Very friendly service at this store. Was able to call and find out if they had part I needed and have them hold. I actually needed 2 and since they only had 1, they called their other store, car quest and was able to pick up the other one needed. They also give military discount. Awesome! Would definitely come back when the need arises. read more

Went in the store today to get a new battery for my vehicle and employee refused to assist because he stated he was the only one in the store. I told employee that I will take my business to AutoZone. This is not great sales and is not great customer service so I will start doing business with another auto part company. read more

My son went into the store at S. Main Street in Wake Forest and asked for wiper blades for his 2009 Nissan Versa SL Hatchback. The man at the counter said,"They don't make them anymore." My son meant the wiper blade refills (replacement blades). The man looked it up and so, "No, we don't have any." This was my son's first experience buying car accessories and parts since he started driving. My son, then went to Auto Zone, asked for the exact same thing, and got exactly what he needed. The Auto Zone employee even showed him how to put them on. The lack of customer service at this Advance Auto Parts location was poor. The man could have at least asked my son did he mean the replacement blades ...most employees would have understood what he was asking for in order to assist the customer. The guy today on Sunday, October 10th at 1:00 pm was a very poor example of good customer service. We have been loyal customers of Advance Auto in Wake Forest for over 10 years. We will now switch all of our business to Auto Zone. read more

Definitely a place for the well-trained hobbyist mechanic who knows exactly what part he or she needs. The person at this store was as much a mechanic as he was a marine biologist. The store was understaffed, the kid who finally located the front counter was smug, arrogant, lazy, and unable (or unwilling to determine the size of something as simple as a standard OEM hex nut size. He's obviously wealthy and this job is belittling to him. He has much better and more important things to do than to slim it at Advanced Auto Parts. I left with two cheap wipers and bought five quarts of my fave synthetic and performance oil filter at Walmart (A little cheaper). Another danger of online employment applications, "You never know what you're going to get!" I give them two stars. Their battery prices aren't the cheapest, but for the extra cost, they will install the battery "free." Hint: So do most service stations. And they can answer the questions Happy Shopping! read more

Ok so I just called & asked if they sale fibreglass putty & the girl says "ummm fibreglass putty?" & i said "yes as in Bondo to repair a dent or rust spot" to which she replies "ummm for a dent??" I mean HELLO!!!! You work at an auto parts store & you don't know what a dent in a car is or Bondo to repair it???? WHY are you working at a parts story????? Geez!!!! read more

I always get very good service and help here. Everyone is typically friendly. Today I went in because I was having a battery issue with a battery less than 2 years old. Raven was on it instantly and took amazing care of me. I now have a replacement battery and am hoping this solves the issues I've been having. Had a great experience with John (store manager) last weekend and can't speak highly enough towards his help. My check engine light came on and I brought my car into my auto body shop for their input. After receiving a $1300 estimate towards "needed" repairs, I brought my car over to Advance and got free diagnostic testing. Based off the diagnosis, John told me that only a very small portion of overall repair was needed to resolve the check engine problem. Moreover, given his past history as a mechanic, he even recommended trying to go under the dealership so it would potentially be covered under my warranty. I did exactly that, and got all the repairs completed (parts, labor, etc) for $0.00. He even was kind enough to continually answer my questions by phone after I left the physical store itself regarding potential next steps. Without his incredible insight and experience, I would of ended up spending a lot more money than needed. He went above and beyond for me and I sincerely appreciate their commitment to their customers! Thanks John! read more

We we're stuck in the parking lot close to shaba shabu and we had no idea how to fix our problem. We headed over to advanced Auto and met Shaq. He absolutely turned around our day! He even made time to come to the other side of the parking lot to help us and gave us all of the things we needed. He was so kind and helpful. Very genuine person. read more

Thanks so much to the staff and specifically Raven Chandler for resolving my issue!!!! We had been dealing with an extreme unpleasant smell in the back pocket of the front passengers seat from a cheeseburger that had been left for dead. This happened over a hot summer weekend about 2 months ago. The smell was so bad you would be gagging by the time you got where you were heading. Several products were tried claiming to eliminate odors strong enough even for urine smells however, each time we found ourselves disappointed because the smell persisted. Thinking we were going to have to pay for an expensive professional clean we reached out to the car experts for help. Raven directed us to two products one a leather cleaner and the other an odor eliminator fogger that runs through the vents. It was amazing! After only 30min the odor was gone! Would recommend this store to anyone searching for support with an automotive need. read more

My car battery died, so I took it into Advance Auto Parts (where I had originally purchased it) to test it and, if necessary, replace it. Sure enough, it was a goner. I was ready to pay for a replacement when the gentleman who assisted me took the initiative to review my purchase history and determine that my old battery was still under warranty and eligible for replacement (even though I didn't have the receipt)! Pro-active service like that is a rarity these days, and was much appreciated! read more

It is corporate policy at Advance Auto to give top priority to someone calling by phone. I have been there many times where I stand there waiting to buy something only to keep getting delayed while the person at the counter keeps picking up the phone. When I complain I am told it is corporate policy. Today I complained to corporate for the second time. Here is the chat transcript: Thank you for chatting with Advance Auto Parts and Batteries. You: Hi I would like to complain again about your corporate policy of picking up the phone and dealing with the call-ins while the paying customer is waiting.
