They have gone to hell!! Same people owns since I was first in there 15 yrs ago , service was great. The majority of staff/ owners that were 15 yrs ago were still there a year ago and again blew $15,000 (fifteen thousand bucks in cash in one single day, this time around they did put the extended 5 year warranties on my appliances as they did 15 yrs ago. The seem to either be tired or something. The delivery kids they had this time around seem to have lazy & couldn't put a bed frame together. As for the mattress I pd 1400$ in the shopping spree I recently had there has failed!! It's got a body groove on one side of the mattress!! I refuse to ever blow a wad like that there ever again. I recently moved to the area and needed a washer and a dryer. I had purchased other appliances at local big box stores but for one reason or another, supply issues meant it would be weeks before I could get delivery. Enter Riegelmann's Appliance, just a short drive away from my new home. Their prices were good or better than the big box stores and the drawers that go underneath were available for less than half what I was quoted elsewhere. No, they were not the Whirlpool branded drawers but they were drawers, not appliances, and are sturdy enough to do the job. I recently called Riegelman's to get advice on what to do regarding my freezer. The door didn't shut properly and I didn't realize it until several hrs later. Fortunately except for one item everything was still frozen solid. An ice pack had fallen out and i didn't realize it I spoke with the service fellow and he told me that as long as everything was still frozen, It was fine. I have had Riegelmann's come to my house several times to repair various appliances. The most recent was my dryer repair two weeks ago. Ben came to my home and was kind and courteous. He not only fixed my dryer but by removing excess ducting and digging a mountain of lint out of the exterior duct he helped my dryer function better than it has in years. Don't buy an extended warranty! We have a Kitchen Aid (made by Whirlpool) refrigerator-freezer that's been on the fritz for the past two days, but no one will come service it for another four days! Evidently Riegelmann is all too anxious to take your money, but an extended warranty is barely worth the paper it's printed on. It doesn't even cover food loss! This is similar service (or rather, lack of) that we got from Lowe's when the fridge we bought from them years ago conked out. But at least they DID cover food loss and after not being able to promptly remedy the situation the second time, they took the defective fridge back. So much for the local "mom and pop" being any better. I'll know better next time! read more

I have to give some very solid thumbs up to Riegelmann's. We have been looking at appliances for over a year. We were not in dire straits but knew all our appliances were 12 years old and coming down to need replacements (plus the people who owned our house previously had no concept in how to maintain a refrigerator or dishwasher). We looked at Lowe's, we looked a Home Depot; okay stuff but we felt a lack of service and knowledge...most a lack of service. We stopped by Rieglemann's one day, out of a whim, and their knowledge and upfront service was outstanding. Our salesperson was low pressure, but available to answer questions and share his opinions. Within 30 minutes of being there we had a quote for 4 different appliances (including delivery) and a suggestion on where else we could look. We went back the next day, handed the quote to a different person and we were good to go. And delivery worked out great....$99 fee...but that was for all four appliances even though they were going to be 3 different shipments. All the deliveries came as quoted (the refrigerator was quoted at 1 to 4 months...came in 1 month), delivery people were nice and did an excellent job on installation. A very good transaction all around. I felt Rieglemann's prices were competitive once you did all the "adders" needed for the Home Depot or Lowe's. I needed all new kitchen appliances and I needed to order them while living in a different state. The salesperson (Mile D) was great to work with and helped me through everything. He spent several hours on the phone with me guiding me through all the decisions. I never felt any pressure. He always returned calls quickly and immediately sent updated quotes as changes were made. The cooktop was slow to come in, so Mike was able to provide all the info needed so that the cutout of the countertop could be done on time. We purchased a refrigerator early this year, and 2 of the doors started developing some wierd looking "dimples", a cosmetic defect, which the manufacturer's warranty specifically does not cover. We brought the problem to the attention of Riegelmann's service department. They had never had anyone have this issue, and, after showing them a few reviews of other people having the same issue with this refrigerator, they decided to replace the doors for us. We are grateful to Riegelmann's as they went far beyond normal, at their cost, to correct a factory defect that, even the manufacturer did not want to cover. Thank you Riegelmann's. We bought a washer from Riegelmann's and I'm happy with my purchase. BUT, were told that the installers would take out our old washer and then give me a chance to clean the floor and the wall behind the washer. But the young 'men' that delivered the washer rushed me and wouldn't let me clean the area before they shoved the washer in and took off. Not impressed with their flippant and discourteous installers. So, I needed a new range and because I like to patronize locally owned businesses, I went back there to look for a range. The only available salesman, (the rest of the crew were busy with phone calls) a pushy guy, tried to convince me to buy a type of range I didn't want. I wanted a gas range, but the salesman argued with me and basically told me I'm too stupid to know how I want to cook. The sales people are not at all pushy, they