And stated that the advice of my General Doctors is just his basic opinion. That loyalty made my most recent visit all the more disappointing. I had a 10:50am appointment. The day before, Felicia texted asking if I could push to 11am. I said I'd try to rearrange my plans. She replied: "let's keep the 10:45." I managed to move things around (because if she was asking, I figured she was in need, and I wanted to help) and arrived at 10:57 -- 7 minutes late by the original booking, not 15. When I walked in, Felicia told me I was 15 minutes late. I explained I'd rearranged my schedule to accommodate her request. She shrugged and said "too bad, I already booked someone afterwards.". It wasn't until I was in the room that I checked the reminder email -- original appointment: 10:50. So by her own scheduler, I was 7 minutes late, not 15. Felicia eventually gave me an extra 5 minutes to make up for the mix-up, and I appreciated that. But the cold, dismissive way she started the appointment stayed with me. That's not how you treat someone who's followed you for 15 years. Part of why I see Felicia specifically -- and not one of those high-volume places with curtain walls and hospital beds for tables (you know the ones) -- is the whole experience. A facial should be calming and restorative, and Felicia's warmth has always been as much a part of that as her technique. When that warmth disappeared at the door, it colored everything that followed. The facial itself was top notch. Felicia is genuinely skilled, stays current on products and techniques, and can deliver a top-notch treatment in her sleep. I hope this was an off day, because the person that greeted me at the door was not the warm person that I've been loyal to for a decade and a half.

I was so so pleased when Carla give me a wonderful face/neck/shoulder massage while under the LightStim. It felt wonderful and it gave the impression that she cared about her clients relaxation in addition to results. So when it was time for the mask, I hoped she would continue that level of warmth and she did. She did a hand/arm massage while I masked, and that was so nice too. I've had so many technicians either do their dishes during that time or leave the room completely and I appreciated her care for the full treatment. Her products were all great quality, facility was clean, I was offered water and never felt rushed. It genuinely feels like Carla cares for her clients, and sadly I think that's not always the case (especially in LA). I left feeling relaxed and refreshed and had a healthy glow. Thanks Carla! Went in originally because I was suffering from hormonal/cystic breakouts due to PCOS. Never had acne my entire life, then this hit me in my late 20's. Part of my plan to fix the problem included regular deep cleaning facials (along with better diet/exercise/supplements/etc) During the first year, Carla noticeably decreased cystic breakouts overall, along with the scarring marks I had along my jawline/cheeks (caused by those breakouts). She put me on a new facial regime using iS Clinical products - which I continue to adhere to religiously to this day. Basically, she helped my skin recover from a traumatic 2 years of hormonal acne. Today, I RARELY breakout. I can't even remember the last cystic blemish I've had - it's that seldom. That said, I still see Carla monthly to maintain my glow and give my face a nice deep clean :) Carla is amazing at what she does. And I'm positive that since I'm a regular, she gives me a bunch of little extra freebies every time I see her for my monthly facial service. But then when I got into the actual facial procedure, it didn't go so well. I was assigned someone named Kyung. She used the needle/lancet A LOT. I had maybe one stubborn, deeper pimple, but the fact that she used a needle to puncture and squeeze a bunch of spots caused a lot of scarring/hyperpigmentation that's taken me over two weeks now to exfoliate and get rid of, and its not yet near to being clear. If their smaller ones that can be squeezed then a lot is normal- but the needle was used probably over 20 times. Not only that, but every time she spoke, it was always an attempt to get more money. First, it was asking if I wanted to buy a package or some sort of membership. She asked twice and kept on being pushy as she was doing the procedure. Next, she asked me to tip at least twice as well, and reminded me several times, even got the physical sign with her venmo/PayPal and showed it to me, to make sure I understood. Note that maybe had we made other small talk, then maybe, just maybe the way she was so pushy and trying to get more money out of me would be fine, but it was really every moment she spoke was an opportunity to get more money. It's a horrible feeling. That said, I wouldn't recommend trying, unless perhaps you're fluent in Korean and could veer the conversation to other things or speak more firmly when sold to.
