Had this company install gutters on my roof. When they started the job they didn't come back to finish it in over a month. The workmanship was of poor quality work with negative slope on the side of my house leaving the gutter full of water and flowing over during a rain storm leaking right in front of the door. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Today the crew came out and corrected everything except a small item, which they promised to do ASAP and I agreed to whenever they were in the area. The big leak looks like it is resolved. We will see for sure when it rains again. They were scheduled at a specific time today. They missed that time, but as soon as they knew it, they called me to let me know. I was very impressed with their professionalism in resolving the issues to my satisfaction. I am leaving the original review for context. Bottom line - they did finish it and make it right. I upped the grade from 1 to 4. I believe professionalism is exemplified by admitting wrong and making it right, which is the ultimate goal anyway. These guys are very honorable in this manner. I do recommend them. ================= Had them come to install rain gutters on my house a few weeks ago. Initially everything went fine. We liked their work and the price, so we contracted them to add an additional line (AKA - repeat business). Then it rained. The gutters do not have a good positive flow (photo links). There are two corners where they miss collection entirely. The one in the front is a torrential missing of the gutter (Facebook video link). The one in back is not quite as bad, but still a problem. (Photo links). They were supposed to come on the day of the most recent rains. They never showed and never called. I called them after taking a half day from the office waiting for them only to be talked down to for expecting an installation in the rain. I wasn't upset that it was cancelled due to rain. I was upset because they failed to contact me and advise me, so I told them it was "unacceptable! I took off a half day for this. I have a job, too." They offered to reschedule the following Saturday (Sept 10, 2015). No show again. No call. Called office. Closed. Texted estimator (Dave). No response. Text sent: --- Dave, do you have any update on arrival of the installers? We are scheduled for today and do far no signs of them nor any calls. What is going on here? Our first two meetings with you and the original crew went very well. I am beginning to think your company is incapable of building and maintaining a favorable relationship with your customers on an ongoing and repeat business basis. Is this continued perception I am developing of your company's incompetence the norm? --- Today was the hottest day of 2015 (106). I can imagine it was too hot for the crews to work. I get that. But this is the second time for a no show without a call to advise and reschedule in advance of the cancellation. Sorry, but I have no tolerance for this. This only displays incompetence and an unwillingness to work the problems. I called at the beginning of the week for an estimate on a repair of a downspout and to install an additional raingutter. Dave came out within a day for an estimate, and the job was just completed today. Less than 3 days from start to finish!!! And they did very nice work. They not only did the repair and installed the new gutter, but took the time to fix two other minor problems that were not listed on the estimate sheet. They showed up on time and walked around to tell me exactly what they were going to do before they started. read more

Great experience from the estimate to the installation and after-install service. The price was right and our house looks great with the additional details of the install. They had the right products and colors to match our 24 year-old home. The company was great with good follow-through on each appointment as well as pre-appointment phone reminders. The estimate was complete and they were able to schedule us for the install within a week of the contract being signed. The crew showed up on time and they completed a rather large job earlier than I would have imagined. BTW, it rained the next day after the job was completed...everything worked perfectly to keep water away from our foundation as well as no splashes anymore on the stucco. After the install I requested that they come out and add one more gutter spike to reinforce one end of a run...they came out and did it as professionally and with the same friendliness of the original estimate and install crew. Just had a whole house rain gutter installation from this company. David came out and measured. Their quote was very reasonable. Installation occurred on a day when we were not home. Luckily our neighbor was able to supervise the installers. We paid over the phone with a credit card. The whole process from start to finish was very easy. We had a whole house installation done back in January. After the job was initially done I was super impressed with the quality of the work, the quality of the materials, the type of gutter that was recommended for our home...all of it. I was very very impressed, which is actually kind of hard to do! Of course being San Diego, it didn't rain for a while after they were installed, and when it finally did, there were a couple minor issues. I called and spoke with Jennifer and she got me set up for repairs right away. The guys came out, figured out the issues, and got us all fixed up. Affordable Raingutters did a wonderful job of installing gutters on a few apartment buildings that I manage. I was very happy with their service. They even installed bird spikes on one of the roofs (which is not in their job description). The only thing that I was displeased with was the woman who I spoke with over the phone. She was very rude and condescending to me when I asked for a work timeline. I would use them again, but I would hope that they try to improve their people skills :). read more

