Got me in late afternoon on a Thursday to assess the front end, showed me the impacted parts, gave me 3 options from lower cost to get home or to "what I would do of it were mine" to ensure it's 100% right. I took the - let's get it done right as I had a 300+ mile ride home to accomplish. Corey and his team were outstanding, recommend a local hotel, dropped me off there on the Thursday. Friday afternoon went back and browsed the extensive inventory they have on hand while repairs were wrapped up by closing time. Worker found a hole in my car's intake hose (it's a Versa, so it's supposed to be there) and just slides his finger in there while looking at me. In and out, a few times. As if I'm not supposed to know what the message is there. Then I told him I had driven my car like I stole it for a few miles so it could adjust to the new MAF sensor, and he said: "oh so you were like 'I'm going to drive you hard and you're gonna take it'". What the hell. What is it with these car guys?? Y'all need to get laid outside of business hours. Just get that horny energy out. Never thought I would say this but it's curbside pickup for me from now on.

So, if you are like I was 2 days ago...and you're in a bind with your motorcycle and you're near Lexington, Kentucky -- I've done the legwork for you. The short answer? Call Dave at Dave's Cycle Werks FIRST. It will save you a lot of time (and probably money, too)! STORY TIME: About 24 hours ago, my dad called me to tell me that he was stuck in Georgetown, KY. He and his buddy had been on a long motorcycle ride from Ohio down the east coast, had come across I-40W and were now making their way back up to Ohio. That's when his buddy's clutch cable snapped. It was Saturday evening and no one was open. They were stressed to the max. I called my dad and asked him what they were going to do. He said they were just waiting to hear back from a few different shops in Lexington. They needed to tow the bike somewhere it could be fixed during then ext week. They needed to leave it there and return to Ohio for work. That's when I called Dave's Cycle Werks and left a message explaining their situation. It was way too late to be calling, but I just figured it couldn't hurt to leave a message. Well, Dave called me back that very night and assured me that they could have the bike towed to his shop in the morning. To make a very long story a little shorter, Dave was able to find a replacement clutch cable that night (A MIRACLE!!!!). He then met my dad and his friend at his shop the next morning (On a SUNDAY), and got them back on the road within a few hours....all for a cost that was actually too low if you ask me. When all was said and done, they were able to get home just a few hours later than planned...and we all had made a new friend along the way (DAVE!). As far as I'm concerned, this story really highlights the solid character and professionalism you can expect when you choose Dave's Cycle Werks to handle your repair.
