phone conversation left me with a "sweet, I can zip in, have the part and zip out in 5 minutes!" Walking in must be a NASCAR fans toystore but for me I wasn't interested in walking around aimlessly admiring mufflers or fantasizing about installing a new fuel converter. One of the people came up to me and asked if they could help. I said I called earlier and they had my part right behind the counter, no browsing needed! They even briefly told me how to install it, but this wasn't my first rodeo. I'm not going to say I enjoyed my time there as I don't dig car stores, but it was clean, the people friendly and my time was brief. I couldn't have asked for a better pop in encounter. Also the prices were reasonable. The next time my vehicle needs parts I'm going to "get in the zone, Autozone" and I recommend you do the same if you have auto needs.

As part of my deciding which battery to buy, David explained my car required an electronic reset using specialized equipment not available from O'Reilly's. I have a mechanic friend, so I bought the battery. David retrieved the battery and placed it in the trunk of my car. I closed the lid. With my dead battery still installed my car wouldn't start. Neither of O'Reilly's battery chargers would start my car, and now my still installed battery is so dead my faub won't open the car trunk. My story is too long to continue. Just know that David made the extra efforts required to access my new battery from the car trunk and use it to jump start the car. He put me on hold for a couple of minutes, came back & said nearest one was at store in Mt Plasant but he could order it & have it delivered to his store maybe late afternoon or tomorrow afternoon. I placed the order & around 2:50 pm the same day received a text telling me my delivery was at the store. Jumped in my vehicle,picked up the part & by 3:30 had the new reservoir installed. Reservoir came with limited lifetime warranty and was a lot cheaper than dealership. Great job AutoZone.

However, after recently moving to Summerville and recently keeping cars past their warranty, we were on the lookout for a local mechanic. We saw many positive reviews on Morrison and also on the phone they were extremely polite. Recently took the Volvo in for a brake line flush for preventative maintenance plus it was braking kinda funny, they took care of us and had us in and out around lunchtime. Clean shop, friendly folks, and prices were very reasonable. Taking the kid's BRZ in this week for some preventative maintenance and confident they'll take just as good care of us then as they did in the past.
