I'm certain they don't care but perhaps the owner forgets there's an Autozone 100 yards away. There I was greeted by "welcome in, can I help you find anything?" Then did self checkout. I only have one car so had to wait for the oil change to be completed. From the time the part was ordered it was over 2.5 hours until the part was delivered. The agent at AAA Car Care called at least 4 times, that I witnessed, and was told every time that the delivery man was on the road and would be right there. Since the staff of AAA Car Care always gets their parts from Advance Auto Parts at 945 Bacons Bridge Road they knew the delivery drivers by name and were told who was delivering the filter. On the last call, over 2 hours after the first call, the man who was supposed to be "on the road" answered the phone. Because of this it took almost 3 hours to complete the oil change that should have taken 30 minutes at the most. I value honesty above all else, and don't appreciate it when a business displays both laziness and dishonesty. I commend AAA Car Care on 9980 Dorchester Road in Summerville for trying their best on my behalf. They refused to charge me for the oil change, even though the massive delay wasn't their fault.

Upon arriving, he was also there to check me in. Very friendly and helpful guy. When we spoke days before, I was told that the specific tire I needed would arrive by today but came to find out that it wasn't. However after inspecting my tire, they were able to repair it with a plug since it was just a nail that was causing the slow leak so it did end up working out. But in the future I do hope that it's communicated to me if my tire doesn't show up on time so that any time wasted is avoided. Overall the appointment only took about 45 minutes and I received a text to notify when my car was ready. It didn't cost me anything because I had put warranty on the tire which was also a nice feature they offered. I still plan on coming back to this location next time.

As part of my deciding which battery to buy, David explained my car required an electronic reset using specialized equipment not available from O'Reilly's. I have a mechanic friend, so I bought the battery. David retrieved the battery and placed it in the trunk of my car. I closed the lid. With my dead battery still installed my car wouldn't start. Neither of O'Reilly's battery chargers would start my car, and now my still installed battery is so dead my faub won't open the car trunk. My story is too long to continue. Just know that David made the extra efforts required to access my new battery from the car trunk and use it to jump start the car. Summerville, SC as a place to experience the worst customer service in the low country. My wife's Subaru had a headlight out. I made the mistake of thinking AutoZone could tell me which replacement bulb to buy. Even drove the car up there so they could run the VIN or whatever. I have been going to that AutoZone since they opened. Their store manager checked the computer and came up with a part number. Sylvania 9007. It was wrong, but I didn't know that yet. And it's understandable. Sometimes a database has bad information. Before I figured out I had the wrong bulb, I took the car to a garage, because the Subaru bulb replacement is through the fender well and too involved for a home repair. The mechanic called and informed me that the replacement bulb from AutoZone was incorrect. Ok, not a problem, it happens. The garage gave me a different part number. Sylvania 9005. I quickly returned to AutoZone and bought that bulb and took it back to the garage. Turns out that was also incorrect. But that wasn't AutoZone's fault either. That was the garage database. A guy at the garage finally got the right bulb and installed it. Yay! Two good headlights now shining from my wife's Subaru. The problem occurred when I went to return the incorrect bulbs. AutoZone let me return the second one I bought, the 9005. But not the first! I did not have the receipt! I showed the store manager my bank statement from my bank app evidencing the purchase from that Autozone 01009 for the exact price of the bulb, $55.63. Didn't matter. Had to have the receipt. So I went home and dug up the receipt and went back. Nope. Now they say the part number on the receipt does not match the part number on the bulb. Keep in mind, this was the part number they provided me and the receipt that they produced when they rang it up, all of which match my bank statement. The brand is the same brand as the bulbs on display. Sylvania Same brand as the one I returned. But nooooo... even with the receipt, they can't refund the $53.63 insane price for a light bulb. The store manager and assistant manager would not budge. They recommended I call the District Manager. His number was on a plaque by the door. I called the District Manager. Left a message. Politely explained everything. Left my number. Respectfully requested a call back. Over a week now and crickets. I have not heard back from the District Manager. I even called the Regional Manager, who's name and number are also on the plaque by the door. That number is disconnected. So... hate it, but AutoZone is going the way of Sears and KMart, coasting on their prior rep and forgetting the basics of customer service. I'll use Parks from now on, or O'Reilly's If you know anyone who needs a pair of Sylvania 9007s, let me know. They promptly told us they couldn't do the oil change because they didn't have the right filter. We drive a popular vehicle so no problem. After last Sunday we will not be back. They were very busy so we knew we were in for a wait. Not normally a big deal but after 2 1/2 -3 hours we were finally told that they couldn't even do the oil change because once again they didn't have our filter. Shouldn't a system be in place to tell them that when we sign in our car? We were kinda pissed but what can you do? It was getting late so we went home and didn't drive again until my husband was going to work the next day. On his was the low oil light came on as did the check engine notice. Our vehicle is a 2013 and we have NEVER had any oil leaking issues, or other low oil notices. Only thing we can figure is those in the auto care center began draining our oil before realizing they didn't have the filter. They gave the vehicle back without replacing what they took out leaving us to drive with low oil. Not a good way to treat customers or their 10s of thousands of dollars vehicles.
