My second visit was significantly more distressing. I had previously discussed with my gynecologist that providing a urine sample was a trigger for me due to past trauma. Despite this, I was informed immediately before my procedure that a pregnancy test would be required and that the appointment could not proceed without additional testing. This requirement had not been communicated to me beforehand. After speaking with the office manager and explaining my concerns, she was apologetic and ultimately confirmed that, because I already had an IUD in place, the procedure could move forward. Every week I call, I get the same canned response: "The doctor hasn't reviewed your ultrasound yet." Apparently, an ultrasound ordered because of severe pain and abnormal bleeding can simply sit for weeks while the patient is left to suffer. I was told the office manager would call me. That never happened. Just another empty promise from a practice that seems completely incapable of following through on even the most basic aspects of patient care. Meanwhile, I am living with horrific daily abdominal pain, heavy bleeding, and irregular menstrual cycles. Their solution while they let my ultrasound collect dust? A muscle relaxer. Not an answer. Not a diagnosis. Not an expedited review. Just a muscle relaxer that does absolutely nothing to address the reason I'm in pain. Whether my ultrasound ultimately shows something serious or not is almost beside the point. No patient should spend weeks wondering if they have cancer while repeatedly begging a medical office to review a test that has already been completed. The emotional toll of this experience has been overwhelming. I am not just frustrated--I am scared. Every day that passes without answers is another day spent wondering whether something serious is being missed while this office does absolutely nothing. This isn't simply poor customer service. This is a complete breakdown in communication, accountability, and basic patient care. A medical practice should never leave patients chasing their own results, making repeated phone calls that go nowhere, receiving broken promises from management, and suffering without a plan while everyone shrugs and says, "The doctor hasn't reviewed it." I understand that people have lives, but this information hadn't been communicated to me, and I was 41 weeks pregnant. I felt abandoned. I wanted to speak with a nurse practitioner at least to ensure the baby's safety, but they told me I didn't need to talk to anyone and instructed me to call the hospital in three days to schedule an induction. I experienced a lot of anxiety waiting for the baby and having no backup plan. Three days later, the hospital called me and asked me to come in within 40 minutes because apparently, Dr. Brotsky had scheduled an induction for me, but no one had informed me. We rushed to the hospital. Dr. Brotsky returned for the birth even though I had been told she was gone for a week. After practicing pushing with her a few times, she left me with the nurse. I had an epidural so I was not feeling contractions and the monitor was not working and not reading them. I was pushing but not making progress. When I asked Dr. Brotsky to come back, she responded with, "How can I help you?" when I was so vulnerable and needed guidance and support. Once she arrived, my baby was born in 20 minutes. So she could have helped by simply doing her job!!! I am grateful that both my baby and I are healthy, but I couldn't have the birth I had envisioned because of poor communication and planning. These ladies felt like extended family. If he is needed he is needed. What I have done. I ask the ladies in the office if he is behind please let me know. If it is too long then I reschedule. Most ONGYN offices in my experience are like this. Dr. E is highly recommended and has multiple returning patients. Some drive a long distance. If you don't need to see him you can be seen by one of the PA's. Know your options and ask. One thing that has been going on is an influx of New patients coming in who want to be seen right away! Stop it!! If you have an emergency go to the ER! Just because he sees your cousin, aunt, best friend, doesn't get you a short cut to be seen. If you haven't been seen by Dr E right away because you need a screening learn to understand why, not just complain that you haven't been seen. I can't give Dr E. Enough praise as I am a picky person who went through a horrible first pregnancy. Dealing with Dr's who just want to put you on medication and don't treat you like a person. Even down to the experience he has with the staff from the hospital has given me a piece of mind like no other. The office ladies most of them have been here for a while and the office is busy. I wasn't called up to the front until 2:15pm when they informed me that they needed my member id which was plainly and legibly listed on the paperwork they gave me. The excuse the platinum blond gave me is she's been very busy and doing everything... I requested my insurance card and ID 3x and she was so absent minded that she thought she gave it to me already. I ended up leaving and rescheduling. Fast forward to my appointment now, I show up 20 minutes early.
