This was 8:30 at night already, so not many places were still open. I don't know the first thing about replacing a headlight, so I had to hope I could find somewhere both still open and with someone willing to install it for me. To make things worse, a drizzly snow/rain mix was just starting to come down. I'm so glad I stopped here. One of their employees, named Dan, went way far out of his way -- in the dark, in freezing rain conditions, at the last minute and past the official store closing time, fiddling with a temperamental part of the headlight assembly that didn't want to go back together, and while recovering from a rotator cuff injury! -- to replace my headlight and get me on my way. He was professional, courteous, and friendly. I will definitely stop at this particular store on my way to and from Kansas City for any future auto parts needs.

It's always kinda jarring when a car battery decides to go, because it often happens without any notice...just boom, you car makes a loud clicking, the lights flash, and you need a jump. Once we got a jump, we didn't want to spend the whole weekend dealing with it, so we left the car on and started Yelping for car battery installation. This spot was helpful, but priced a notch higher than some other shops I've been to. I felt like we were paying for the convenience of getting it handled quickly, which honestly is worth it. Quick side rant here: What's with the local auto shops being closed on Saturday's? It's just dawning on me how weird that is as that's a key time for many people.
