My car was hit at a stop light in late January. The light impact left an outline of the license plate and small tear in the rear bumper clip. Brought my to Advanced Collision for a quote to fix. David came out and looked the car over and provided me quote within a few minutes. The quote appeared reasonable for the work noted. Brought the back a few days later for the work to be performed. The shop called the day before completion to say the car would be ready the next day. The shop called again the next morning to confirm that the car would be done as originally quoted. I inspected the car and the repair great. Paint match is excellent and finish very clean. Will definitely use this shop again for any future repairs. Extraordinary customer service and very thorough. My wife was involved in a car accident in April, and amongst other things that needed to be repaired, the car battery that was brand new from "Auto Zone" was not holding a charge. George and his staff gave my wife a new battery until she as able to get a replacement from "Auto Zone" without any concerns about reimbursement. They were clearly more concerned about the possibility that my wife's car would be stuck somewhere without a charge than the money. Of course we told them once we figured out if it was the battery or the car we'd gladly pay. If you want to feel good about whoever is working on your car, go to Advanced Collision Repair. I came to this place recommended to me by my local hyundai dealer to order a handle for my drivers side door.yea u remember me now off the strength of that there. I brought them a quote from a different repair shop prepared to pay that price. The handle was not in stock and they had to order it. 1st mistake- not calling me to let me know my part was in. I just so happened to show up because my girl was getting a smog check next door. Then he sees me and says "I called you." No you didn't and if you did you didn't leave a message. Horrible follow up. I give him the keys and he has them put the part on. 2nd mistake-Then we go to sign the paperwork and there's a lesser charge and this is the actual invoice. I sign and that's that right? NOPE. He then argues with me on the previous quote given and won't man up to his mistake. 3rd mistake-it gets heated with argument and this guy trying to hold my keys hostage and I'm like you made the mistake, now you need to honor that price. Someone steps in and arguments we're talking he goes outside arguments Snr takes my car back to the stall to put my old part back on. Shady, slum, business. Then instead of making copies of my paperwork for court I take the file. This guy snatches the paperwork out my hands because he wants no traces of this. I snatched it back and told him I'll see him in court. He knows he made a mistake, he was pleading wit my girl to pay the regular price. As a place of business you have to honor a listed price. You don't have to price match your competition but, you have to honor the price you have documented on paper with your company logo on it. Might not even hold up in court judging how the system is but that's what yelps for right!!!! Sound off and don't come to this place. read more

My car was stolen in Feb 2015. I had to buy a new car within 3 days. I bought a brand new car and after 2 weeks, I was hit on the freeway from behind doing about 70 mph. I took it to the dealership and they sent it here. Not realizing it, I found out that it was my old best friends dads business still after 30 years. You have no idea how much stress was relieved. I knew I was in good hands. They had my car for a little over 3 weeks and when I picked it up it looked brand new again. I brought my truck here after the GMC dealership recommended them for collision repair. Although the repairs took longer than I was hoping(mostly due to my insurance company), I was extremely pleased with how my truck turned out. Not only did they do a courtesy alignment for the delay from a part coming in late, adding a few days to the total repair time, but they also were able to order and install the different grill that I wanted(from a different truck model) and it looks amazing! I've had two times where I needed to use this place the 1st time I had some large damage on a door of a truck and the 2nd time it was small dime size scratch on a bumper. The work the 1st time was done in good time and it looked like new. The 2nd time I was quoted the exact same amount of time/labor/paint etc to the penny as the previous job. So I have some concern that they are quoting a shop standard rate and price for almost anything that comes in because it's the insurance they are expecting to pay not the individual. So I didn't use them the 2nd time. The 3 star rating is for the handling of the 1st job. Work was great and timely, people were mostly polite. read more

I thought my Honda CRV was totalled, but it looked LIKE NEW when I picked it up from Advanced Collision Repair in Escondido! =O One of the owners, David, even stayed overtime the day I brought it in at about 6:30pm. They were great to deal with the whole time. John kept us updated from start to finish.....we always felt well treated and informed. Excellent staff from the top down, from the office to the shop. "Real Pros" would be a good name for them. It took about a month, but it was well worth the wait. They asked if I wanted it detailed for an extra $180, and I thought, "Might as well"... they made it imaculate....inside & out including the engine compartment! My wife was so impressed, we got her Ford Explorer detailed as well. I highly recommend Advanced Collision Repair, and we'll have them detail our cars once a year......like getting a new car. =) read more

I was referred to Advanced by Allstate. After waiting 20 minutes to be acknowledged the guy seemed annoyed waived his hands and said "I am sure we will find more damage". I should have went with my gut feeling and went somewhere else! I authorized them to do extra side work nicks and dings whike waiting for parts. Two weeks later on a Friday they were rushing used touch up paint with a brush crappy looking job on my mirror !! I was so upset that I did not notice my light in the back was cracked !! I had only went to my brothers house in a gated community for a couple of hours for dinner. They stated that it could have happened there but there was no one around! They originally said they would pay half then nothing at all pictures showed it was not broken when I took it in !! Then he had the guts to say you mean we have to redo the mirror for free, If they were happy the way they left it then I guess they do not care about quality. I had better quality work and customer service from a place down the street years ago when my sister got in an accident in my car. They spoke rudely to me. I reported this to Allstate not sure what will be done but they did say they were glad I did because most people do not complain when they are unhappy. I paid them 330 for the extra work plus deductible, plus what Allstate paid. I paid a guy working out of his garage much less last year to take nicks and dings out even more than I had this time. All I can say some people came in referred by Allstate as I had to take an extra five hours while they redid work that should have been done right in the first place. If you go there beware, look at your car good but i would recommend going elsewhere alot of heartache for almost 4000.00 in work.. Over priced !! read more

This was a horrible experience. They never emailed the estimate to us or called like they said they would in the beginning. We worked with Jerri, Hector and the owner who greatly contributed to the terrible experience. They put the wrong mileage and license so the insurance company said the estimate was more than the actual cash value, when in fact my vehicle had a much lower mileage and was a more loaded model. When I was trying to clear things up on the phone I was handed over to the owner who never identified himself. He was so rude he would not allow me to even finish a sentence as to why I was calling yelling at me that I needed to contact the insurance company. I asked if I could talk to the owner thinking he would not want an employee acting in this manner but he stated he was the owner several times as he continued yelling at me and not allowing me to finish a sentence. Finally I said I would let the car dealership know of my bad experience but that didn't even bother him, he just yelled more go ahead... go ahead.... well I did and I decided to write a review to warn others of the bad experience waiting there for them. read more

Our car was side swiped badly as we were getting gas and my husband took the car to Advanced Collision. They worked wonders on the car and communicated with us and the insurance company. They made an unpleasant situation bearable. So then when I was sitting still at a stop sign and got hit again in just about the same spot- the car was back with John at Advanced Collision. My son was involved in an accident which required front end repair on his small truck. Since the airbag had deployed there was damage that was not seen upon initial inspection, however, our original estimate was only HALF of the final bill. The truck was in the shop for almost 3 weeks and when we picked up the truck we could not drive it because the wheel alignment was so off. When we asked them about the alignment, their reply was that "most people drive with their steering wheel cockeyed". What??? Really??? They also returned the truck to us with 3 obvious dents in the hood. They accused by son of causing the dents by slamming the hood down and just "assumed that we didn't want the dents removed to save us money". Again, WHAT??? Isn't this a body shop? Apparently not a good one because they couldn't even match the white paint! It's very obvious that the color is off! And then there was the dirt smudges inside the car....not to mention the rude conversations with absolutely everyone there. We will definitely NOT be back! It's a shame that places like this stay in business. read more
