I was quoted $250 for a thermostat replacement and A/C diagnosis, but the final bill came to $550 without my approval of the additional charges. I specifically explained that my A/C had a major leak. Instead of repairing the leak, they added dye and recharged the system, a temporary measure, not a repair, and the A/C issue remained unresolved. I was also charged for 3 gallons of coolant during the thermostat replacement, which raised concerns for me since a thermostat replacement typically involves draining and refilling the system rather than adding a large amount of coolant. The invoice also showed 3 lbs. of refrigerant, while my vehicle's listed A/C capacity is approximately 1.3 lbs. I was verbally told there would be a 1-year warranty, but the written warranty provided afterward stated 90 days. Based on my experience, I have serious concerns about the pricing, communication, and repair process. I have filed a consumer protection complaint with the Georgia Attorney General's Office. I took my daughter's car here for an electrical issue at 8am on a Tuesday. We didn't hear from them till we called at 2pm to see if there was an update. They said there were no issues with the car and we could come pick it up. We said we wanted to leave it there overnight to make sure the issue didn't resurface, as my daughter needs the car to drive to work and I we don't want her to get stranded. No call the next morning. We called at 11am to see if it was still fine. They hadn't looked at it yet and said they would look at it now. No return call again. We called at 1pm and they said we needed an NEW ENGINE! No, not engine but a new "motor". We asked for an explanation. These are the reasons they provided. 1. They said we had no oil in the car. - My husband has been changing the oil in the car for the last 6 years. My daughter checked the oil last week. There was oil in the car. The car has NEVER not had oil. 2. There was a valve cover leak. - News to us. This was not an issue before we came here. We have never had visible oil around the oil cover. 3. A cylinder is misfiring. - This is a sign that a spark plug or the coil needs to be replaced. I don't know if they thought we didn't know anything about cars because we are women but they are definitely wrong. We immediately went up there to pick up the car. The car was still in the garage with the hood up. There was a large blue oil drain in front of our car that was supposed to bone dry. We drove away and there was a cloud of white smoke. What the heck! We came there was an electrical issue. The car has NEVER had this issue. We pulled over and drove in my car to the auto part store to pick up a quart of oil. No issues after to put oil in the car. I ran a diagnostic on the car because we have a micro mechanic diagnostic reader. NOW the car reads that there cylinder 1 is misfiring. Luckily we know how to change spark plugs and coils. After we fix the damage they did to the car, we're taking it to Hyundai to finally get the electrical looked at. A wait of money and two days of time. We are out $80 for their mandatory diagnostic fee, Vo didn't have this, the price of an emergency quart of oil and the spark plug or oil after we perform the test to see which one is having the issue. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! DO NOT GO HERE!

He never fixed what was not necessary to fix at the time and would give us a priority list with low pricing that was always honored, of what we needed to pay attention to and when we needed to bring it in for that service. He never took advantage and would even let us get our own parts without the markup and install them for labor only. He was a very fair man and will liked. I miss him greatly. I give Mr Vo 5 stars. The new guys, maybe 2 stars. I believe they have much to learn about customer service. They just don't have the passion for it that he had.

Owner lied to me (again) and said that the reason the patch took so long was because the plug was leaking air. I had this shop repair my AC in September 2025 and experienced a strange issue where the AC would not turn on when the car was parked on hot days. I garage park my car so I rarely experienced the issue. With this hot weather recently the issue regularly appeared. I took it in as I had a two year warranty. After having the car for half a day they insisted nothing was wrong. They begrudgingly agreed to test again. After a few hours of the car parked in the hot sun, they saw the problem. They subsequently told me the Freon and PAC oil was way out of specs and I needed an evac and recharge. The problem is they were the only people to touch the AC and last to evac/recharge. When I explained this, they stated it was my fault as I must have had someone else work on it. I told them no one else but them worked on it. They said that is impossible. I pointed out how it could happen and they said even if they did make a mistake the Freon is not covered under warranty. When they originally fixed my AC they had issues and had to install a second compressor. Yet they stated they don't make mistakes. Customers vote with their wallet and they lost this customer of several years who has spent thousands on various services. Shame on you Grayson Tire & Automotive, do better. I will no longer recommend them on this platform.
