My son has been going to this practice since he was almost 3yrs old and he is now 18. With appointments twice a year for cleanings and other appointments for exams and treatments peppered in for many years, I have a good idea of what to expect from them. Parking is ample in this busy complex. The waiting area and back office have always been clean and kept up/maintained. The front office/reception is friendly on check-in and accommodating with scheduling. The office is well staffed so the waiting times (for us anyway) have been minimal and the flow of visits move right along. The office manager has shown genuine concern over the years and has helped me resolve issues. Dr. MacLean is very knowledgeable, appropriate and personable. She identified an issue with my son during one of his first appointments. Throughout the 15+ years he has been her patient, she has done so much to facilitate the best possible outcome for his oral health and in turn, for him. I can't thank her enough. Truly. read more

Run as fast as you can. Rude and unprofessional in every way. Kiddo was seen to get a cavity filled, they never warned me that I would have to bring my 5 yr old back and be strapped down while I wait in the waiting room. Kiddo couldn't sit through the trams alone and they were mad at me. Referred me elsewhere for IV sedation because they aren't good at their jobs. No thanks I've gone elsewhere when I can sit with my child through a procedure with out IV sedation. read more

today was my sons first appointment here. the entire process was amazing. my son has never been so comfortable with a dentist office, until today. My son has never gave me a thumbs up from a dental chair, but there's a first for everything and I got several thumbs up from him throughout the entire visit. From the front desk to check out I couldn't have expected a better experience than what we had today. From Veronica the hygienist who was so calm and had great bedside manner to Dr. Maclean who connected with him and set clear expectations and talked to him on his level was so reassuring for the both of us. I LOVE this place!!!! It's the BEST!!! VERY organized, friendly, professional, CLEAN, and ON TIME when you arrive for your appt (no waiting an extra 30 minutes like at the Doctor's office). Video games, books, and kid's movies to keep the kids busy until they are called back. In fact, they are so quick and efficient, they are usually done with my kid's teeth cleaning before I'm done reading a single magazine in the waiting room! This office is amazing! My son had his 6 month visit today and we had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. MacLean and Miss Cheri was his assistant. Cheri was very patient with him as today was his very first time getting x-rays. Lots of praise and encouragement for him being such a great patient. Dr. MacLean never disappoints! She was very patient with my son, stopping between his exam to let him talk about the movie that was playing-Monsters Inc...his favorite! Absolutely disgusted with how the OFFICE MANAGER runs this pediatric dental practice. My 2 year old had an appointment at 8 am in the morning. My poor baby woke up with a very high fever and vomiting and her tummy was severely hurting. As a concerned mommy, I didn't think of anything else but to get my baby to the emergency room. Well a couple minutes after 8 am as I am driving my poor baby to Phoenix Children's Hospital, I get a phone call from their office in regards to her appointment. I apologized and let them know, I was driving and currently taking my daughter to the emergency room. Their response was that I should have called. Wow, I'm so sorry I didn't call you during an emergency with my 2 year old. Long story short, we couldn't make it. I received a nasty letter from them that my child can NEVER be seen there. I called to try to straighten it out, the office manager stands by her decision even if it was my babies first appointment ever with them and we had an emergency. Pathetic. This place is/was HORRIBLE!! My daughter is now afraid of the dentist! My daughter needed 2 cavities filled. They gave her an oral sedation and informed us no parents are allowed in the back. Needless to say we forced the issue, one would be with her at all times as she is only 4. They put my daughter in arm restraints as well as wrapped her in a blue Velcro suit so she couldn't move. Towards the end of the appt my daughter started having issues breathing and they said that's normal she was just getting herself worked up and that she was over it already! When my daughter was done she was crying hysterically and they said that it was normal! They then sent us out the back door so the other parents/kids wouldn't see us! My daughter then started hallucinating, getting angry, crying, throwing things and she couldn't walk let alone stand up. "My daughter is not an angry child nor does she have tempertantrums" We called to find out how long this would last and the answer we got was "well every kids different". This place is awful!! I wish I would have NEVER taken my daughter to them!! Very in humane and now my poor baby is scarred to death of going to the dentist, way to go doctor!! Oh they also informed us after it was over, that we would need to watch and make sure she doesn't bite her lip "some kids bite them pretty bad" and to use Popsicle sticks if she started biting her lip. Yet no Popsicle sticks were given and luckily I was able to talk my daughter into eating 4things of pudding to keep her occupied" read more

