This is a long post but please read if you plan on getting a ROOT CANAL done here. Please DO NOT go here. I mean it from the bottom of my heart. You will regret getting a root canal done here. I got mine done 1/12/2026. The process was brutal and dr. gil did my procedure. Throughout the process nearing the end of my root it started to get painful and then he perforated my sinus cavity. The bleach solution they put through your tooth for the root canal went up my sinus and I gagged from it , since it was gross. When he would pause to take XRAYs of his work, he would ask his assistant if it looked good. His assistant said I don't know while looking down. This happened three times. Also, he would handle my face a bit roughly which took me by surprised. When they would pause for the xrays I caught my hands shaking and my legs too. I felt like a baby! But after my root canal. He then put a huge temp crown that felt and looked like a dried lump of playdough. After the whole thing was done, that same night my left nostril would leak brown and red fluid, which took a week for that to stop. He told me to take pseudoephedrine to cure that. It never worked. I felt so much pain throughout the wait period for my permanent crown, which was going to take about a month or two. I started to feel ear and sinus pain all on my left side. I started experiencing hearing loss and my eye started to swell too. I went back to this clinic for help and the dr said something along the lines of, I can't do anything for you, other than give you a referral for UCLA. So, I tried to do exactly that, never heard back from UCLA, they're bad at answering phones and this clinic told me that I'd have to go in person because of that reason. I was in and out of urgent cares and the hospital from the amount of pain that I was in from this unfinished root canal. Because I found out from an AMAZING Dr., that dr.gil missed a whole canal in my tooth. I had to get this tooth extracted. Once I saw this tooth out of my mouth not only was it stinky as heck, but it was BLACK, pure black. It was so rotten and infected from where the drilling was done. I had this stinking tooth in with my temp crown for five months since I was trying to find a dr here in bako who would help me. This whole process was bad. Im not sure why this place is still in business. I understand how hard it can be to be a dr. and dealing with patients who have a fear of dentists but experiences like mine is what causes the loss of respect for Drs. in general. Please do research for your teeth since it affects so much of your body. Don't just let anyone who accepts your insurance work on you. I've learned from this now. I don't do this with ill-intent, just be careful. read more

They were very nice people but the actual service was very bad. I had a root canal done and after it i was left with 5+ cuts in my mouth that didnt heal for over a week. Also when the procedure started she numbed the completely wrong side of my mouth. There was a tool that they were using during the procedure and I guess it burned the dr bc she screamed and dropped it on me. Overall horrible experience other than the fact that they were nice people. read more

Root canal nightmare! I have had issues with my teeth since I was a child. I've had dental work done on almost every tooth. I changed dentists and last week was my first appointment for a root canal. I felt like I was numb until the drilling started. The deeper she drilled, I knew I could feel it. I stopped her and told her I could feel the procedure. She told me it was a bad infection and I may feel some pain. I HATE DENTAL WORK. And it makes me so uncomfortable. But this was beyond anything I could have imagined. I started feeling the pain more and more and she even said she was touching the nerve. I had to shake my head to get her to stop. She hesitantly gave me a shot but didn't let it have time to do anything, she immediately continued to drill. I couldn't handle the level of pain I was feeling and I became anxious and tense. She was not concerned that I was in pain beyond what I could handle. Just told me to relax and kept saying we're almost done. Then she was filing out the root and I could feel everything. The part of my mouth lower than my teeth was completely numb. But not where it was supposed to be. Of all my dental experiences, and i have had many, this was by far the most painful and traumatizing. My hands were shaking and my knees were weak when I tried to stand up. When I left, I walked out with a temp crown that looks nothing like a tooth. My head was pounding and hurt for hours after I got home. I have to go back to get the permanent crown but I will be finding a different dentist immediately. I would be terrified to ever have dental work done again there. It's too bad. The office is nice and staff were very friendly. I feel like the procedure was handled very bad and she did not listen to me at all. I had tears coming out of my eyes. You are not supposed to feel pain during dental work. And she basically forced me to endure the pain of a drill touching a nerve a lot. That is ridiculous. And I'll never forget how much it hurt. My experience from 1-5 is a 0. This was not Dr. Gill. It was a woman. I had no idea she was not Dr. Gill. So I have no idea who was drilling on me. read more

