I posted a review of this Arizona Preferred Surgeons & Dr. McClary, 2+ years ago. And still today,…read moreI have nothing but the utmost respect for ALL the surgeons within this practice. As well as the staff. They all mean the world to me. They saved my life (more than once) in so many ways. Not just with my health, but the emotional overcoming of what I experienced. They have ALL (from front desk to MA's, to PA's, NP's, Surgeon's, Office Manager, etc.) touched my life and my family's life. I am a 36 year old wife with four beautiful children. My two oldest (daughter & son) are old enough to remember the "me" I was before all the surgeries and hospital stays. Which I spent more time in the hospital than I did at home. The older two children can remember every moment of every scary experience. Even one's that I myself am unable to remember. But my two littles, (daughters), don't remember the days that mama was able to hold them and sing to them, and do any & EVERYTHING with them. They don't know their mom who wasn't sick. But they are all four just amazing human beings. My husband had to go from being the fun dad to being the "do it all" daddy. And he's been wonderful about it. I still need to have a few more procedures and haven't been doing well lately. And there is not another surgical office that I would trust with my life, than this office. I'm a high-risk patient, and Dr. McClary is my most trusted surgeon and human being in general for my complications. But I have had the pleasure of seeing all the physicians within this practice. And I would recommend ANY & ALL of them! My anatomy is just a bit different than others lol! And Dr. McClary has been there from the start of me becoming a higher risk patient. Thank you to all who have read this, if you made it this far ! And thank you to Dr. McClary, along with THE entire staff! Everyone! Thank you, thank you!

AVOID. Lost referrals. Deny they accept insurance. They call me RE: referral - oh do not accept…read morethat insurance. Oh we operate multiple businesses here. Other biz accepts that insurance. Appointment goes OK - DOCTOR IS GREAT. Incomplete orders to medical facility. No pain meds @ Rx - another follow-up. Another call to schedule follow-up appointment - forgot to schedule. Unsure if this is "in play" here, but more and more medical practices are nothing more than shells macerating for some conglomerate. Doctors are employees without any ownership or oversight for the staff. Staff turnover is horrific with least cost apparent. There is a valley urology multi-location practice than worse than this. But my opinion a race to the bottom.

On Jan. 7th, I had two appointments scheduled. The reception at this first check in- wonderful…read morestaff! Easy check-in process and happy to answer any questions I had. The first appointment was an ultrasound to check my kidneys and bladder. I arrived with a full bladder, as I had been instructed that I would need to provide a urine sample. However, once I was taken back for the ultrasound, I was told that my bladder needed to be empty, after I had already consumed a large amount of water prior to my appointment. The ultrasound technician she was wonderful--very kind, professional, and easy to talk to. After the ultrasound, the technician walked me next door for my cystoscopy procedure. At this reception desk, the staff appeared overwhelmed. One staff member was having a loud phone conversation about being unable to accommodate a request and something about there should be different colored patient folders for each day of the week to keep things more organized. I was then given a wristband and asked to sit down to wait. While seated, I noticed that the name and date of birth on the wristband were not mine. I immediately returned to the desk and was told that the wristband was for someone else who was scheduled for a vesicostomy. The receptionist then corrected the error and replaced it with the correct wristband. When I was called back, I was asked if I was prepared to provide a urine sample, despite being instructed earlier, prior to the ultrasound, that my bladder needed to be empty. This was confusing, as the instructions were inconsistent. During the cystoscopy, I was fortunate to have a very kind and reassuring nurse who thoroughly explained the entire process and provided comfort throughout the procedure. Dr. Desai was also wonderful. The procedure was quick, and he allowed me to watch the screen so I could understand what he was doing and what he was looking for, which I appreciated. I did provide a very small urine sample on January 7th and am hoping to be contacted soon regarding the results. I did try and write the review on the link I was emailed but it read too many characters. So I logged into the patient portal and there is not a link to contact someone there. So, I hope they see my review on Yelp.

I don't know if it's incompetence or the front staff just sucks, but this is pathetic. They waited until Friday evening, just before closing to inform us that the first attempt would be canceled. Then today(Monday), when attempting to make a new appointment, they canceled again after setting it up. How in the world can you guys treat patients like this? It's unforgivable.

Dr. Lin's calm welcoming demeanor allows for your worries to fade away during your visit. I love how he addresses what needs to be addressed and moves on. I promise you, you will not be there any longer than you need to be. The front desk lady that I worked with during both of my visits was so kind and welcoming. I wish I remembered her name, because she deserves as much praise as Dr. Lin... In my opinion, getting checked in at places can be frustrating and sets the tone for your visit. If you have any worries, the lady with the tattoos at the front makes sure that you are comfortable and welcomed accordingly... Overall, I would recommend this facility to anyone...

No hand shake or a "I see you are a new patient". He asked questioned quickly without any interest. He looked and focused much more on his tablet than on the patient. Right off the bat he wanted to start all these crazy testing.. I mentioned to him again I am here to established myself's new patient and just follow up on my PSA As soon as I mentioned this to him again, he said no follow up. Literally opened the door and walked out the door and stood in the hallway still on his tablet, waiting for me to leave the room. I still had questions for him and instead of him walking back into the room, he stood there in the hallway where everybody can hear the questions I had for him I felt unwelcome, I felt he believed he is a God, big ego for sure. I felt he did not like the color of my skin. He rushed me out of and pointed the way out. I was polite to the staff, answered questions as needed and I treat people the way I would like to be treated. Besides that, one staff member is super nice. The place well kept them clean lots of parking. It's a place I would definitely not go and never recommend in my life. I should've read this reviews before going there.
