i struggled a lot with period cramps my whole life and Dr. Mal introduced me to a technique I didn't know was possible. Since going to see her I am no longer in pain once a month and I am very thankful. I have been seeing Dr Malerie for my PMS and sinus and they have improve so much with her adjustments! I was shocked to experience no pain during my menstrual! Wow what a great place. I was always iffy when it came to chiropractors but I'd have to say this place has made a believer out of me. I do CrossFit and barbell and bang up my body pretty badly. At one point in time I tweaked my back at work moving/adjusting patients while also being sore from workouts. I went to see Jaimie and she got me moving more freely within one visit and almost to 100% after two visits. So now I make it a monthly thing to get adjusted for its benefits. I've gotten multiple adjustments from both Tori and Jaimie and I would highly recommend both. Both Jaimie and Tori have slightly different styles but equally effective. Facility is clean and the gals that work the front desk are friendly and welcoming. Parking is ample in the parking lot provided by the plaza. Come in and give them a try. I have been in need of an adjustment for quite some time. Serving in the military in addition to doing CrossFit six times a week, will put a strain on your body. I have come across Advanced Wellness Center through my colleagues at Tribe Functional Fitness (see earlier reviews). Advanced Wellness Center provides optimal health services that specialize in chiropractic medicine and acupuncture. Today, I went to visit Tori (DC) for our scheduled 3pm appointment. The front desk staff greeted me with the best customer service and were transparent of all the documentation provided. Upon completing the initial enrollment process, I met with Tori and she ran an initial assessment and history background. I informed her of my lower back pain and slight Achilles tendinitis. One thing I enjoyed about this section was Tori's use of analogies to comprehend the type of pain/stress that the patient (me) would be feeling. After completing that, we went straight into deep tissue work. Tori used various hand-pressure techniques to alleviate tension that I was having in my lower back and Achilles. In order to ensure safety and wellness, Tori checked in frequently to make sure I was doing alright! Lastly, she ran the typical adjustment as seen on many TikTok pages and Facebook posts. The "cracking" of the bones is probably one of the most exciting yet terrifying parts of this experience. Nonetheless, Tori has a way assure patients and put their worries at bay. Overall, I loved my experience at Advanced Wellness Center! The customer service in addition to the vast knowledge they possess made the experience all but memorable! I enjoyed the lovely conversations with Tori and hope to make future visits when I'm experiencing any sort of pain or discomfort in my joints or back. Advanced Wellness has been my go-to wellness center for over 10 years. I see Dr. Novas for chiropractic treatments, and she takes great care of me. She spends the extra time to make sure I am in great shape when I leave there. Just recently I started doing Sculpt Light, a laser weight loss program. It has been going really well. Unfortunately, I gave my mom Dr. Shur's old phone number so she spoke with someone at AWC instead of her new office. I am disappointed the AWC staff told her they weren't sure where Dr. Shur went and if she was even still practicing. So I have been visiting Dr Day for about 8 months now and the improvent in my back, neck and body is amazing! This is one star for the unprofessionalism of the front office. Amy is incompetent and unapologetic. I had a simple request to help find if my insurance would cover any of the modalities in their practice. I understand one business day but when someone isn't feeling well, it's kind to see if they can get someone in as soon as possible. No one ever called me back and I called on day 2 (Amy was out and the other receptionist didn't offer to help) and day 3 where Amy was "still waiting". The second complaint is when Amy adamantly says there are no NDs in the office until Friday. (Dr. Nicole Lean) I think a review of what the owner's specialty is would serve Amy well to help patients understand that there are other choices in doctors. I am not a demanding patient. I did not ask for something difficult and I was never rude to this office. Update: I found another medical office that was able to check my insurance and call me back within an hour. I got a call back from Advanced Wellness a week and a half later. I would have liked to try their practice but the front office staff really was terrible. read more

I heard that Dr. Mark deDubovay was specializing in arthritic knees and those heading straight for Knee replacement, which was me so I decided to go see him. After hearing him speak at a wellness lecture, I called for an appointment. I was skeptical but hopeful. Well I almost can't believe it but his treatments are making a significant difference and for the first time in 2+ years of seeing numerous doctors, I am feeling less pain and more strength. Unbelievable service! I see Rebecca the nutritionist, she is simply AMAZING! she helped me lose some weight but more importantly helped with sound nutrition advice. I highly recommend her. The office is really well put together, very clean. staff is so helpful. The advice she has given me has made a huge difference in my life. My yucky HMO doesnt cover visits there; I pay cash but it's so worth it! I havent taken advantage of the other services such as chiro or acupuncture. I highly recommend them!! Over the years I'd heard good things about the Advanced Wellness Center and finally decided to check it out once I met Dr. Day. I'd put up with a bad hip for too long and trusted that Dr. Day would have a solid approach at addressing the underlying issues/imbalances going on with my body. After 2 visits I was off on a backpacking trip and was interested to find out what my pain & discomfort levels would be. Typically I'd have hip/glute pain, not sleep well because of the discomfort, and have a hard time walking with a heavy pack once the pain would begin to travel down my leg and affect the ankle too... but NOTHING, none of that! The trip was a success and I came home feeling strong and excited