I had Belle Air come to service my Heat pump and they did a thorough inspection which found that my heat pump unit had NOT been mounted properly by the original HVAC Co and the ductless pipes were installed without much thought which created a terrible mess in my attic. Belle Air came back out a few days later to remedy the situation. They were professional. On time. VERY mindful of cleaning up after the job. The price was well below what I had been expecting. He spent at least two hours surveying myhome and offering a fair and competitive bid. With no pressure. He is honest and fair and very respectful. Recently, I replaced a 75 year old floor heater that had not worked properly for years. I waited much too long to replace it because I couldn't seem to find a company that I felt was trustworthy and professional to do the job. That is until a friend recommended Belle Air. I can't tell you how happy and grateful I am to have found them. My initial contact was with Nick Knuth, who did a careful review of my home and my needs. He explained the options and the process of installing mini splits. He is incredibly knowledgeable and patient. He was able to help me understand the intricacies of the installation process in my older home (which would also require some additional electrical work). Nick remained my point person throughout the entire process. He was always available and always very helpful. Throughout the process I also had numerous conversations with the front office staff, Deisy and Emma. Both are extremely organized, knowledgeable, kind and returned my phone calls immediately. There's just no end to the positive things I can say about Belle Air Services. They are the type of company you imagine existed in "the good old days" that somehow time-traveled to the present. It began with Scott, who came out within 24 hours to give a quote for replacing our central HVAC system. I've never experienced a more thorough, and informative contractor for a service. He got up into our roof, and crawled around under our house to figure out exactly how our old system worked. He explained CFM air flow requirements and discussed the difference between brands of units. He also detailed the requirements for all the DWP rebates available for each of three system-options he wrote up for us. He even called me again later in the day because he had been thinking about joist-spacing in our floors, and how it might affect the options. He comprehensively answered all of my follow-up questions even if it meant getting back to me at night. Then came the the rest of the team. A day after signing the contract, the delightful Daisy called me to talk me through the calendar of events that were forthcoming, and we set a date to start the job. At this point, I should mention that this company really knows how to utilize technology for the customer's benefit. They send texts and email to remind customers about upcoming visits as well as send photos of the technician who will arrive. They give one-hour time windows and stick to them. And, if for some reason, the crew is running late, they will call to let you know and apologize. They are prepared. Rather than just show up on the installation day, and figure the details out as they went, they sent Robert out about 10 days before work started to map out all the areas for construction, taking pictures and measuring distances of the locations for new vents and ducting. He, as well as the rest of the team, were very considerate about out house. They all offered to wear shoe covers and they were all masked. When the work actually began there were no surprises. Anthony and his crew immediately began by covering our floors and furniture to protect them. Then they went to work like lightning. This was no small job. Besides replacing the outdoor compressor unit, they also removed our old blower system from our garage and installed a new one in our unfinished, crawl-space ceiling - which also required adding a new access panel and flooring. They cut all new vents in every room and as well as a new air intake vent in the ceiling, and added a NEST thermostat. The most amazing part to me was that they did all this in less than two full days! And finally, after Robert checked all the crew's work, he talked us through the rest of the process for inspections and receipt of our DWP rebates. It was a truly seamless, transparent process. During every phase of the job Belle Air Services went the extra mile to put me at ease with their abilities and concern for my satisfaction. Super professional company from start to finish. They didn't ask me to write this review, but I volunteered because I really appreciated how easy they made the whole process of replacing my HVAC system with an energy-efficient unit. I bid out with 3 licensed and bonded HVAC companies, and I'm very glad that I chose Belle Air. They helped me get a $3,000 LADWP rebate, and they were actually the most cost effective option out of the 3 quotes. But more importantly, they were very professional at every turn: 1. Before I made the purchase: they took time to inspect the house for its airflow, venting, insulation, etc. to determine what type of CFM was needed and what HVAC units would be appropriate. They didn't upsell, but rather listened to my concerns about my roof and house's age - accounting for the unit's weight, roof access, the internal venting in my house, etc. before clearly explaining to me the options for different units. They thought clearly through these and answered all of my questions patiently and consistently. The bid was detailed and they went through it on the phone with me to make sure the details were correct. Follow-up was courteous and not pushy. Other companies rushed to conclusions and did not have clear answers to my questions. 2. During the install process: putting extra tarps around the ladder to not damage my precious stone flooring, wearing shoe-booties around the house, letting me know what they needed to do doing during the install, etc. The crew was very nice. Note: LADWP had good things to say about Belle Air Services, as did several inspectors (who commented about the good quality install). 3. Communicating well at every point: Liz and others were very pleasant and easy to get a hold of at any time; and I appreciated the text message updates, live tracking of where the team's truck was on appointment days (even with a picture of which technician would arrive, for safety and convenience), email reminders of appointments, etc. The experience felt well-coordinated. 