They broke out the old concrete, added soil, gravel, compacted it and reinforced with rebar, that was tied into my existing concrete, Its level, stable and not going anywhere. Please be really really careful with this company. Yes you might see good reviews that are outstanding compared to other ms. But don't let these reviews deceive you. Because I'm one victim from the reviews. I contacted Roberto for a concrete project back in fall 2025. He and his wife were both really responsive and on time for onsite estimate, scheduling and show up for the work. His explanation sounded professional but maybe because I had no experience in this area. After completing the work everything looked good "on surface ". Yes freshly finished concrete job always looks great. However within a few months issues kept coming up. There were cracks appearing and they became bigger pretty quickly. In addition the slope was done incorrectly that led water flowing towards the house wall and puddling around the house which was a big concern to the foundation. This project failed totally and I contacted Roberto to see how to fix. They showed up to remove the damaged slab. And the cause all appeared to be true as assumed. There was no base built underneath the slab which should a really critical step. The ground was not compacted at all. There was no gravel used. These are all the reason why the concrete failed because they didn't follow the standard at all. Be really careful about their job because they cheated as they assume you don't know. I asked them to redo this with quality and Anna was being really rude to me yelling on the phone. I just hope that they could remedy for the failed project which they admitted what was done wrong. We had an area on the side of our house that was unusable. Brisenos came in and in two days they had the area cleaned out and cemented. They did a great job and their prices were reasonable. Tbh they weren't my first choice. I originally was looking for a landscape company but yelp sent my request to a bunch of other businesses as well and Roberto was one of them. Glad it worked out this way! Roberto responded probably less than 5 minutes which was incredible. We set up an appointment to do an estimate a few days later. We had another guy that same morning for a quote as well but he wasn't super friendly, a little unapproachable. Roberto was completely the opposite. He showed up and already had something in mind for what would look best for our project. We had another 2 quotes a few days later but none of them could beat his price! My company needed a trencher. I was tasked with looking for a trencher in the Sacramento area, on Yelp. Had tons of people reply. Sent pictures to get an idea of a quote to several companies. Briseno's stuck out for a reason. I looked up their website, and reviews. Everything looked good. I actually got a cheaper price, they matched it. They were very responsive and quick to answer my questions. The trenching was 20" down and 10' long by 6". They showed up on time, dug the trench. There were some irrigation pipes that crossed and they were very careful. The work was clean. We had some electrical PV go into the trench and had the city come by and approve. They came actually a day early because rain was coming. Filled it in and it looks amazing. You cant even tell that there was a hole there. I recommend using Briseno Custom Concrete!!!! I searched for a new concrete provider after being a little disappointed with a concrete company I used recently. Communication is very important to me and I make my decisions based on quality of service, product and communication.
