Other quotes I received varied in pricing by double and wanted 50% upon signing then 40% day of installation leaving 10% at completion. Also changing the installation date was costly, some $500 just to change a date. WA Evergreen did not charge a fee to change a date, nothing down just pay when completed. Great communication by all involved. I'm very happy that I chose them.

He was always willing to jump on the phone to answer any questions, which I appreciated a lot. My house was built prior to 1989 so I received a nice PSE rebate for the work. On the day of, Jo's crew were quick and efficient and provided Before and After photos. They removed my old vapor barrier and insulation and replaced with new one, added new dryer vent duct and flapper, and added new roof vents for all my bathroom fans, and much more. I was able to ask them questions during and provided water and snacks to them for their hard work. The crew respected my home and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. After the work was completed, I thanked Jo for making this all possible and being easy to work with. We went over some of the After pictures together over the phone to help me learn about everything and ask additional questions. They even sent a crewmember to come back for a 2-week follow-up on the work to make sure everything still looks good. First, I…read morehad the estimator come out just a couple days after I called, he spent an hour or so going over my house & checking the insulation and then figured out the estimate. I was shocked, with the PSE rebate, which NW Insulation takes care of, the estimate was thousands less than I thought it would be! I signed up, and a day or so later I got a call to schedule the install, again, surprisingly, they could do it right away and I scheduled for about a week out. The installers got to my house about 8am and were very polite and professional. They basically worked all day, got the job done, and were on their way. They left everything clean and it is amazing to me how the house looked when they were done. They blew in the insulation from the exterior and the method that they used left no trace, they removed a course of siding, drilled holes, filled the walls, plugged the holes, and replaced the siding. You can't even tell that they were there. I have only had a few hot days to determine if there has been an improvement and honestly it really does seem to stay cooler inside, looking forward to winter for the real test. All in all, this has been a great experience, I very highly recommend NW Insulation for your project.

I went up and checked before, during and post work and we are so pleased. We are now properly vented and have airflow, have all areas sealed, vent fans sealed correctly and enough insulation. It took only about an hour for the estimate, including the 1/2 hour the gentleman took to write it up and provide photos, work to be done and costs (in a color pamphlet!). He also reviewed what was found and what work should be done and why. We were really impressed. The actual work was scheduled week later and took 2 days (did not take an entire day each day). They were quick, clean, put up plastic barriers to protect the walls, house and floor. No leakage of any debris or old soiled insulation occurred. 10/10 would hire again. Note: they took care if the PSE rebates and were recommended by PSE.

Pro's - Basic work seemed to be done well and at a price that was competitive with others I contacted at least for the basic service. - Communication was prompt. - After some re-scheduling on their part, the team did the work swiftly and efficiently. - Most of the terms were clear in advance, using Yelp Projects. Con's - This is a fairly shiesty corner of the home maintenance world. Many providers seem to give you a low-ball estimate to get in the door and then upsell significantly. - Envirosmart is not an exception. - The initial quote was $200. This included scoping the ducts and doing the negative pressure clean-out. - Onsite, they then upsold me to $670 for a more thorough brushing of the vents, sanitation, and some other ancillary services. - They were only modestly well-organized. They called the day-of to reschedule because of a conflict with internal training. They also confirmed a different time than I had originally scheduled. It was the difference of a 9 to 11am original window and a 2:30-3pm arrival. - The Yelp Project communication could have been clearer. They did not specify whether they were calling to quote me or coming to do the service! Amid all this and with some clarification and flexibility on our part, we worked it out. I would have appreciated either a discount or additional service for the delay. None was proffered. I did not go ahead with the upsell as I had already gotten quotes for less from other providers with somewhat more transparent pricing. I think the work they did appeared fine. See attached pics. Your guess is as good as mine which are before and which are after! They did not specify when they sent them to me and email took off the timestamp. I'm hoping the cleaner ones. I probably will try another service when I do this again and with a higher rated provider. All in all, though, I had low expectations and those low expectations were met.

The price they charged was much lower than the two estimates I got from other companies and the quality of work seems good.

They were friendly and professional, but a follow up inspection by another company later revealed that the work was substandard, and things that I'd paid for had not been done. After several attempts NW Crawlspace were unable to fix their mistakes, and communication broke down. I paid another company to come in and fix things, and the owner of NW Crawlspace reimbursed my costs and gave what I believe to be a sincere apology.

I also found that he was the only one who wasn't "sales"-y in his approach. 2) Financing was an option with 0% interest if paying off in 18 months. 3) Was the most affordable out of all the bids. Don't get me wrong, the pricing was comparable, but this company won by a small margin in costs. 4) They provided the removal of items and trashing it into the costs. A particular company was going to charge an insane additional amount to do this. 5) The workers who came to do the work were all friendly, professional, clean and quick. They did the job of about 1500 sq. ft. of crawlspace in one day. 6) When we inspected the finished product the next day, we were happy and their work exceeded our expectations! No more crazy smell coming from the vents and everything down there has been sealed and re-insulated, so no vermin should be coming in. 7) Plus, they have a 1 year "Rodent protection plan" for someone to come every 3 months to monitor the rodent traps to ensure us that the rats are not coming in. So by these reasons, I highly recommend this company! I will update in a few months or a year to make sure we are completely "rodent-free" down there. Excellent job!
