Unfortunately the park close early this evening due to weather conditions. The ones I said ensure that all the customers left the park safely and promptly. I was with a group and we made sure we stick together and listen to all the required announcements. Call and Jade assisted me at the snack shack where they have pizza and soft serve unfortunately they did not have any software available at the time when I was there or they didn't have any pepperoni ready either they just told me 15 to 20 minutes wait. First time visiting Adventure island with the family, I bought four tickets on Groupon and when we arrived the tickets would not pop up and there was an issue with the app so after trying to contact Groupon and trying to get the tickets waiting nearly over 1 hour I was able to talk to some one to help me send my ticket information to the workers at Adventure island. What I like about the park is that there is enough activity for the kids to stay busy and my kids love being in the water also they have a regular pool and a wave pool. There is floating donuts for free to use in the lazy river and the lazy river is pretty long so you don't get bored. The wave pool is a good size and can fit a lot of people, also they have plenty of lifeguards on duty not just in the wave pool but I'm all the water activity areas and also security just in case things get out of hand. The rides are pretty fun and most of the time the lines where not that long of you can purchase a 'fast pass' type to get ahead in line. What I did not like about the park overall, the parking fee is $40 just to park when it should be included in the entree fee and also I didn't like that they did not try to fix our situation with groupon by letting us in with proof of our purchase untill one of their employees decided to look for my name and bam! He found my tickets. Overall, I am not sure I would comeback We waited a long time to get this issue resolved and no one tried to do much. I also noticed that the trash bins in this place were completely full and food trash was falling from the trash bins causing for the birds to get the extra food and fight over it. I am platinum pass Boulder, and come to this establishment all the time. The bees on the premises are out of control, they actually run the show. I purchased popcorn, walked a couple feet away and realized it was extremely stale. Went back to the booth. They made a new batch of popcorn and that was hot and stale. The park was very clean and had a great layout. We went on a Thursday and it was not crowded so that was great. The girls enjoyed all areas of the park! My favorite was the castaway fall area which was fun and not too much going on. I'm not a fan of slides but the kids and husband enjoyed those as well. Our family drove **4 hours** to Adventure Island expecting an amazing day with our kids, but it turned into one of the most frustrating theme park experiences we've ever had. The problems started before we even arrived. I purchased our tickets online, but the website never sent a confirmation email or the tickets. At Customer Service, the employee told me this was a common issue and joked that the confirmation email might not arrive until the following week. They eventually had to locate our order manually using our names. From there, it was one long line after another. We waited about an hour just to enter the park, another 20 minutes at Customer Service, another hour for food after purchasing the All-Day Dining package, more time dealing with locker issues, and then found attractions closing or unavailable--including the Lazy River with no tubes and additional ride closures. By the time we were finally ready to enjoy the park, most of the day had already been wasted. Our children were exhausted and crying, and we ended up leaving without being able to enjoy virtually anything we had paid for. In total, we spent **$467.44** on tickets, dining, parking, and lockers for a day that consisted almost entirely of waiting in lines and dealing with operational problems. The most disappointing part came afterward. I contacted Adventure Island hoping they would stand behind their customer experience and issue a refund. Despite explaining everything in detail, they refused to refund us. This was supposed to be a memorable family vacation. Instead, it became an expensive lesson. The overall water slides pools and lazy river activities were phenomenal. The food tasted amazing and I do think the all day dining is worth it if you eat at least twice. The only thing I will definitely be complaining about is the bees. They are EVERYWHERE, literally everywhere besides the water. Only a few of the places to eat had misters by the soda machines, which I guess scared away the bees because they had none. They were sucking on the sugar and sweeteners from all of the drink machines, including the Kona Ice truck. People would leave drinks and trash sitting around the park and there would be a huge swarm of bees. Everything else was great. There are a few rides that are closed during the week but they have plenty of other rides to fill in the gaps. The wave pool was really fun and has some decent waves. The cliff jumping is also a favourite, but girls be mindful of your swimsuits if you know what I mean. read more

