I went and bought it, got the paperwork showing a 30 day guarantee and then installed it. The PUMP was bad and it did NOT push fluid. As you might know, that's PRETTY important to a transmission. Had to take it out. I called him 5 times trying to get my money back. The answer I always got was "I don't have that money". He offered to let me trade it back in on other merchandise, but since I live in Tennessee and it's such a long drive, that's a complete waste of time and he wanted MORE money from me. I wouldn't buy ANYTHING from McDaniel auto parts. They are not interested in giving you your money back if it's junk. I removed the transmission from the truck and ended up having to spend a lot more money on a completely different until because I couldn't trust that the unit was good. I had never used a mobile mechanic before, and usually only go with people I personally know or large companies. I was cautious, but Alex's location on Google Maps was nearby, so I initially reached out. At the time, I couldn't get through, so I ended up going to another shop that diagnosed the issue -- but quoted me an outrageous price and told me it would take nearly a week to fix. Later, Alex followed up with a phone call and voicemail. I had already dropped the car off elsewhere but was still checking other shops for faster turnaround and better pricing. While I was trying to text the original shop, I accidentally messaged Alex instead -- which turned out to be a lucky mistake. He offered a far more reasonable quote, was understanding about my situation (I needed the car to get back to a outstate job site), and worked with me on timing. He had the job done in around 4 hours from his intial predication that he gave at the start -- right on target with the estimate he gave in my eye. Despite doing me a favor by fitting me in, he kept me updated every step of the way, even letting me know when a part he expected wasn't needed. He adjusted the final price accordingly -- since the original quote was based on a misdiagnosis from the first shop, which assumed my model had a part it didn't. Alex clearly knows his stuff. He's got the tools, the experience (over a decade in traditional shops), and the professionalism. I really appreciated his honesty, transparency, and speed. I'm definitely going to him again.

Multiple visits, issues every time. Do NOT use for your car care needs!…read more The technicians here have no idea what a tire rotation is. Multiple visits when I've had to get oil changed, they fail to rotate the tires, yet put on the paperwork that they did them. I can TELL when the hubcap covers haven't been touched because the amount of brake dust that's on there. Not ONE mark from gloves of technician removing hubcap. Also reporting wrong on service vehicles the mileage, which I see in the service vehicle portal. Over 10,000 miles less than what's on the dash. I'm surprised corporate hasn't given them a visit for their shoddy work. Stay away from this shop.
