I had notified them when booking that we were celebrating my birthday, and they put up a happy birthday background on the screen. Eli even took pictures of us pre-show in the game room. I was extremely touched by Eli and Britney's kindness and their above-and-beyond gestures! Britney presented me with a handwritten birthday card after the game show, and Eli gifted me with a t-shirt I was going to buy after the show. I hope they both know how special they made me feel; it truly warms my heart to have experienced their thoughtfulness, generosity, and kindness! I am FOREVER GRATEFUL and APPRECIATE ALL THAT THEY'VE DONE!! Now for the details: The game is an hour long, and if someone else books the same time slot, you may end up playing with random strangers, which we did. We definitely got our butts handed to us, but I still had fun! It consists of about 5-7 different randomized games. It's blue vs. red team, and the setup is in the style of a traditional TV game show, ranging from Jeopardy-style format to Wheel of Fortune, trivia, Family Feud, and Idiotest, etc. You really do feel like you're on a TV game show with a live host, buzzers, a big wheel to spin, and confetti exploding at the end! They do have some physical games; however, we had to forego those to be fair to the other team, which had a teammate on crutches. Britney was a lot of fun--super patient and considerate! I got a kick out of having to fill out the scantron with a big a#$ pencil. Make sure to arrive 15 minutes prior to your time slot. They have plenty of free games to play while you wait, and they have a bar to purchase beverages or you can ask for tap water. The Escape Game is also located in the building, and they have merchandise for sale, as well as merch for the Great Big Game Show. They have really cool shirts and hats available! At the end of the show, they offer 15 or 20% off your next booking. I'm not sure if there's an expiration date, but I hope not because I would love to come back. However, we live in VA Beach, so it's quite a drive. They do have restrooms. Parking is available in various parking garages among Georgetown. We paid to park in the lot next to RIMTANG which is really close.

As a four-person group, we decided to take on Poe's Chambers. The theming of this room is immaculate! Just the door to the room evokes the early 19 hundreds. Poe's Chambers really makes you feel like you're in the creative poet's home. I loved the overall feel! My fiancé and I were able to get the group through some of the puzzles, just due to our vast experience with rooms. I believe even our first-timer friends were able to see how we were making the connections and able to get their brains going too! I felt like we all really handled the room well and that it was friendly to them. There is one puzzle in particular I think E.R.A. needs to update. If it doesn't sit just so, it's easy to miss the clue. Though, everything else in the room worked flawlessly. Our game master was very attentive when we asked for two clues, though it took us a bit to decode her hints. We got out with 7 minutes to spare. I can see why this room would be an 8/10 difficulty. It's a fairly linear room, which I prefer when it comes to games. I've done rooms that feel scattered and those frustrate me to no end, lol. We solved the puzzles out of order, so we got a little lost trying to solve puzzles that were already solved. Also, we wasted a couple of minutes thinking we had solved the room when there was more left. Overall, it's a good, stimulating experience. We will likely come back to try their Shipwrecked room. The service there is great. The staff is very accommodating. By the way, Yelp has the wrong phone number listed and I hear it's nearly impossible to change, so if you want to contact the staff, you'll have to do it from their own website.

My family and I had the call the facility back so many times. They never called back, I had to keep calling. Then they said they could send someone out. There are different time-slots designated depending on the age group you decide to jump with. Each jump is allotted 3 hours. For instance, families with small kids jump early and adults jump in the evening. During the adult jump there was a live DJ who came up with games to engage the jumpers. The setup is comprised of 5 inflatable bounce houses with different themes. Within each of the bounce houses there are different props and games such as basketball hoops with beachballs for basketballs, gladiator rings, mini slides, a foam machine, and giant chairs. The best feature is the large slide that's attached to the "world's biggest bounce house" attraction, which is the largest of the 5 bounce houses. Some things to know before you go: - The weight limit is 245lbs - Bring extra socks, even if you just keep them in the car to change into afterwards. The weather was clear on our jump day, but rained in the days prior, which led to unavoidable puddles of water throughout all of the bounce houses. The temperature was around 60 degrees, so after a while walking around with wet socks was too cold and uncomfortable, which caused us to leave early - Wear shoes you don't mind getting dirty Recommend going on a warm day (not hot), ideally after consistently dry weather.

The inflatables were super springy (in the best way possible) and the staff were friendly and on top of safety without ever being overdoing it. We did not get any food, food truck offered fresh food options. The not so good: It was muddy due to rain in the area. There was some water puddles on the inflatables. It was not a show stopper. The best part! Everyone was genuinely having a great time. When they return to the DMV, this will be the perfect place birthdays, group outings, or just an excuse to have some all-out fun.

We had the BEST time at Insomnia Escape Room DC for my son's 16th birthday! It was my first-ever…read moreescape room, and my son--who's done a few before--said this was hands down his favorite so far. We chose the Mafia room, and from the moment we stepped in, we were transported to the Prohibition era. The atmosphere, the design--everything felt like stepping into a vintage crime thriller. The puzzles were super engaging--challenging enough to keep us on our toes, but perfectly balanced for the time limit. I especially appreciated that each room is a private experience, so it was just our group working together, which made it even more special. Martina, our host, was incredible--welcoming, professional, and gave just the right hint when we were stuck without taking away the thrill. We cracked the final clue with five minutes to spare and left feeling exhilarated! The location is a hidden gem--tucked in a quiet, walkable corner of Glover Park, close to restaurants and shops, and very easy to get to.
