We had Advanced Painting Contractors paint the exterior of our house for the 3rd time in 33 years. Their slogan "The Prep Goes In - Before The Paint Goes On" is absolutely true. Jorge who created the quote was very helpful in suggesting finishes for stucco, trim and metal garage door. Arnesto and crew did a wonderful job replacing the dry-rot wood trim and repairing the chipped and water damaged stucco. This is not a review of the workers themselves but the company that oversees them. My neighbor had work done over 3 days. The workers constantly showed up before the permitted working time, parked in every extra space we have and filled our trash can to the point where we cannot fit anything else in. When a company does work in a building with several units, they should stress the importance of respect for the other tenants in the building. After I wrote this I will add that the head guy was nice enough to come take stuff out of our trash can when I asked him to. Still it's not easy to be the "bad guy" especially when you've been woken up 3 days in a row! read more

Love them. The prep was extensive, noisy and dusty, but is totally necessary. They cover your windows to prevent dust entering and unfortunately sanding just is noisy. They replaced all the old split wood on the fascia and door jams where needed, and fixed the numerous chipping stucco problems due to years of water damage. The actual painting took maybe a day. The painter and all the workmen were excellent. Definitely experienced, and the result was stellar. And their clean up was great. I'm very pleased with my newly painted home! read more

When we met with Jorge, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and I had great hope that this was the company for us to do our exterior painting. Then they were 4 days late in getting us their quote (which was somewhat ok as people are busy), but then Jorge said he would come back to the house to take a second look, and never showed up. Like the old joke: Why do Texas Rangers carry .45s? Because no one makes a .46 That's why I only give APCC five stars...because Yelp doesn't have six star reviews. I started with a branch of the company, Rick's Rain Gutters. Jorge came over to give me an estimate to replace a malfunctioning gutter. While he was here I asked him if the company did carpentry and painting to repair and replace some fascia boards which had some dry rot. He carefully checked the areas needing repair, and the next day e-mailed me a thorough and very reasonable estimate. He's been with the company for over twenty years; I liked him right away, and gave APCC the job. Rick's Rain Gutters replaced the gutter. They showed up on time, did an excellent job. Then APCC came and replaced the rotted areas of fascia board (new boards, prepped and painted etc.). They left the area with nary a mote of saw dust or drop of paint. I then asked Jorge if the company did removal of "popcorn/cottage cheese" on ceilings. Yes, they do. Again, a reasonable, detailed estimate. A few days later the crew came over, did a thorough prep, careful protecting of surfaces, nearby rooms taped off with plastic sheeting etc. A perfect job, a great cleanup. The crews are very nice, skilled, hardworking guys; the office staff (Vivian, Gladys, and Maggie) are courteous, efficient, good at their jobs, and very helpful. In a time when there are so many scammers and sloppy jobs being done, it's truly a pleasure to deal with APPC and Rick's Rain Gutters. I see a lot of other reviewers agree with me! John H read more