4. After the install: they stayed to make sure it worked to my satisfaction (checking all the vents, airflow readings, etc.) and followed through with coordinating all the inspections and appointments for the LADWP rebate. Note: as I learned from the LADWP directly, only the participant member providers such as Belle Air would be eligible to help me get the $3,000 rebate. I can not say enough good things about Belle Air Services. When we bought our home 5 years ago it did not have any AC. Over the past 5 years I have had a half dozen or more HVAC companies/contractors come to my home. None of them were able to address the issues or concerns with putting central air into this house. Almost all of them tried to push outdated single stage systems on us. We were told that variable speed units use more current, breakdown and would not work for our home. Fortunately, none of those statements were true. I contacted 10 companies through yelp, five came out and gave me estimates, Belle Air Services was one of them. They were not the cheapest (neither were they the most expensive!) but Zach really listened to what I was interested in, gave me informative answers and great suggestions. I got three estimates from them for 3 different styles of system in different price ranges, all very well explained as far as the pros and cons. Once I had made my decision, Robert came out to do the walk through, take notes and photographs and make sure he had a clear picture of what the crew was doing. At all stages I got text messages and emails with pictures showing who would be showing up (a security precaution I really appreciated!). The crew came to install and did it very efficiently with a minimum of mess (the house was swathed in plastic) and the small amount of dust created was tidied up at the end of the day as if they had never been... the crew was careful to ask before making any changes to the plan (which they had access to via an ipad with all the information). No plan survives contact with the ancient house, and there were a few uncooperative beams which made moving vents a little left or right a better choice, all of which was double checked with me first, which I greatly appreciated. So now I have a beautiful new HVAC system in my 100 year old house, and the ugly wall heater that was my only source of heat has been removed AND will I be getting $1000 back in a clean air rebate that Belle Air Services is taking care of for me. I contacted Belle Air Services in mid-August when we noticed our AC was not functioning properly. It was such a relief to have someone pick up the phone when I called (I'm too old to play phone tag with contractors). Liz set up a service call for about 1 week later. From that time on, the communication and professionalism were impeccable. Aaron arrived on time. He diagnosed a leak in the coil, which required 2 lbs of refrigerant. We decided to replace the whole system with a heat pump rather than repair the leak, primarily because the HVAC system we had never performed well: when some rooms were comfortable, other were not. We met with Nick that afternoon (again on time), selected our new Daikin Fit system, and made other changes that would improve the air flow and make us happier. One week later, we met with Robert (on time again), the project manager, who confirmed the design, including duct sizes, vent sizes, the site of an additional air return, etc. The installation took 2 days. The crew, helmed by Anthony, worked diligently, even though it was during the heat wave. Anthony answered a few questions we had and they kept the house tidy as they completed their work. The HERS test was scheduled one week after the job was complete, with the inspection the next day: both passed. The new system is so quiet and works so well. Our home is at a uniformly comfortable temperature throughout. We are so happy with our choice. First off, they answer your calls with a live person, which already puts them in a class of their own. Second, they schedule you for an appointment and stick to their time estimate. Third free estimates. Any other place I called wanted at least $60 just to come take a look. I've dealt with those people before, they come, they look, they say "we can't fix it" and want their money... Most importantly, these guys are honest, hardworking AC repair guys. Robert, the tech who came out to my home spend the time to get dirty, take apart my mini-split system and test it in different ways to accurately diagnose the problem. He spent about 45 minutes testing, trying different things, and finally figured out the problem. In my case rather than upcharge and upsell, he told me to hold off, wait and see and the problem might resolve on its own and so far it has. I have never seen any other A/C repair guy in Los Angeles do such a thing. Belle Air Services cares about their reputation and their honesty, quality of work and responsiveness just made me their number 1 customer for life. I would avoid this company. We bought a mini split for them, it started leaking and the tech literally didn't know what he was doing. The unit was working fine except for the leak and by the time he 'serviced' the unit it didn't work at all. Then, here we are two months later, the unit is leaking worse than ever and they tell us #1 they will charge us, #2 they can't come out for two weeks. No thank you. read more

So grateful for the service and installation provided. We do not have the easiest house to install, literally anything. And we did get estimates from many HVAC companies. Belle Air honestly provided the best service. These guys are polite and incredibly professional. We had tons of questions, lots of set backs before the installation plus time constraints. We changed our initial scheduling, twice, and even changed our entire estimate to an upgrade on the fly. Within three dedicated days, my family is chilling, (no pun, haha) with central air! First time ever! I feel like a Queen, despite so many home improvements and the process of cleaning out and remodeling my dads hoarded home (soon to be ours when escrow closes) the central air was key to helping us all move forward and finish this ginormous project.
