I found these guys a few years ago. They are swamped always, year round. Their attention to detail is way beyond 2 other shops I've used since moving to Columbus. Easy access.....great guys that talk with you and walk you through what they expect and then what they found and completed. Plan on any small engine repair too be done by these guys.....they're swamped so plan....imagine your expectations being exceeded. We took our Dixon lawn mower to Advantage given they are perhaps the only dealer in the area who services Dixon. It was a four-hour drive to get there. We were told we could pick it up on a certain date, but when getting there, it wasn't ready. This caused paying for a motel overnight. After getting the mower home, it did not work. I found there was a loose nut on the main drive shaft that was loose. I tightened it up and then it worked OK for a few times, but then it wouldn't steer. I found some more loose nuts. After tightening them, it worked OK, but after a while, it completely wouldn't steer or go anywhere. We took the mower in specifically to get the transmission adjusted and it ended up worse than when we brought it in. The cost of the repair was about $800 and I had to go buy another mower just to get the lawn mowed. read more

Brought in an older mower with some speed control problems. The guys not only fixed the speed issue but - after asking me if I'd like the carburetor cleaned and adjusted - did so. The mower not only starts on the first pull now but they even fixed/replaced some loose bolts on the housing and corrected the pull-cord problem, setting it properly back on the upper handle at no charge - all for at a total cost lower than the bench fee of most other exorbitant repair places in the Campus/Clintonville area. They are well worth the extra drive time to their place near south Columbus. Will definitely use these guys again. read more
