My old practice was a single dentist, a few dental assistants and a receptionist. You spend your entire visit with the dentist and he provides you an honest summary of your visit. The total visit is under a half hour. Biltmore Commons has 6 Dentists and at least that many dental hygienist and more dental assistants and receptionists. You spend the majority of your visit with your hygienist and about 2 minutes with the dentist. Because there is so much overhead you get a Spirit Airlines experience where you are constantly getting upsold nonsense. The hygienists are more like used car salesmen than people who clean your teeth. I have been to this place twice and they have tried selling me laser treatment ($100) night guards ($800), Invisilign, a Waterpick ($120), an additional cleaning, and they were going to try to sell me an electric toothbrush if I didn't already have one. The hygienists don't give up the entire visit until you say yes to something. The dentist never says you need any of these things. I never went through with any of these scams. And I will not be going to Biltmore Commons ever again. My first visit was 2 hours (with x-rays) and my second was almost an hour (without x-rays). I have a life and my time is not valued. My recommendation is to find a dentist with less overhead where they can pay for their practice with just regular dental work and not ancillary products.

My 70 year old family member called the office the moment she woke up feeling very sick, stuffy nose, too weak to get out of bed. She was told she would be charged a $50 no show fee because she didn't give them 24 hours notice. Be sure to plan your illnesses in advance everyone! Her options were: 1)drive to the dentist while feeling very weak and sick, expose everyone there with her illness to "prove" she was sick enough, and then drive home or 2) incur a $50 no show fee. We requested this be brought to company leadership to consider her circumstances and remove the charges, but they refused to make any consideration for an ill, low income, senior citizen. $50 is nothing to this company, but significant to someone on a fixed income trying to make ends meet. STAY AWAY from this greedy, inconsiderate company.

Seriously pick somewhere else. I went to two different locations. The first (Estrella) seemed fine,…read moregot a filling whatever. Filling kept hurting till the pain got unbearable. I had moved and went to the downtown office. The dentist there literally told me that it looked like whoever did the filling hadn't gotten all the decay out before putting the filing in so I needed a root canal as it was now infected. Went to an endodontist elsewhere to get that done. Came back for the crowns, they told me it looked like it was infected again and I would need a repeat root canal. They did nothing at that appointment but take X-rays and tell me that and of course charged me for that. Went back to the endo after crying because all of this is thousands of dollars after insurance. Endo told me it was too soon to be infected again and it looked like my gums where irritated from the temp crowns westwind had put in. The endo also filled down the temp crowns as they were too tall and causing my bite to misalign which was the other reason for the pain. The endo didn't even charge me for that appointment to fix things that they should have addressed. Additionally, after telling me they thought it was infected again they wouldn't give me antibiotics. So I do not understand why they wouldn't treat the issue they identified. After all of this, my permanent crowns were ready and I go in and it's a whole new dentist there. I'm assuming there was turnover. I doubt it's a fun place to work. Now months later I am also being harassed for treatment. They are using scare tactics to try and get me to come in for a cleaning. That's the only thing that had been discussed for upcoming treatment. Here are the texts they sent. And when I called it out. You can see how quickly they changed their tune. Honestly disgusting. I work in medical and this is no way to treat patients. Save your money and pick a different dentist

So it's been some years since I've been. Need to get some work done, I caught cavities in my remaining wisdom teeth. I recommend to come here from there sister branch in Avondale. Had a booked appointment with Dr.Dhillion. The here was very friendly and thorough, they even found an extra wisdom tooth hiding. The dental hygienist was very open with instructions and if I had concerns. Dr Dhillion was caring and RIDICULOUS fast and efficient. I almost felt bad for worrying. I was wish I could remember ever employee's name that helped me but this right the procedure, so ... Long story short, I have found a Dental Home with West Wind.
