We've been buying most of our appliances from Hamilton's since the 80's. Our new name brand…read morerefrigerator went out on us after six months and it was still under the manufacturers one year warranty. However the manufacturers service repairman would be a week out on appointments. After I reported this delay back to Hamilton's they told me not to worry they'll have a loaner sent to me by the end of the day. Folks, you won't get this kind of care and compassion from the big box stores.

This post is warning people to NOT buy the extended warranty option. We have had great experiences…read morewith Hamilton's and its people. However, Hamilton's decided to partner with this company and therefore only gets 3 stars. (I was debating between 3 and 4). We bought a wall unit oven/microwave in 2021 that cost about $3k. The keypad went out. The error code is clear. The system notice tells you. We told the warranty people what the error code said. Extended warranty folks required I be home half a day. They arrive and tell me the oven needs a new keypad. Really?!?! Long story short, the oven is not repaired. It is now a full 2 months we have been without. We had to buy a countertop microwave, but still no oven. Extended Warranty keeps opening and closing tickets, and then stopped communicating because about 4 weeks after we started the process, the warranty expired. Now they don't think they have an obligation to finish the repair even though it started weeks before expiration. We had to order our own part and will install it ourselves. Thank you YouTube. Remedy will be to file small claims lawsuit for the value of the part and cost of the warranty. I only hope Hamilton's makes right with future customers and refuses selling this shoddy warranty product.

I hired this company for an AC diagnostic visit, and the diagnosis was wrong…read more Communication was a problem from the start: the technician had difficulty communicating in English, and despite my explicit request for a phone call to coordinate with my husband, we received only a brief, low-detail text about what was found. At no point did the company provide a clear written summary of what was actually wrong with the system. We were left to piece together the diagnosis from a short text message. The technician diagnosed the problem as a breaker issue, not the AC unit itself. I had two separate licensed electricians inspect the breaker afterward, and both independently ruled it out as the cause. When I contacted the company to ask about a follow-up visit, I was told they'd charge me again if they didn't find anything new, effectively putting the cost of their own misdiagnosis back on me. I hired a different HVAC company instead, who found two distinct underlying issues this company's technician missed entirely. To their credit, this company refunded the original diagnostic fee once I pushed back. But they doubled down, insisting the second company's findings were wrong rather than acknowledging the initial diagnosis was off-base, despite three independent professionals (two electricians and a second HVAC company) contradicting it. Bottom line: a wrong diagnosis, a policy that charges customers again to correct their own mistakes, and a company unwilling to reconsider even when multiple independent professionals disagreed with them. The refund doesn't offset the time lost chasing the wrong problem. Get a second opinion before acting on anything this company tells you.

He worked very efficiently and gave me a detailed breakdown of what parts had failed, what would be involved in replacing it, how long it would take to get the needed parts, and exactly what the cost would be. When he returned with the needed parts a few days later, I asked if he could look at some issues we had with our kitchen stove, and he very kindly went over all the burners and the oven parts with me, going into the "innards" of the oven to diagnose in detail what was going on. He clearly explained what was going on with our clogged burners, clearing them on the spot, and showing me exactly what was going on with the main oven and broiler igniters (both of which clearly needed replacement; he took photos that showed exactly what was going on inside my oven). When it became clear that the broiler igniter was backordered, he went out on E-Bay to find one that could be delivered within a week. The full repair estimate was VERY reasonable and clearly conveyed to me - and it was less than half of what another appliance repair person had told us (without supporting details) when we tried to fix our stove before. I would heartily recommend OMG and their excellent tech Anton for any home appliance repairs - they're rock stars!!
