Anywhere else I've ever gone they take the extra 10 minutes to see if they have samples in stock and if they do then they just do the fitment of the contact lens the same day. I asked one of the ladies at the front desk and they said he would have checked if they had in stock.. but I told them I don't think he wanted to even check... it turns out they did have the samples in stock so they let me take the samples but he needed to look at my eyes again with the contacts before he could give the prescription.. so they said they would ask if he could take a few minutes to do the "fitting" and he said no now I need to go back tomorrow for a 15 minute check so he can look at my eyes.. (when I was there anyway but didn't want to see if they had my prescription in stock) when he originally told me he'd call me back for the fitment when the trials came in in 7 days... he didn't even want to try.. and wants you to come back for 3 appts total before the prescription is issued. Stay away, lesson learned for us.

Meanwhile, I needed a pair of glasses ASAP so I could safely drive until my eyes heal and I have a permanent Rx. My eye-surgeon gave me a temporary prescription. I looked for places with an in-store lab that could make lenses *now* instead of the typical multi-day/week delay, and since these would only be temporary, had low-cost lenses & frames. I discovered Eyeglass World. I went in, explained these glasses would only temporary and asked for the cheapest frames and lenses. I selected a surprisingly nice frame which was also their lowest cost one. Four hours later, they texted me the glasses & lenses were ready. Very happy customer!

I was told it would take 3-4 weeks, but after being given multiple false completion dates (June 6, June 13, June 17), I finally received them on June 18--with no apology for the delay. Assistant Manager Resha told me the glasses failed inspection and were being expedited, but the communication was poor and inconsistent. I paid over $1,800 for my frames and lenses and was only offered $50 compensation for the delay by the manager Tracey, which is completely unfair. Very disappointing experience. I paid in full with no issue, but was left waiting weeks with no accountability.
