His attitude felt dismissive, and it seemed like he treated me and my parents differently because of our skin color. I returned today to exchange the wipers and had a completely different experience -- a young woman with blue eyes and long blonde hair was extremely helpful and respectful. This store needs more employees like her and serious action taken regarding the behavior of the employee I encountered earlier.

My car would not start this morning until my husband hooked cables up to the battery and pressed a button. Then I was on my way. After working a long day and having electrical issues, I was ready to head home. The same thing happened, car would not start. A couple of my coworkers came to assist thinking that I may need a jump. I handed them the power pack, which they hooked to my battery and pressed a button. It started. I refused to turn off my car until I reached a location where my battery could be replaced. At my first stop, I was informed that the battery needed for my car was available. AND, it was on sale for 5$ off. BUT, they no longer do installs because too many customers were filing false damage claims. Are you kidding me? I had turned off my car thinking I was good. Said a quick prayer to make it across the street to the strip mall where Interstate Battery was located. Car started, I made it. Went in a bit frazzled and, I did NOT turn off my car. Lol. I took a slow, deep breath and asked for assistance. The young man came outside and asked me to pop my hood. I said: "I'll pop the hood but I'm not turning off my car." He looked at me and smiled. He said: "I'll be right back." He came back and told me that he had good news and bad news. I braced for the worst. Good news; we have your battery. Bad news; we can't install it without you turning off your car. He had me in tears cracking up. After the day I was having, for him to make me laugh like that was priceless. The install took less than fifteen minutes. They also informed me that I had the original manufacturer battery in my car and that it was seven years old. I am so grateful that it was a simple fix and that I was guided to the right place. Thank you again Marty and Larry. You both added a little joy to my day.

My 2001 Pontiac Aztek had a check engine light that kept coming on. They told me all the problems it could be and prioritized it by likelihood and price. They went down the list and addressed each one. The final one was a bad valve and they replaced it but the check engine still did not go off. Instead of charging me for it, they took it out and returned it and didn't even charge me the labor cost. They got my car fixed multiple times in the past but at this point it's just too old and they advised me to not put any more money into it. I trust them with my car and know that they won't take advantage of my lack of knowledge about car issues. I highly recommend First Auto and will always use them for any issues with my new car.

The store is well setup with some isles, equipment displays, and a back shop area. The parking lot is well sized but it is very difficult to turn left on the way out. After investigating what the store had, we had some questions. There were a few folks in the store which kept the staff busy. Trevor recognized us waiting for some assistance and interacted to show he would be with us soon. Trevor was easy to speak with and had in depth knowledge of the store inventory and what to use the tools for. Trevor got to know me and respected me for being an occasional do-it-yourself mechanic. At checkout, material was presented to me based around courses the location offers (Free and Charged). Overall I recommend stopping in to grab materials for the upcoming powder coating, rust repair, or automotive work project. Items are moderately priced and the quality appears to be decent.