Rick and his cohort showed up early and started immediately on my job which included replacing 30yr gutters in the front. They are kept busy and it took 2 months to get an installation appointment but now I know why. It was worth the wait and the job was completed quickly and looks great. Rick ensured all was done correctly and his measurement cuts of the new gutters was better than the originals. My wife loves the color...and the house looks great. Got a few other estimates that were pricey and when I asked about hidden anchors they all said that was extra...not with these guys because that is the norm for them. I do not write a lot of reviews but when I do I mean what I say. Estimator was very nice, came out explained everything very well and said install would be a breeze, including going around a small direct tv bracket which had just a couple of screws. Schedules the install a few weeks later and I put down a deposit. Well unfortunately, the estimator is the only person in their organization who seems to have the slightest clue about anything. Day of install my phone starts ringing off the hook about how they don't work around direct tv dishes and I will have to remove it myself. I tried explaining that it's just 2 screws, 3 minutes of work, and the estimator told me it would not be an issue whatsoever. We don't even use the dish anyway so they could have just undid 3 screws and left it on the ground. Well the gal in their office proceeds to start yelling at me and hangs up on me! LOL! Finally a week later I call back and had them refund the deposit. First class bunch of clowns here. read more

I had Affordable Raingutters install gutters thoughout my house and was totally not satisfied with the gutters. The gutters leaked and they had to come out several times to re-glue them. They still leak at the seams. Also, they didn't bother to slope them correctly and rainwater collected in the gutters adding weight to my facia boards. I would not recommend them. read more

Affordable Rain Gutters did a great job. Wayne the estimator went above and beyond throughout the process to make sure we were satisfied. The quote was much lower than the competitors. The two installers did a great job and the gutters and downspouts matched perfectly. So far, no problems and they seem to be working as they should. One down side is that the lead time was kind of long (2 weeks til they could do the quote, another 2 weeks for installation) but considering it is winter and the busy season, I guess it was my own fault for waiting so long to take care of it. (my advice - don't wait til Nov., do it sooner!) The only other downside is the office staff - communication with them was kind of frustrating - not good since they are the "face" of the company! read more

Affordable installed a raingutter system at my home just yesterday. I worked with Julie and Ryan in their office to select a 'perfect' color match for the existing fascia boards. Ryan had some great suggestions on raingutter styles that helped compliment the existing look of our home. The installers arrived on time and were set up and ready to go within minutes. We walked the property and reviewed the scope of installation. They incorporated some minor changes with no hassles or 'rolled eyes'. They are apparently so over booked that they cannot have someone come out for a quote until next year. Just looked at a new copper installation in RSF. Everything about the install looks perfect. In fact meticulous. I did not use them last time , instead choosing Euro rain gutters, but Affordable did a seamless job, that is very clean and tight and looks fantastic. This is a new very high end house whose copper gutters and downspouts look perfect. My gutters turned a funny dark red rather than the tarnished brownish red. I am a fan of Affordable's materials and workmanship. Nice going. I will call you next time I need work. read more

Incredibly poor service - the installer said I needed more repairs than what was on my estimate and refused to do the work on my estimate, other than replace 16 feet of gutter - which I was later charged for 20 feet. I agreed to get a new estimate - silly me - and the estimator couldn't come up with a reason why the installer would refuse to do the work. This must have really upset the installer, because he no-showed multiple times for the return. I finally gave up and told them not to bother. The Manager, Jennifer, is incredibly rude and incompetent. She repeatedly sent an invoice to my old address and billed me for the original invoice amount (with $600 worth of work NOT performed). She insisted I had to pay it because they won't do jobs for less than $500 and didn't care that they could have done $1000 if they had just shown up! All she cared about was getting my invoice "off her books". It was comical that all she had to do was send me an invoice to the correct address, with the correct amount. After 4 months of having the same conversation, she finally accomplished that. Interesting that they've kept the DBA, but changed business names ... shady? read more