We had a good time overall, but the food situation is terrible. One of the main reasons I reserved a cabana was because it said food delivery is included, but the delivery options are very limited. So we went to order from one place and stood in line for 10 minutes only to be told they were out of the one thing my daughter wanted. On our way back to the cabana, we tried getting drinks & a churro but their computer was down. We tried getting Dippin' Dots, but that stand had the same computer problem. We went back for Dippin' Dots later in the day, and they were out of 3 of the flavors. There were not a lot of food options available. The pizza place was closed for part of the day, and the food truck with empanadas was closed the whole time. So our choices were basically either hot dog or barbecue. I ordered kettle chips (shown as a large basket of chips in the picture) and a side of mixed fruit for cabana delivery. They were out of fruit, so they brought extra chips instead. But the chips they brought were not the large basket shown in the picture, but a vending machine sized bag -- for $7.50! I would have had them refund the fruit if I had been there, but I had stepped away and the kids just took the extra bag of chips they were brought. The ground gets HOT! I always walk barefoot at water parks and have never had my feet burn like this. They need to use different materials for the walkways or at least provide more shade or misters to keep the ground from scalding people. I saw kids crying and parents having to carry them because the ground was so hot in some places. One kid left the water slide line he was in because his feet were burning and he couldn't take it anymore. Summary: The water attractions are fine. Slides, lazy river, wave pool were all acceptable -- not the best I've been to, but definitely not the worst. But the food options are very limited and stupidly expensive, even for a water park. The cabana was nice to have, but I wouldn't spend that much ($280 for the cheapest option) on it again. If I came back, we'd eat lunch somewhere else first and not eat at all at the park. I went to another restaurant and told them I already paid but pizza place ran out. They just gave me water without checking my receipts. Over crowded, over priced, run by over worked underpaid kids and retirees. No water in the vending machine for kids waiting 1.5 hours just to get into the park. No outside food allowed. Water should be readily available, especially at the prices they get. Don't bother going on a weekend. All you'll do is stand in lines all day. This is a fun water park especially if you have kids. My daughter absolutely loved the slide park and the lazy river. We sprung for a reserved cabana so didn't have to jostle for chairs or shade. This came with a locker and a mini fridge which was great. They don't allow outside food but it's not super strict. We were able to bring in toddler snacks without hassle. Wow.... Where do I start? Drove across town to let my Daughters ride slides for the last hour of the day. Got to the Parking Cashier and she advised that unless we are there for "Aqua-Glow" the park is closed for the normal day. The park closes at 7:00pm... we were speaking with the Parking Cashier a little before 6:00pm. We turned the car around and proceeded to leave. We verified on Google Maps... 7:00pm is listed as the closing time. We verified on the park website... 7:00pm is listed as the closing time. We called their corporate number... The Representative confirmed 7:00pm As the closing time. We turned the car back around so we could get clarification. Spoke to the same Parking Cashier and advised that we verified via 3 different methods and nowhere is it communicated that the park closes an hour early due to Aqua-Glow. We asked to speak to a Manager and were told to go ahead and park and go to ticketing. We get to the front gates and advised Security (Jesse)that we're told to go to ticketing, by his peer at Parking, to speak with a Manager for clarification... he refused to let us in. We conveyed the misinformation, and he said the park closes at 6:00pm, because "Aqua-Glow" starts at 7:00pm. The website says that "Aqua-Glow" starts... at 8:00pm. The flyer in my email says that "Aqua-Glow" starts... at 8:00pm. Jesse then States that the park is closed early because they were over capacity. What the hell is going on here, Adventure Island??? Is the park closed early in preparation for "Aqua-Glow?! or Is the park closed early due to being over capacity?! Oh, also... does the park close at 7:00pm?! or Does the park close at 6:00pm?! And, oh yeah... does "Aqua-Glow" start at 8:00pm?! or Does "Aqua-Glow" start at 7:00pm?! And one last thing.. do we get to speak with a Manager (As we were told to do by the Parking Cashier)?! or Are we not even able to simply get the Managers name (Jesse, very pompously refused to give it to us)?! All of this misinformation and the inconsistent answers are unacceptable. Is this a case of False Advertisement? Or is it "Bait & Switch"? I'd typically allow something like this to slide, but the dismissive attitude from Jesse ensures that I will see this through to completion. All we were trying to do was use our passes for the times we were told that we could do so. It seems, to me, that the employees get to make the rules up as they go, and do not consider kindness or the knowledge of park information, as part of their job descriptions. This was a great deal when you get the Fun Card, which includes Busch Gardens (amusement park/zoo) and Adventure Island (water park). They have fun slides, height requirements vary depending on the slides. Riders have to be at least 42" to enjoy some slides, while others require a minimum height of 48". For the extra adventurous, there are 2 slides with "disappearing flooring", where you step into a capsule looking space and the floor opens up. There are different pools, one with simulated waves and the other with a small obstacle course and simulated cliff jump. There are also areas with sand and beach chairs to lounge around, plus a lazy River for a relaxing feel. Food options from the cafe were limited. Chicken nuggets, bbq chicken or ribs, pulled pork sandwich, Mac n cheese, fries and Caesar salad were the choices today. Some bar areas where you can grab some beers or mixed drinks. Places like these offer good fun for the whole family. This area is about a 5 hour drive for us, so we will definitely return! read more

Whatever you do do not go to this park. They are set up is horrible. We bought upgrades. Every single upgrade that we purchased we had to get into individual lines. By the time we got our wristbands for a quick query, our cabana we had already stood in line for two hours. The mobile service that we paid for for the cabana was not working, and they were unwilling to give me any refunds. I called their administrative department and they were just as unhelpful. This is a low frills water park that is not well maintained. We came here to cool off on a hot afternoon and found trash everywhere. The park is not very big and it appears they crammed as many chairs as they could in various places and it still was not enough seating as many guest were walking around looking for seats near the splash area and wave pool. The bathrooms and changing areas were disgusting, and no staff was in sight. My seven year begged to be changed in the car. I am so grateful I always carry clorox wipes for her. We have no intentions of returning, which is unfortunate as this is a short 20-minute drive from our home. read more

I have not been back since the late 90s and it's a lot of plants, bushes that make it feel very crammed. The wave pool is littlerly a wavy nothing good. The women's bathroom first opening was nasty you could tell the floor was not clean only spot clean was where you walked to the toilet. Soap pumps were missing the button to push, even mid day went to the changing room bigger bathroom and the showers had 2 with a curtian. They need a family area so mother's with boys. My girls were not comfortable changing. Lines took forever and they were NOT busy, the lazy river was cloudy and had mulch floating all in it. No one was checking bags just no coolers. You can bring in Gatorade too! I even called to confirm that. We rented a Luxury Cabana, biggest rip off, the the sides did not close to block the sun, the material on the chairs were not comfortable, it very crammed for it holding 8 people, ceilijg fan didnt do any justice. Food truck was closed, dip and dots had 1 locations open and out of a majory of flavors. Food condiments were empty at 1pm and or the ketchup was busted on what was there. ​ So you heard all the negative so here is some good.
