He was kind, empathetic, professional, and prompt. So when we were in the process of buying our next home I insisted on an air test for mold. There was no visible water damage and people told me I was over reacting. The house had been flipped and looked shiny and new. Nope. I will never again live somewhere without an air test. So I called Billy. I kept his info hoping I could just recommend him to other people but was glad I had it. Surely this was just a precaution... Nope. Stachybotrys. F***ing toxic black mold. He knew right away where it was. There was a toilet that had been installed improperly and was slowly leaking into the floor below. His moisture meter picked it up immediately. He even called me right after he tested and told me he was pretty sure the toilet was leaking. The inspection didn't find this leak, my realtor couldn't find the leak when he tried, but Billy called that out within minutes of inspecting the house. I'm SO GLAD HE DID! My realtor even shook his head and said "I can't believe he found an invisible leak but it's a good thing he did". He kept in close communication the entire time and recommended a remediation tactic to the seller (which was not followed, but that's another story). Radon Safety LLC quoted the sellers $1398.00 for the installation. I received the check at closing for the work to be completed. When the radon company tech came out, he said it would be an additional $300.00 because he had to hire another company to core a hole in my foundation. He then had to make a call to coordinate with the other company to set up another appt when they were both available. I had to take another day off of work, but they both showed up and the job was completed in about 2 hrs. At the very least, they should have requested what type of foundation the home had before quoting the work. I called the office to tell them they should honor the quote, and I was told by Amanda that the extra cost was "unavoidable". It was ABSOLUTELY AVOIDABLE had they quoted the job accurately! Not happy that I had to pay the added charge out of my pocket when I could have received the entire amount from the sellers. Beware of the extra charges from this company.

This was not hidden damage -- it was visible once baseboards were removed and should have at least been flagged for further evaluation. It's now costing us significant time and money to properly remediate. I also tried reaching out to discuss this and request a reinspection, but never received a response, which was even more frustrating. Based on this experience, I wouldn't hire again.