to be pain free. Dr. Day is an exceptional chiropractor because - He communicates well! He explains things well, emails, and is very thorough in his approach. -I've referred my husband and friends and they've all been pleased- that means a lot to me. -He cares! I am a huge fan of this practice, in particular of Dr. Fuhrman. I have chronic back/neck issues and experience flare-ups about once a year, usually during very stressful work/life periods. At one point last year, it got really bad and that's what brought me to Dr. Fuhrman. Because of my back issues, I've been to several chiropractors for relief and have found that most of the drs I've visited aren't necessarily interested in making you feel better and instead are interested in your wallet. But Dr. Fuhrman has been just terrific. After my visit, he emailed me to see how I was doing and seemed genuinely interested and empathetic to my situation. Most recently, he taught me different stretches to avoid repeat flare-ups in the future. The level of care here has been exceptional and personalized and I am so thankful to have found them. read more

I truly have nothing but thanks and kudos for this place, particularly Dr. Andrea Clow (acupuncture) and Dr. Paul Fuhrman (chiropractic). I started coming here about 3 or 4 months ago on a recommendation, after getting into a car accident. I did not have damage to my bones, but I have soft tissue damage to my back, which was causing constant, daily pain and making sleeping nearly impossible. Originally I was seeing only Dr.Clow, and she's just awesome! I can truly say I've never been so relaxed and felt that a doctor truly cared about my well-being before I started seeing her. She even catered to my particular preferences and made it work. She is very understanding, and makes sure she is not only treating your one particular ailment, but that she's helping to treat your entire body and health to contribute to the effective treatment of those ailments. Although my back was my main source of pain and discomfort, she was able to help me with everything from sinus problems to digestive issues to headaches, and to my back. She gave me great tips and I always felt much, much better after seeing her. And I slept like a baby after seeing her :) She recommended Dr.Fuhrman to me, and I am so glad that I took her up on the recommendation! (I was a little hesitant about chiropractic work). He has also been more helpeful to me than my own PCP has ever been. He explained how many of the muscles in our bodies are connected, and how each of them contribute to the overall wellness of the body. He showed me many stretches and exercises that I will be able to use for a lifetime; and nothing that requires money or exertion. I've seen both chiropractor Dr. Fuhrman and naturopath Dr. Rebmann at Advanced Wellness Center. The chiropractic care I've received has been so effective. Dr. Fuhrman has large capable gentle healing hands. I always leave adjusted and maintain that adjustment for weeks until I do something excessive to my frame. Then I head back in to advanced wellness center where I am so well taken care of. Until working with Dr. Rebmann, I had never seen a naturopath. I didn't know that some of my stomach issues and digestion problems were even causes, let alone treatable. She has helped me with weight loss, health maintenance and stress reduction treatments. I came here with the recommendation of a friend and honestly was not very hopeful that anything could be done. My back alignment had been out of whack for years and wearing a moon boot and cast for 3 months only made my pain worse. I saw Dr. Fuhrman and he changed everything. On a basic consultation, referred by Doctor Monica Scott upon meeting her in my neighborhood, I can actually say I felt comfortable with her appointment. Once arriving, i was greeted with professionalism. Filled out necessary paperwork before meeting Dr Scott again. Once inside her place of well being, we went over some background, assessments and possible solutions. She is easy to talk to and has a well read sense of her craft. Comfortability is key and she made me feel just that. Her ability to explain her techniques as she works makes it easier to relax, plus adding a sense of humor between adjustments helps make the conversations better. She answered all of my questions thereafter, in ways that made sense. This secured me a second visit, who knows, living better requires work. Not only did I feel better right away but here's what really set him apart from other chiropractors I've used - he spent time explaining to me what caused the issue - in detail - he gave me specific exercises to help minimize reoccurrence - he EMAILED me afterwards instructions to reinforce the verbal instructions Wow! Dr. Novas is great. Very down to earth and friendly. I've been going to her about every month or so for the last five years. She readily works around my no-cracking-the-neck requirement, using a variety of other techniques to obtain the same effect. Unlike other chiropractors I've met, she's never pushed herbs or supplements. (The last two chiropractors I'd gone to all told me on my very first visit I had this-or-that imbalance, which would be resolved with this-or-that bottle of supplement.) I'm not against supplements per se. But I follow a highly regimented, organic-focused diet, and found it curious that on the very first visit a chiropractor could diagnose such an imbalance. Speaking of supplements, last year, Dr. Novas did suggest I consider probiotics. We were amazingly on the same page, as I'd spent the previous two weeks researching probiotics. As her recommendation stemmed from six-month+ observation of a right-side weakness possibly due to ICV, I felt her recommendation to be well considered; very different than the sales suggestions I'd received from previous chiropractors. It's hard to sum up five years of superior care, but let me try: The front office staff is friendly and efficient. (There have been staffing changes during the last year or so, but the service remains good.) Appointments are well managed. I think I've only had to wait more than 5 minutes 2 or 3 times in the last five years. And considering that Dr. Novas has sometimes gone over time with me on occasion, I can't complain when she spends extra time with someone else in need. And Dr. Novas' treatments suit me perfectly.
