Dr. Han himself is an average dentist, friendly to kids and gets the job done, nothing extra. His staff though need to learn to be more patient and kind when it comes to children and families. Our son got X-rays here and the hygienist doing his X-rays kept shouting for him to "hold still" and "do not move!" That is going to go well with a child, being shouted at by a stranger when they've got 10lbs of weight on their chest. We also used to all four go back for both kids' appointments- both kids and my husband and I. This worked out because as they're so young, one of us would sit with one in the dental chair and the other would watch the other child. During Covid, they still allowed this. I would call and ask multiple times before appointments and was always told we would be able to otherwise I would have changed their appointments. After one appointment where after we waited for half an hour and they clearly saw all four of us in the waiting area, they told me they only allowed one adult back with our two toddlers. We asked two days prior during our appointment reminder if this would be okay and I was assured it would be. I had also called a month before our appointment as well. Also told not to worry. Not to mention our three visits before this where we were allowed to. This also could have been mentioned when I checked in half an hour ago when they saw all four of us standing there. They wouldn't even allow us to each take one kid back and go at separate times because we had the same appointment time, but they were using the same hygienist?! If they had two different hygienist working on each of them at once, it would have made sense but this wasn't the case. I ended up waiting in the car as my husband bravely took both toddlers back and he said it was the most miserable experience of his life as he sat with one and the other roamed freely touching things and exploring with no other adults in sight. They assured me they were trained to work with kids and my second would be watched by someone else but no one was there... just my husband who was holding our daughter who's eyesight was blocked and the hygienist who was tending to my daughter's mouth... They put their own safety and my kids safety at risk and we are lucky nobody was hurt. I will never go back to a place that will make me feel this uncomfortable again and I want to warn other parents as well.

My granddaughter was very scared (bad prior dental experience). Dr. Mensah explained every step to her in a way she could understand (i.e. sugar bugs are not good for your teeth, we are going to put them to sleep, then washing them away and covering up the tooth so they can't come back). Dr. Mensah's patience, empathy and singing (she made up songs about the sugar bugs) was amazing and got through the whole procedure in a very efficient manner. My granddaughter was Hi-Fiving with her by the time we were done. My granddaughter wants to go back to the dentist again. I am very grateful to Dr. Mensah for completely changing my granddaughter's feelings about going to the dentist, she can't wait to go back now. Thank you! Upon inspecting his teeth, the dentist came up with a whole treatment plan for my child that includes sealant, resin composite, prefabricated steel crown, therapeutic pulpotomy etc.. with a total cost of $3K AND 1.5hr and 2hr of anesthesia performed by a traveling anesthesiologist that cost $800/hr (insurance not covered) and they want 50% deposit up front to secure an appointment. I had to get pre-approval from my insurance so there were back and forth between the office and myself on gathering documents to submit. The office was slow in responding and in some instances, forgot to respond. I was ready to made my deposit on Feb 2nd, I called the office and no one picked up. I left them an email asking them to call me since I wasn't comfortable providing my credit card over the phone. They never called me back. When I called them again I had missed the once a month appointment from the anesthesiologist and the next available appointment date is in April. That would be a total of 5 month from my son's routine visit in November. I'm going to visit another dentist office where they perform everything onsite to prevent the headache.

Since this was our first time here (and our daughters first ever dental appointment) I was expecting a bit more (after reading all the reviews) and was surprised the tech never introduced herself or really engaged with our daughter. She was however, incredibly patient as our daughrrr decided toe or three different times she wanted to sit in the chair and lay back to attempt to watch to. In the end she lost interest and by the time Doctor Dave came in with his "silly glasses" Our daughter opted to sit in my lap. Dr. Dave did a quick explanation of how we were going to conduct the "cleaning" he had me lower my mask to show how he would count teeth. He sang the abcs as he checked my daughters teeth, remain engaged/attentive and answered questions. He even managed to floss her teeth (not even sure how he pulled that one off; maybe he's a magician!) Overall, we had a positive experience and will continue to use this elective for our dental needs; but I think it may be geared towards kids maybe 4+; but we gotta start somewhere. Lastly, the treasure we received was a Mickey toothbrush, floss, toy car, and bubbles (a huge hit). I had picked some stickers (since this is what our daughter loves) and hopefully made this a positive experience for her so she continues to enjoy her time at the dentist.

The practice is kept well maintained and clean. The equipment is modern and the decor is fun for children. There are plenty of books, tables and toys to keep them busy while waiting. The next morning around 8:20 a.m., I received a call from Mary, the secretary, that was confrontational and scolding in tone. I was told my actions were "unacceptable," repeatedly lectured about the 48-hour cancellation policy, and spoken to as though I were personally responsible for broader scheduling issues and other patients not showing up. When I asked why my only real-time communication about this appointment occurred one minute before closing, Mary responded dismissively that a reminder text had been sent weeks earlier. Given the timing, that text could have been sent during major holiday periods (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), winter break, or during recent weather closures--making it very easy to miss or forget. Relying on a single text weeks in advance and then reprimanding a patient is unreasonable. I understand office policies and operational stress, but patients should still be treated with professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, the front desk experience overshadowed an otherwise positive visit, and I doubt I will be returning.
