When I called Best Price, someone answered immediately and their fee to come out was more reasonable than some of the other places I reached out to. The reason for my rating is that it appears the technician that came to my home could have been more thorough. When he arrived, I explained the situation and he also noted that he smelled the scent that is concerning me. He spent some time reviewing the back of the fridge and he concluded there was nothing noticeably wrong and recommended I unplug it and deep clean it again to help air out the smell. He believes this fridge is nearing its end (I've had it for around six years). I paid and that was that. The problem is that when I emptied out the fridge, specifically the freezer, I saw black dust or streaks (not noticed the last I deep cleaned). A quick Google search and a family friend who is a handyman shared that it may be an electrical issue. All this to say, I paid for a diagnostic service that didn't provide a clear answer (especially since it's not normal to fridges to smell like something is burning) because it appears the technician could have been more thorough to explain any additional options or review components inside the fridge.