really seemed to want to just help me find the best appliances for my needs. The pricing was very fair. After lesser than satisfactory service from Lowe's snd Homedepot I stumbled into Riegelmann's appliances. I was hesitant because I assumed a small store would be way more expensive. It wasn't. They had a better selection of washers and dryers and since I had a small laundry room, that really helped. Service by Dakota was exceptional. Installers came on time, which of course I expect, but so rarely get. I wish I had the installers names as they took extra effort to make my dryer fit in the enclosure. The staff is friendly and seems knowledgeable. The only thing I don't like is their selection is just ok. A lot of used appliances and there are not specs next to the machine. You just look at it and open it. I prefer specs to see the size, square footage capacity, etc. I wish they would specialize in something like only fridges or washer/dryers. It's weird they carry mattresses too, Just get rid of that and expand your other appliances. Overall, not a bad store but not great either. We went in to talk to them but never could get a straight answer. They kept telling us about a sale on new items which ended 'tomorrow.' We bought our hard-to-find white, counter-depth fridge from Riegelmann's Appliance 6 years ago. (They gave a loaner fridge while we were waiting for the ordered one to arrive.) A few weeks ago, the water dispenser on this Whirlpool fridge stopped working and we couldn't find a fix for the problem on the internet. So, we then used Riegelmann's website to put in a service order -- on a Sunday afternoon -- and Monday morning @ 9:00 am, received a phone call from their Service Department to schedule a service call in the next couple of days. The Service Technician showed up on time and assessed that the problem was most likely a faulty part, which he ordered. Even though this meant that he would have to come back to install the new part, he stated that it's Riegelmann's policy to not charge for the second trip for the installation. My wife and I came here to buy a new stovetop, oven, down draft vent system and a microwave. When we first got there we were approached by a salesman. We started telling him what we wanted. He talked over us and bad mouthing the product we wanted to buy. He also kept complaining about how their displays don't work could seem to answer our questions and or even know how to find out. Eventually another salesman came over and took over. He seemed to know a lot more information and was more personable. The conversation seemed to be going well but he also kept cutting us off and giving replies that had nothing to do with what we will be asking. (Understandable since he never let us finish asking our question before giving an answer). Finally, I started to ask to compaire experience I'll have between the lower and higher CFM. But again he wouldn't let me finish talking. So he started telling me about the price difference. I stopped him (fed up with it) and started over. He yet again interrupted me, this time telling me that " yes I could buy a smaller unit but it will cost more to buy them separately". I was done so I told my wife I was done and I'll be in the car. I spent about an hour in this place in mid January. Knowing full well my refer was on it's last days as an inside refer soon to be moved to the garage as we lost ice making capabilities and the last time I changed the water filter on the bottom side of the unit I had about an inch of standing water in a 10 foot area of my hardwoods. Fast forward and I spoke with Matt as well as Josh from Riegelmann's. Spent time on the phone and really allowed them the opportunity to not only earn my business, but show me the ins and outs of new technology on refrigerators. They answered all of my questions and took the time to ensure I was well versed in all the different models available that fit my needs. I waited until Memorial day as I knew sales would be prevalent. I shopped around and actually found the model I purchased at a local Lowes store. I opened a credit card with them to save an additional 5% off my purchase. The next morning I contacted Riegelmann's and spoke with Mike Dunay. I was transparent and honest with him and told him the price I paid and the model number. Mike went to work, and absolutely exceeded my expectations. I had paid for the extended warranty through Lowes which I normally never do, so I went ahead and did so through Riegelmann's only because I have heard incredible things about their service after sale. Long story short, my refrigerator showed up about a week ahead of when Lowes was able to deliver it, and their installers were not only on time, but professional and took the time with me to show me the inns and outs of my new fridge! They moved my existing fridge to the garage as promised, leveled it up and made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend Riegelmann's for any purchase, you have complete satisfaction through the entire process and the peace of mind in dealing with a local company makes you feel good inside. Mike Dunay, you my friend have earned a customer for life and I thank you for your diligence in putting this deal together for me. If there is one small downside to the process, and it is a small one. I would have hoped that the installers would have had some stainless steel cleaner or polish or whatever needs to be applied to this appliance so as to hide some of the finger prints they put all over the unit. I am afraid to clean this the wrong way with the wrong cleaning product and in my opinion it would have been the cherry on top for them to have cleaned it down properly for me prior to leaving my home. I Ordered a new Speed Queen washer from them and it ended up taking 2 weeks to arrive, no fault of there own, a problem with there supplier. And when it did arrive, it had some cosmetic damage. They offered to order another or I could take deliver of this one and they would sell it to me with a fair discount of which we agreed.