The sterilization of instruments and x-ray equipment is questionable. I have ocd and germ phobias. I asked tech if they were new because upon walking in, I observed white film on one of the metal instruments- that and they were not opened from plastic, which shows its sterile. The metal was not a bright, shiny metal new it had smudges. I asked for new instruments The tech proceeded to argue with me about the process of clean instruments& , in a mocking tone, asked if I'd like the whole room to be cleaned bc of my germ/ ocd phobias. She explained that instruments get concrete stuck to and that they had been cleaned.? I should have gone to a proper endo. They take x-rays and say we can fix all.. One might not be a filling, and we will see if it takes. I feel as if they just wanted to rush and agree to all 4 teeth needing care and root canals. Not knowing if they could actually do the job fully. After exam and x-rays, my jaw hurt for a week. I told them I had tmj and sensitive.. they didn't listen. Their bedside manner and cleaning practices are hostile. The left and right hand don't correspond.. as I tried canceling the appt 4 times and still harassed to keep the appt The one root canal they attempted turned bad.. They opened, found it to be too calcified. I don't think they waited long enough to see that decalcification med would work. It didn't, and they put some bulky concrete cap on my tooth. Referred me to ucla and said "oh they don't answer." u just need to go there. .. WAS TOLD They DON'T answer calls BC ITS UCLA THEY BUSY., because this place IS IN such a rush not to be helpful they MISS PROPER INSTRUCTIONS FOR REFERRING WHICH IS ON RECORDED # PROVIDED ON THEYRE REF SLIP. IF THIS PLACE CARED OF PATIENTS, THEY WOULD KNOW THAT SENDING REFERAL IS NOT ALL THAT IS REQUIRED. ALSO INSURANCE AND COPY OF ID. They just wanna rush, shuffle as many people in, and oh well, if they can do THE WORK. THEY ARE UNPATIENT AND UNSKILLED. AND LIKELY EILL CAUSE LOSS OF TOOTH IM REPORTING THEM TO DCA And Medicare NEEDS TO KNOW THEY ARE FRAUDS read more

All my teeth have been sensitive to cold or hot temperature for years, due to loss of enamel, it has to do with my sjorgrens desease and for 3 years, I had given up to going to any dentist office because they were just so rough and caused so much pain to my teeth, fear of pain and just dealing with doctors that don't understand or helped with the deteriorating of my teeth. I could not find an office to really understand and find solutions, until I found Affordable Dental care. The Hygienist Gloria does an excellent work, she explains everything to detail, and is so gentle, my sensitivity has gotten way less and continues to improve. All the staff is professional and truly take pride in their work. Let me start off by saying this is a 10 months review. I first started seeing Dr. Gill back in February for a root canal I did my X-Ray in February and today went in for a two half hour root canal. Just to tell me they couldn't fix my whole tooth. So now I have to go to a Specialist. read more

After cracking my tooth 4 days ago and going to my regular dentist who said they couldn't find a problem, I was in considerable pain. I went to my Dr. and he couldn't offer any help. Next day I went to the dentist again. This time they said it was a crack in the filling but they couldnt treat me. Now I'm in terrible pain. That night i went the er and they numbed my jaw and gave me a pain shot. Dr. Gill heard about my condition through a mutual friend and said he would meet me at his office in the morning ( now this is a Saturday, July 1st morning). He met me there and treated my tooth. He was very professional and very kind. His lovely wife came with him to be his assisstant and she also was very compassionate. I am out of pain and so very grateful for the compassion and professionalism that Dr. Gill gave me. I will definitly be making Dr. Gill my new dentist. read more

Dr. Gill is not only a skilled dentist, but he is also personable and easy to work with. He communicates well in English, Punjabi, and Hindi. I do not know if he is also fluent in Spanish, but he has staff that are, so communication is solid for most of the languages in this area. The office is a freshly rennovated building dedicated to his practice, and rooms are set up for specialized treatments. His equipment appears to be new and is up to date with digital xrays and electronic charting. Appointments are obtained for routine exams, fillings etc within a week or two at most, and for endontics within three to four weeks. He accepts most insurance. The work I've had done has held up beautifully. I'm delighted to have found an affordable dentist so easy to work with. read more

Dr and staff have been by far the best at providing service for my dental care. Very communicative, attentive and very friendly. Watching the doctor interact with staff is very professional and he is respectful compared to other dentist I have seen. That says a lot to me also about the care I will receive and my concerns to be addressed. read more

I scheduled an appointment and walked into Dr Gill's office with high hopes and in tremendous pain. Although I did not get to personally meet with Dr Gill, I was however disappointed with his Colleague and dental assistant. The red tape of insurance took president over my pain and infection. I was in that office for an hour in which was a waste of my time. I left their frustrated and in pain. The only thing they did was call in for antibiotics for me. They said they would call me, it's been over a week and still haven't heard from them. Since then I went to another dentist that same day he did the work and I am ok today. Good thing I didn't wait on Dr. Gill's office. read more

Great place to go to! Everyone is very welcoming and they make sure they get everything you need. The assistants are super nice and Dr. Gill is a great doctor to work with. Do not go to this dentist, Dr. Gill, especially if you have any kind of dental coverage through your employer or Denti-Cal (Medi-cal)They are dishonest with what is covered and what is not covered. They make less money (especially billing with Medi-Cal) than if they just get you to pay on a cash basis. You need to know your insurance in and out and know what they cover because this office will not be truthful with you. I was quoted over $2400.00 of work that needed to be done and the office informed me that NONE of it would be covered under my insurance. I questioned them on the coverage and they double-downed on it and insisted the procedures were not covered. WELL, THEY LIED TO ME. I went to another provider (dentist network) that accepted the very same insurance and the procedures were COMPLETLY covered. Dr. Gill has decent dental skills, but they are dishonest.
