Rest it will get better, well it got worse went back, need mri, my insurance said no and never heard back from doctors office. So one of the other surgeons that is a god there, called my insurance and said she needs mri asap. Got approved and I asked for different doctor since the office never called me back to say what the next steps were to get approval for mri.Got mri saw new surgeon at Eastside office, said tear in meniscus. Easy peasy. June 2024 had surgery, in recovery surgeon comes out, while I'm still doped up explains what had gone on and what he found, I have no clue what he had said, don't even remember leaving building. Well the knee still hurt bad went for several follow ups was told it takes a while. Got another mri. Another small tear and lots of arthritis, no one told me if u get surgery arthritis starts building up. I am in more pain then before surgery, gained 20 pounds, unable to do daily functions and activities. If I would have known this I would not have got surgery. Asked to speak to doctor about what can be done several times, they said oh he's booked up,see his PA. Well guess what his PA was to busy so they hired another PA to help out, this is in November, he tells me I need to think about going to a gym and see a psychologist, lol. I normally got 16000 steps in according to my fitbit, im very active and not overweight, really? January 2025 still not a word from surgeon, since June. Went to another orthopedic establishment and guess what I now need a partial knee replacement!!! I'm literally in tears! I can't believe thos surgeon doesn't have the common courtesy to explain what he did and why my surgery was not easy peasy!!! Fyi get a second opinion before having surgery and trusting the surgeon! At 50 years old I shouldn't be walking like I'm 80!!!

Then, after the basic follow-ups, say two years later, he will abandon you, giving you tales of his suffering in pain, of his wearing compression hose, of taking diclophenac tablets, then going on a rant about age and God, while totally disregarding your issues. Avoid him, as there are other orthopedic surgeons who are far more honest, compassionate, and competent.

I have been a patient at Providence St. Peter Outpatient Orthopedic and Hand Therapy since Aug…read more2023. I was referred by my primary care doctor for relief from shoulder pain. After two months of treatment, my therapist suggested I see an orthopedist, which I did. As a result, I was given X-rays and an MRI which revealed I had a torn rotator cuff, SLAP tear, bone spurs and severe arthritis. I tried non-surgical treatment by continuing PT and an injection, but the pain persisted, so it was recommended that my shoulder be surgically repaired. I also had a frozen shoulder and my surgeon cautioned me that he would not be able to operate if the shoulder was still frozen. My therapist worked with me for two more months in an attempt to "thaw" my frozen shoulder. I went in for surgery in Jan 2024, and the surgeon was able to manipulate my shoulder and complete the surgery. The damage to my shoulder was worse than anticipated, but the surgeon was able to complete repairs. Two weeks post-surgery, I went back to PT to rehabilitate my shoulder. I am still in PT and likely will for a few more months, as I regain my mobility & strength. I have worked with several of the Physical Therapists and a PT Assistant, including Christy, Jordan, Nancy, Mark, and Jessica. The care I've received has been excellent - it is painful, but I am getting better! Shoulder surgery is a long, difficult recovery and I was told to expect it to take 6-9 months to be mostly pain-free, and a full year to restore my strength, which was complicated by a detached biceps tendon that also requires repair. Slowly but surely I'm making progress. I definitely recommend Providence St. Peter Outpatient Pediatric Therapies if you need to rehab a shoulder, knee, hand, etc.

Don't go here unless you want to go broke!!!…read more The type of care is excellent - that's not the issue. It's the cost. This location bills as hospital outpatient (hence the name) and they don't tell you that! Physical therapy is billed as a hospital visit. That means instead of getting a $25 copay you get $1000+ bill! I had a single visit billed for $1200 when my insurance says I only owe $25. What they're doing is legal but highly immoral. If you want to go to providence, go to the tumwater facility. Same organization but I hear they bill correctly.

I want to express my deep appreciation for the high quality of medical care that Kaiser Permanente offers, and then expertly delivers. I have a ridiculous number of health problems. Virtually every system is a mess, which means that I also have raging depression and anxiety, as a bonus. But Kaiser Permanente takes excellent care of me. I see a group of doctors, and each specialist is well-versed on the various conditions I have. Due to the efficiency of having my constantly-updated medical charts and prescription lists easily accessible to every specialty, each doctor participates in coordinated care, geared to my needs. Each takes into consideration what the other doctors are doing, before recommending changes that could have an adverse ripple effect. At KP, I am treated as a whole person, not just as the sum of my broken-down parts. I'm so very grateful to be treated there with respect and kindness. Just walking from one area to another, you see smiles and hear words of encouragement throughout the building! If you'd like to have skillful and respectful care, I can't recommend Kaiser Permanente high enough. It's easier to trust doctors who listen intently and then will explain options, rather than those who always seem to be in a rush. MY experience with KP has been that I'm made a part of the discussion before treatment decisions are made. Kaiser P doctors understand that patients should be informed enough to be able to weigh in on their options. I'm confident that my care has been guided by intelligence, diligence, and a genuine desire to help me. The doctors and therapists of Kaiser Permanente have repeatedly gone the extra mile in the pursuit of the best possible solutions. Getting coordinated care is everything to me, since I'm considered "medically fascinating." At KP, I feel seen and heard, which has not always been the case in the past. I love the clear, concise, easy-to-use patient portal. I can check on my lab tests, get added medical information, change appointments, or send and receive messages quickly and easily. I use the portal to contact Kaiser's mail-order pharmacy, requesting refills when it's convenient to me. It allows me to research any prescription, or to pose a question for either a pharmacy tech or a friendly pharmacist. Everything is delivered right to my door, without shipping costs and I can pay my portion online, too. In addition, Kaiser's patient portal allows me access to medical care, 24 hours a day, just by using my phone. I can choose to talk to a nurse, or an on-call doctor, immediately. For less urgent matters, I can schedule a virtual visit appointment, or choose to see a doctor at one of the convenient locations. The portal is secure and gives me far more privacy than going into a doctor's office, and trying to give personal info to a receptionist (without the fear of informing everyone in the waiting room, as well.) I hope I never have to change my health insurance again, because Kaiser Permanente has been an answer to my prayers. They're the BEST, because the doctors, nurses, assistants, techs and office staff etc. are warm and eager to help. So I am very grateful for the first-rate, personalized care I've been given, since switching insurance providers nearly 3 years ago. Thank you, Kaiser Permanente!

But IDK what happened: sometime after the pandemic, say 2023, things changed drastically. I started getting shuttled around with different physicians. At one point I ended up with the flu. During my visit for treatment, they took blood and the sample came back contaminated (possible sepsis). I reflected on the procedure and realized the tech didn't sterilize the site before they drew. So I'm sent off to the hospital down the street, and after an overnight I get cleared and released. Visits to other specialists, when you could get them, just didn't feel like before, so you have to think that the medical crisis hit them pretty hard. But still. Overall, disappointing, but I'm with another plan now.
