Saved by Cordale - A True Professional I visited the Advance Auto Parts store at 3345 Centerville Hwy, Snellville, GA, on July 23, 2025. As a regular customer at this location, I've always appreciated the knowledgeable and hospitable staff. However, during this visit, I encountered an unfortunate situation at checkout. One of the items I selected rang up at a higher price than advertised. I politely informed the cashier that the price was incorrect and offered to show him the shelf where I found the product. Upon review, it was clear that two identical items were marked at $9.99, and one was still on the shelf at that price. The cashier acknowledged the pricing mismatch but instead of offering an apology or correcting the error, he rudely suggested that other customers may have moved the product and insisted he would not honor the $9.99 price. He then moved the item to the $14.99 section and continued the conversation with an unprofessional and dismissive tone. At this point, it wasn't about the $5 difference--it was about principle and the integrity of a store I've supported for years. Fortunately, another cashier, Cordale, walked up during the exchange and asked what was going on. After I explained, he listened attentively, apologized sincerely for the confusion, and proceeded to check me out--honoring the original shelf price. Cordale's professionalism and customer-first attitude completely turned the situation around and reaffirmed my loyalty to this store. As a hobbyist auto mechanic, I've spent thousands of dollars at this location--despite living closer to an AutoZone. Cordale's approach is exactly why I've continued to return. On the other hand, the cashier involved in the initial interaction would benefit greatly from training in customer service and conflict resolution. His dismissive attitude reflects poorly on the brand. I will continue shopping at this location but will make every effort to avoid being assisted by that particular cashier. I stopped by this Advance Auto Parts to pick up some oil for my car. Luckily, they were running a deal at the time of my visit: Buy 5 quarts of Castrol Edge full synthetic oil for only $28.99 ($5.80 per quart). Normally 1 quart is $9.99, so this was a great deal. They had a small shopping cart at the entrance so I used that to transport my 5 quarts of oil to the register. Associate Austin J confirmed the deal for me and rang me up. I accidentally left my wallet in the car, but I was able to pay with my phone using Google Pay. That was convenient. Austin was well-mannered and helpful. This is Advance Auto Parts store #09699. The store was showing its age, from the weathered street sign outside to the worn cart I used inside. However, I got a great price on oil and service was great. They have the products that I need and the employees have helped me so much. My husband and I try not to frequent this auto parts store. The staff can be a little rude... Kind a like they are doing you a favor by answering questions. They seem bothered when you ask where something is. Or we've had them point to where the item is in the store that we need. Customer service definitely needs improvement. I gave them two stars just because they have auto parts. Although the last few times we've gone they've not had what we need it. But nevertheless they are an auto parts store. read more

My BMW X5 requires Pentosin ATF 1 Automatic Transmission Fluid (5 Liters) at a cost of $75.99! However, I was given a $49.99 version ATF 1 LV. When I inquired as to the difference, I did not know at the time that the cost was $49.99 and I installed to fluid. After painstakingly installing the material, I tried to drive the car and it was extremely sluggish. Thinking I did not install enough fluid, I purchased a smaller container for $19.99. This is when I discovered I installed the incorrect fluid. The smaller LV container actually cost $13.99. After i completed my investigation, I was more than a bit upset. I attempted to call corporate but the wait was too long. I decided to revisit the store to request the correct fluid even though I already installed the incorrect fluid. After explaining the situation to Carvester, the manager at the time, he restored my faith in Advance Auto by exchanging the incorrect fluid with the correct fluid. Now, all I have to do is drain the incorrect transmission fluid and install the correct fluid. I hope that I did not damage my vehicle as a result of installing the incorrect (wrong) fluid.
