WHAT NEGATIVITY! I saw two acupuncturists there. They both wasted much appointment time criticizing what other doctors & healthcare practitioners were doing for me. It was a cringe because these acupuncturists had no idea what they were talking about medically so were giving me wrong advice. Dr. Christie made fun of the instructions the G.I. doctor gave me, which clearly she didn't have the education to understand. Ditto for the other acupuncturist who repeatedly told me my physical therapy exercises were wrong. Well, I never asked their opinion, and as licensed acupuncturists, it is not legal for them to comment on other medical care. But how do you say that to someone who is sticking needles into your tender body parts? You can't when you are the vulnerable patient being worked on. I ignored them and hoped it would stop. Nope. Every appointment i had to listen to their barrages of confusing, annoying, wrong medical advice along with inappropriate, intrusive questions that seemed purely voyeuristic. I complained -- Could I just have some relaxing acupuncture and be on my way? Nope. Dr. Christie gave me an ultimatum - accept all the unlicensed, uneducated medical advice or she would cancel my appointment, which she did soon there after. Whoops, I never should have given them the benefit of the doubt and returned after that first appointment. Clearly patient comfort and quality care is not on their agenda. read more

I love this clinic, especially my acupuncturist there, Shawn! They are so caring at Affinity and I love that they take my insurance - that is the reason I started going to them. Most places that take insurance will only give you the bare minimum and you won't really feel cared for. This is not so at Affinity! I truly feel that all of the staff there is pulling for my health and well - being. Shawn is so creative in her approaches to my chronic conditions: adrenal fatigue and ocular migraines. These are both tough ones to treat. But she keeps trying new techniques, and we have finally landed on a combo that is making a huge difference for me: a magnetic pad underneath me, cupping, and needles. I leave each session with such a huge surge of energy that has greatly improved the quality of life. And I can tolerate screens more than ever before! I'm suffering from a pinched nerve in my neck which travels across my back, shoulder blade and down my right arm. To date I've tried medications, physical therapy and even an anti-depressant used to also treat nerve pain and found mixed results, but never any lasting relief. I had to ask Kaiser if I could go to acupuncture and surprise!, they do allow it and will pay for it. I decided to go to Dr. Christie based on her reviews and I'm so glad I did! Within the first treatment I felt a change for the better and with the subsequent treatments I am having some pain-free days now (a miracle, and I don't even take an aspirin) and days that I do have some pain it's a lot less than before. I'm confident now that I'll find total relief under Dr. Christie's care. Dr. Christie treats the whole you, and she knows what she's doing and has a magic touch. I came in with an open mind and told her just to do what she thinks is best for me. She's intuitive and amazing! When western medicine has its shortcomings and you need someone that will listen and address your immediate pain and discomfort, this is the place to go. This woman truly has healing hands and really tries to get to the source of the problem. Dr. Christie has successfully treated me through my 1st pregnancy 3 years ago, first for sciatica and then when I dealt with painful fibroids where I could barely walk. It was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. During that time, I went to her for acupuncture every week and the pain went away with her help before I delivered. After 2 babies, I stopped going for a while because of they no longer accepted my insurance. I decided to go back recently for my allergies and rolfing. I always feel better after leaving her office. She is experienced, she knows what she is doing and cares that your condition improves. And of course, she hires good people to work with her. I discovered Affinity Acupuncture & Rolfing through Groupon. I had been wanting to try Rolfing for awhile, but hesitant to try it based on things I'd heard about Rolfing through friends. I decided to give it a try when I saw Dr. Christie's groupon offer for 1/2 hour acupuncture & 1/2 hour Rolfing session. On my first visit, Dr. Christie was warm and welcoming. She did a great job of evaluating my problem areas (chronic shoulder and neck pain) and recommending solutions. In that 30 minute Rolfing session she was able to quickly identify and work out a lot of the tension in my upper back. It was intense at times, but the release in my muscle and tissue felt amazing afterwards. I was so impressed with the results I decided to proceed with the full series. Now, I am almost done with the Rolfing 10 series and I feel great. Dr. Connie Christie is very experienced and knowledgable about Rolfing and Acupuncture. She really listens to her patient's feedback and uses her experience to come up with creative treatments. She answers all the questions I have during my sessions and explains what she's doing and why she is doing it. In my recent sessions she's combined both Rolfing and trigger acupuncture to help get a deeper relaxation in the muscles and tissue. And, since I practice yoga she's used Rolfing to help me go further in yoga poses that had been very difficult for me prior to Rolfing. I've had both my chiropractor, yoga teachers and massage therapists tell me that there is a change in my body since I started Rolfing, too. Excellent care! Dr. Christie (and the entire staff) is caring, thoughtful, kind, and professional. I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure early 2019 as well as liver issues from an underlying genetic disorder and my optometrist recommended I pair Western medicine with Eastern medicine to throw everything possible at my recovery plan. I had always been curious about acupuncture but had not tried it before. I was somewhat nervous on my first visit but Dr. Christie was so warm and attentive listening to my long list of health concerns and explaining how acupuncture works and what she recommends as a treatment plan. I have been going to Affinity Acupuncture weekly in addition to seeing my Cardiologist and adhering to a prescription medicine plan and have seen big improvements in my health. In addition to being more calm and a large reduction in anxiety my heart ejection fracture has improved from 21% to 32% to 42% to 46% (55%+ is normal) since April and my liver health has improved as well per my recent blood tests. I am so happy I found this place and Dr. Christie! I would recommend her to anyone who has stress in their life, so--everyone! I have chronic pain in my lower back/right hip that developed about a year ago. She worked magic on the tension in my shoulders and hips. I had a Rolfing session and then acupuncture, and the combination was out of this world relaxing! The Rolfing session eased a lot of tension in my lower body and I could feel the difference afterward with improved range of motion and fluidity of movement. I will definitely try to schedule a longer session next time so she can spend more time on my neck and shoulders. I can't stand hospital needles, so I tend to be a tiny bit nervous when getting acupuncture, but she made me feel very comfortable and she turned out to be one of the best acupuncturists I've ever encountered. I initially came to Connie with a middle finger pain issue. Acupuncture helped cure my middle finger pain from rock climbing. Now, I come to Connie when I am sick or just need a tune up. I used to get acupuncture weekly, for a couple years, from my best friend, who then moved out of state. My relative just visited this office and is doing remarkably better after only 2 visits! She had hip trouble after a car wreck and has been trying everything for it since 2011 after a car wreck. She doesn't yelp so I am giving her review for her. She said that she had rolphing done and that Dr. Christie made her feel comfortable and that she was extremely comforting and has really been able to help her more than physical therapy, chiropractic or massages. She highly recommends seeing Dr. Christie because she has more movement and mobility and less pain than she has had since 2011. She plans to continue more treatments but is amazed after 2 visits with how much movement she has in her hip and back that was locked up.