What a disappointment when I had to get my daughters tooth fixed. She was so scared the dentist didn't explain anything and the one tooth she got a sealant on was already off a few months later. I had no problems when my son with there but he's had no cavities. We no longer go there and have found an amazing new dentist which he had no problem fixing her tooth. My daughter started with Affilaited Children dental when she was 5, she is 14 now...... not sure as to why I haven't made a review yet, so shame on me! This place is amazing! My daughter had a front tooth that was dead, we needed to get it pull due to an adult tooth coming in behind the baby tooth... we went to 7 different children Dental's and none of them were successful full. At that point my daughter was so afraid of the dentist and would cry frantically! Once we came to Affilaited children dental my daughter was so at ease she actually likes going to the dentist! They also work with a great orthodontist, Arthur orthodontics! Highly recommend both dental places! read more

It's was horrible my apportionment was at 9:45 they ask me to come in early (to check in at 9:00) for the oral sedation I was there at 8:57 they gave him the oral sedation at 9:50 after I informed them twice that my son is thirsty they are not kids friendly at all and the old theater chairs hurt my son leg and was crying so bad of the pain and the 3 computer they suppose to have game on them two was turned off not working and the third one said insert play station so no games for the kids to play my son was tiring to play with the nurse she didn't even smile for him worst clinic I had ever been . read more

I have to admit, I am afraid of the dentist so the thought of taking my one year old to see the dentist for the first time brought on a bit of anxiety for me. My friend at work referred me to her kid's dentist and I am so glad she did. First of all when I called to make the first appointment the lady that answered was so friendly, explained everything that they would be doing at my daughter's first appointment and was very helpful with my insurance questions. Then we walked into the office for her first appointment it was such a welcoming and fun environment, with a movie theme waiting area and my daughter's favorite movie was playing on the big screens in the waiting room. They got us back right on time and the dental assistant was so good with both me and my little one. We saw Dr. MacLean and she was amazing and made my daughter laugh and feel very comfortable. The appointment went great, no tears, from either one of us. I also learned so much from Dr. MacLean on what to expect to happen over the next few years with my daughter's teeth...which was very helpful for a first time mom. I was actually really fond of this dentistry, however, I missed one appointment for one child of three after a family emergency that took us out of state on a Thursday and when I returned on Saturday I received my kids charts and xrays with a nasty letter because I had missed the appointment without calling. I could see if this was a repeated offense or perhaps the situation causing us to miss the appointment wasn't so severe, but this just seems completely unacceptable, especially considering the fact that for their appointments they are NEVER on time and you wait on them for up to 40 minutes past your appointment time. I will say they are GREAT with kids but clearly their business is about money and not about kids. read more

I've been taking my two children (now 3 and 4) to Dr MacLean for 2 years now, and I would never take them anywhere else! The entire experience is as pleasant for me as it is fun for them. I have never waited more than 2 minutes in the waiting room, which is almost a shame because it's clean, comfortable, and set up like a fun movie theater, with movies playing, video games, even coffee for me! My children love going, Dr MacLean and her staff are funny, friendly, and also full of insight for parents as to how we can help our kids develop good dental habits. The admin staff there is totally on top of their game when it comes to billing and insurance, so there are no surprises in the mail weeks later. In fact I was contacted by someone on their staff a week prior to our last appointment to confirm an insurance detail-- I was so impressed at their level of organization and care, and appreciated not having to deal with it the morning of the appointment.
