The treatments actually work but the most important part of the treatment is the constant feedback. You are in constant communication about the results you are seeing from treatments and Dr Velkoff adjusts accordingly. I don't know if I have ever met a doctor who is more invested in a treatment outcome than Dr Velkoff. My son was struggling with severe fears and anxiety and wasn't seeing the improvements we expected at first. Dr Velkoff was so invested in his success, he paused my son's treatment and referred us to another doctor who ended up discovering my son had PANS. Once we got that under control we resumed treatment and within a week we were seeing amazing results. Dr Velkoff even threw in a few free sessions to catch up on lost time. How often do you get that level of care and attention? My son is now living a normal life. His world was getting so small and it broke our hearts but he is now thriving and functioning independently. In second grade, he was struggling to finish his work on time, stay focused in class, maintain friendships and would cry easily. We started out with 3 sessions a week at first and then tapered down to 2. In total, he did about 50 sessions, most of them done over summer break. We were concerned that since it was summer break, his brain wasn't being stretched enough. But it seemed to have a positive effect! Third grade has been a world of difference. My son has been able to keep up with his work, writes down his assignments, has not cried in school, and is overall a happier kid and has been able to build friendships. He also enjoyed going to Drake as he thought the video games were fun (but he did get bored of them later on). In addition to the Drake sessions, we were also doing play therapy. Is his improvement due to Drake? His maturing by a year? Play therapy? Probably a combination of all three. But I do think that Drake played a big role. He also recommend some supplements which I took during this time. **important to note** He never pressured me into buying anything from him, all supplements could be found online and in other stores. I did my research and found his to be priced reasonable & comparable to everything else that was out there. Slowly, through weekly check ins, I started feeling better. We then went to monthly appointments only and now just call when needed. It's been a year and a half now and I continue to work with Dr. Gin through NET. He's a gifted practitioner, and while this may feel silly at first, it's worked wonders for my life and even my mental health. My husband lost his desire to drink alcohol. He also lost 10 lbs. And he exercises 6 days a week at the gym. His sciatic pain is gone, and he's healthier than ever before. For me, I use to have neck and back pain, took several prescription medications for mood, and had anger issues. Now, my pain is gone, I stopped all my medications and my anger is under control. The effectiveness of the treatment takes some time to kick in, but the change is nothing short of amazing. The negative review may be understandable when you meet senior Dr Tong. He's a very enthusiastic sales person with strong opinions. There may have been a misunderstanding or a miscommunication between that patient and Dr. Tong. Dr Tong's treatment of injecting a diluted mix of saline and Marcaine into meridians takes many weeks/months to be effective. Going twice won't work, imo. And, you have to take responsibility for your own health. Doing the same old thing won't work. Exercise, stretching, eating right, and going to the Tongs works. (So sweet of him) As I first walked into the room, the smell was amazing and energy was calming! I loved that. An abhyanga is a full body massage where they use warm scented oil that your skin absorbs. I truly felt like I was able to release all tension and allow myself to receive and enjoy! I was so relaxed that I was able to fall asleep. At the end of my massage I felt rejuvenated! I didn't realize how much I needed this massage until I experienced it once again. The female massage practitioner (i'm unsure how to spell out her name) I wish I did because she IS AMAZING! She made me feel welcome and comfortable throughout the whole experience. She had the perfect touch as far as how much pressure to apply. A few months ago, my friend gifted me a 90 minute Abhyanga Massage ($145 value) and it took me nearly 4 months to finally make my way here. I called to make my reservation with Tina. She was very professional and informative. I provided the gift certificate # and Tina was able to help me apply the gift certificate seamlessly. Since it was my first time experiencing this type of service/massage, Tina also gave me a friendly reminder that this service uses a lot of healing oils for the massage, so it is recommended that I wore clothes that I wouldn't mind oil residue on. Also I was emailed a reservation confirmation with the need to know information for the service. For anyone not familiar with an Abhyanga Massage, this is a full body massage with a generous amount of warm herbal oils that are abundant in antioxidants and adaptogens. This is meant to promote relaxation and rejuvenation. On the day of my service I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out my first time customer forms. Tina was there that day and she offered me water or hot tea. She asked if I needed to use the restroom before my service. Just FYI - the restrooms are disconnected from their suite. For my Abhyanga Massage, I was with Tanaz. She welcomed me back to the room and we had a quick chat about what pressure I would like, if there were any areas I would like extra work on, if there were any areas to avoid, disclosure about the use of oils, and all the usual. I really appreciated her guidance through the whole experience, and most importantly the massage was spectacular. We started off face up and we ended face down. I noticed some use of essential oils on the face to start to set the mood. They use SO MUCH oil here, in a good way. It really helps with the massage strokes and even when the warm oil gets poured onto each body part, it felt extremely relaxing. Tanaz is amazing!! What a treat to experience the Abhyanga Massage! I hear they recently added a 4 hands massage, where you have 2 massage therapists working on you simultaneously! I have never done that before and I would highly consider coming back.
