A few days ago our ice maker stopped working and our fridge/freezer seemed to be on the warmer side. While I poked around to see if it was something I could handle fixing, there were any number of things that could've been busted. So I decided to act like an evolved male, actually took my wife's advice, and called to get it serviced. I called two places, both of which had appointments over a week out. Feeling like my meats and veg wouldn't last a week, I called Dean, hoping that the third time would be the charm. We talked about the problem and he asked me insightful questions. I felt like he was honestly trying to figure out if he could get to our place sooner, but the best he could do was 3 days off. Better than a week, so I booked it. Well, he came today, on the early side of the 2 hour window he gave. He put booties on and headed right to the fridge, no time-wasting small talk. I reiterated what the symptoms were and he checked it out. Unfortunately for us, there was a pretty large issue going on, basically one that would cost an arm and a leg, and about the cost of a new replacement fridge. He apologized and said he wished he had better news. To finish up, we talked about what brands to consider, of which he would only tell me which ones to avoid based on experience; he wouldn't recommend any though, which is fair. And as others have said, we chatted about maintaining our current appliances. He even gave me a tip about finding replacement oven racks inexpensively. So, $69 well spent. Dean is a guy that seems to know his business and isn't there to socialize. He may have been able to assure himself of more work by fixing the issue, but he chose to be honest and say that it's probably not worth the cost. Quick and efficient. We found the problem with the washing machine in late afternoon. We called right then, and Dean was out first thing the next morning. Not only did he fix the problem, he checked all hose connections, and ran the wash cycle a couple times to make sure evrything was working as it should. We highly recommend this company. I had a microwave that needed repair. I provided him the model number and both of the parts that he would need to bring for the repair. Easy right?! Nope! He showed up and after about ten minutes he said he wouldn't be able to fix anything. This was surprising to me because he knew everything he would need ahead of time and came with nothing. Even more surprising to me was he expected to be paid for showing up unprepared and accomplishing nothing. After a brief chat he agreed he shouldn't be paid and left. I have since contacted him multiple times for a diagnosis because he left nothing in writing and have not heard back. I don't usually leave reviews (this is the first review I've left in at least five years) but the fact he showed up "hoping something else was wrong" and wasn't actually the parts I told him and then cant even provide me anything in writing for the warranty company, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. read more

I too will add a 5 star review. If you wanted to preheat our Dacor oven to 425, you had to plan it a day in advance. After Dean, fixed it, he gave it a test run and it went to 350 in 11 minutes. He noted they're not the fastest heating ovens in the world, but 11 minutes beat any record in the 4 1/2 years we've lived in the home. He could have packed up and left after that, but instead gave me instructions on preventative maintenance for all the other appliances in the house. Disposal, dishwasher, washer, dryer, refrigerator. Don't know if he has kids but I may be calling him for some advice about those as well. A good overall experience with an oven that's now doing what it's supposed to. We were able to get a service call the next day. Our washer door needed repair. Dean was great and tried several things. Ended up we need a new door and hinge. Not only are the parts expensive, they are on back order. Just the way things are these days. Dean was very honest. We discussed age of washer versus cost of parts and decided to purchase a new washer. Before he left we were able to get the door to work temporarily. Our Bosch dishwasher was experiencing mechanical difficulties. We contacted Advanced. Dean came over to diagnose our issues a few days later. If you're looking for an honest service evaluation and appraisal of your appliance, Advanced is the place to contact. We were told of the issue at hand and what it would cost. Dean determined given the age of our appliance, it would be in our best interest to purchase a new dishwasher. This made sense as the parts and labor would exceed over $500 to repair. Dean is awesome. My only complaint is that I wish I would have found him sooner with previous repair issues that I either paid too much for or waited to long for someone to come and fix. Came on time to fix convection oven. Felt he was completely knowledgeable and honest. He had to order an additional part and came back to complete job sooner than anticipated. I had a 8 year old Dacor wall oven that was overheating. I ran the basic diagnostic self- check on it myself and had the error code. Called these guys and gave them my Dacor model number and was scheduled for the next day. At my home he double checked my code reading, identified the problem and provided a quote. The best part is that he had purchased the correct part the previous day anticipating my oven's problem. This saved him a trip and save me time. Dean is your best bet for a quality repair with competitive pricing. We had oil spill and somehow seep into our gas range (French fries are a fickle friend) and needed the insulation replaced (the oil was causing the insulation to burn when using the oven and it smelled of impending death). I called around and got quotes from several appliance repair companies and also looked at reviews. Advanced Appliance Solutions had the best reviews, best price, and fastest availability to get the part and come out. He's a professional guy (very responsive, clear communication, showed up on time, wore shoe covers in the house, etc) and very knowledgeable. It took longer than he planned but he stayed to finish the job right and didn't charge us extra. He even gave us tips on other appliance maintenance. This guy is fantastic!! I moved into a new place and the house had a 4-prong outlet for my dryer cord and my old dryer was 3-prong. I tried to change the cord on the dryer myself, but failed. I didn't want to purchase a new dryer, so I called Advanced Appliance Solutions because of their good reviews. GOOD CALL! He got it all fixed up, was able to get the vent connected (the builder smashed the vent when building it so it was oval) shortened it and heat sealed it. He tested everything on the dryer and it came out on top with flying colors. then he went through the rest of my appliances and told me tips and how and when to clean them. Things I had no clue about and had never been told. Plus he said when I want to replace an appliance to call him... he said he couldn't tell me what to buy, but what not to buy. All this for $99. Our dryer started with a high pitch squeal, burning smell, and stopped. After calling on a Monday we had an appointment on Wednesday. He arrived before our scheduled appt time and was fast, efficient, and very reasonably priced for the repair. He even had to leave to obtain a specific part but returned quickly and saved us from having to schedule another appointment. I had made an appt. With Dean. He called the morning of and let me know that he thought the part was available to fix my washing machine. But the mother board may be the next thing to break on my 15 yr. washer and they don't make it anymore. He gave me the financial risk of fixing it or buying a new one. Simply impressed. I called to have my dryer fixed first thing in the morning and spoke with them about the problem. I text a picture of the make and model of the clothes dryer and by the time I got home from work it was taken care of. We got back home from 10 days of vacation only to find that our washing machine did not work. After looking at all the reviews on Yelp I called Dean at Advanced Appliance Solutions and he told me that he could come out the next day to diagnose the problem and what that charge would be and then if we wanted to go ahead with the repairs after he figured out what was wrong with it he would take care of it. No pressure, very professional. When he showed up the next day first thing he did is put on his booties and went right to work. Dean at Advanced Appliance is a total lifesaver and clearly a stand-up guy with good business ethics. I haven't met him or even paid him to repair my washer, because he talked me through some possible easy fixes on the phone first. My 1.5-year-old front-loading washer got stuck in the drain cycle and was making a horrible noise. A bunch of wet clothes were locked inside, and the controls were totally unresponsive. Dean told me to try his suggestion, and if it started working again, to give him a call back to cancel my appointment. I poured several pitchers of cold water through the soap dispenser to get rid of suds buildup, and sure enough, it worked! I called him back, and he even gave me some tips for preventing issues in the future (mainly, you only need a fraction of the soap that the dispenser says is the max: just 1 tablespoon). He was going to be able to come out the next morning, whereas Sears would have made us wait a whole week (at which point our trapped clothes would have been a mold farm). Hopefully, we won't have any appliance issues for a long time, but if and when we do, I'll definitely be giving him a call.
