We ordered Shaw carpeting from Affordable Flooring in July of 2017. We brought home many samples, reviewed all the room views and photos on the Shaw web site and finally chose (a fairly expensive) one. Right after AF began the installation, we told Gary that the carpet did NOT look like what we had chosen--it was dull, flat, and had none of the highlights of the sample and room photos. We showed him the room views on the Shaw site, and asked him if he was sure we got the one we ordered. He assured us that it was, it was just 'flat from being on the roll.' He said once it had been installed and vacuumed a few times it would bring the nap up, and it would look like what we ordered. Well, even after being vacuumed several times, it didn't look any better (and still doesn't). Within Shaw's 30-day "satisfaction guaranteed" period, we contacted Affordable and said we were not satisfied and wanted to return it/get our money back. We filled out paperwork and AF submitted it to Shaw, only to find out that the carpet we have is excluded from their guarantee. We called and wrote to AF numerous times, asking that they help us get a refund/replacement. Their office manager did follow up with Shaw, but there was no result and we don't know what, if anything, Gary did to plead our case with them. Our last email to AF was over 2 months ago and has gone unanswered. We are really disappointed with Shaw and with Affordable Flooring--we spent quite a lot and did not get what we wanted. read more

They may be a little bit cheaper but this is the old" You Get What You Pay For". Hard Wood floor and carpeting we're both Shoddy install. The trim piece that was installed had a crack and it took roughly 40 calls. Always a run around and Bull #$@? excuses. 7 months later..... The trim piece was installed and the carpet that led to it looked like a 4 year old installed it... Never again..... read more

He was absolutely accurate when he came out to measure how much carpet we needed. Prices were fair and competitive. They moved the furniture and put it all back. They were clean and respectful. We hired this company thinking they did in-house install.They hired out a outside company that completely screwed the hardwood flooring job up.The installer did not leave enough space between the floor and the walls. As a result,I was left with a floor that had boards cracking in every single room. When Gary tried to resolve the issue, he was unsuccessful and left us with a sawdust mess twice. After that our phone calls were ignored and we were forced to file a law suit. we had to move out while a new floor was installed.Affordable could not ignore that. Because of this type incompetence our life was a nightmare for months.Beware of companies that ignore their customers. Believe me, look elsewhere. read more

We had Affordable install about 1300 square feet of hardwood in August. The installation went well until the end. There were(are) 2 problems. There are a couple of tile-to-wood transition areas that turned out poorly and the flush mount vents have senious color match problems. They came back once to address the transition areas and that helped but they need some more attention. I left a phone message with them several weeks ago but have not heard from them. Fortunately, I paid them as the job went along and withheld the final payment until the work was acceptable. They don't seem to want that last payment. read more

We had a bamboo wood floor installed by Affordable Flooring a couple years ago and it looked great! After some time, though, a mysterious gap developed between two floor boards that grew worse over time. Also, some gaps around the perimeter had developed as if some boards had shifted. Finally called Gary who came out to inspect it. He said it shouldn't have happened and set a day to come out and fix the the problem. He and an associate corrected the issues and brought the floor back to its beautiful state in one morning! The initial installation and the customer service afterward were top notch!
