Moving is never fun, and rarely goes smoothly. But AR Moving (Affordable Reliable Moving) changed all that. True to their name, they were among the lowest quotes I received. The guys arrived on time and worked their collective butts off to get everything in their truck. We had heavy furniture and they wrapped it with care and placed it in the new home right where we asked. I would especially like mention Gabriel for his help in fine-tuning the location of some of the furniture. Two other guys, whose names I didn't catch, helped moved my very heavy printer into my car, unload it, and carry it upstairs. All three guys had that can-do/will-do attitude. Everything from getting a quote to moving my personal belongings to another state went off without a hitch! I received a quote for this move which included 3 guys. As the time drew closer to the move Tyler called to see if I needed anything else. This moving company was complete, transparent and very professional. They are not professional the workers lie I have moved often so I have used Movers and never have. I had such an experience. They broke a glass from a custom table that I had made would not take responsibility the event, my trashcan that I got in Bloomingdale's a special sculpture made of wax was broken. I would never recommend this, and they would not give me any thing back for what they damaged, which is useless so I am still contemplating, if I take them to small claims and report them to the best better business bureau read more

These movers were full of broken promises and my broken very expensive lamp. They had picture of the piano and the stairs where it would be moved to. The crew they sent told me that they could have executed the move had they brought a piano board and the right crew. Even with pictures and descriptions this company decided to send an ill equipped crew. Then they offered to come back but charge $1000+ more to try to bring the piano up again. I had spoken to them about installing tvs, I was told this was included, but they sent a crew that told me they were not able to do this as none of them knew how. They left without installing a single tv. In addition, there was an expensive lamp that I told the foreman that I could take because it was a delicate and expensive alabaster torchiere lamp from Nordstrom. He said they could take it and it would be safe, walked out of the apt with it and he dropped it, shattered right there. Then he asked for a broom and I told him I would take care of it because they charge by the hour and I didn't want to pay to have him sweep up broken glass. Even though this was their accident and avoidable, they came back saying that they would only pay .60 cents a pound for the lamp. They got lost coming to my place, even with the address and me telling them which way to go on the phone and one of the three man crew showed up about 40 min into the move. This was a very disappointing experience! I had put my little job to pack up my delicate figurines and such out of my china cabinets before we were going to demo the area fir remodel on Angi to get bids. They asked for pictures of everything in order to give me the quote, which I sent them. They gave me a quote of ~$320 - $420, which was about what I was willing to pay and I gave them the job. They sent one guy and he moved pretty slow and at the end, handed me a bill for almost $700!! I called them to complain and they said they bill strictly by time...well, what is their incentive to give an accurate quote and what is their incentive to work efficiently within the time they quoted - they had specific photos of all of the items to be packed, so no surprises for them. They refused to reduce the price, so I was stuck paying 2x what I had expected. What's worse for me is that I won't know how well my stuff was packed for about a year once the remodel is done and I unpack them, and good luck getting compensated for any breakage. Make sure you get a firm price before you engage these folks! read more

I used their moving company many times for the company I used to work for in Foothill Ranch that moved into one of the former Oakley buildings. They moved the entire office into the new building and I also used them as we continually moved furniture around as we got settled in. I had them come back out for more projects at least ten times if not more. Derek the owner is great and his staff is very professional. A few of my coworkers even used them when they moved closer to the office. I won't use these movers again. We are in the middle of a home remodel project. I had some flooring and vanities delivered to my home and stored in my garage. To make room for additional deliveries, I needed to move the material to a storage unit. All the items were on pallets. I discussed the job with AR Moving indicating that they needed a truck with a lift gate and a pallet jack. Arrangements were made. As the storage unit was less than a mile from my house the move should take no more than two hours. Quote was minimum 2 hours and 3 men for $450 - $500 and included the required equipment. What a fiasco! The men didn't know how to use the pallet jack! While using the lift gate they crushed the handheld lift controller between the lift gate and the truck. Spent an hour on the phone with the owner and disconnecting the handheld lift gate controller. There's another truck mounted lift gate controller next to the lift gate. But burnt an hour trying to figure out the workaround. After that fiasco things went OK. However, time for the bill. $820!! 64% above quote. Plus, I was charged for the hour that they spent trying to fix the crushed handheld lift gate controller and not being able to load anything. I called this company for a quote. They told me they would email me an electronic contract. The quote was $550. for first 4 hour minimum, We then found a company here in Corona that charged $105 an hour with no minimum. We only needed a queen mattress, dresser, headboard and electric recliner love seat moved. I never signed the contract and it said it would be invalid after 24 hours. We were moving the last of my mothers belongings out of her assisted living apartment. The next day the movers showed up at my door. I told them that we used another company and did not enter into an agreement with them. The guy said "okay so we are all good?" I said yes not knowing that they had already been to my mom's apartment. The maintenance man let them in because he thought it was the same company that had been there the day before. He wrongly assumed that they forgot to take the 4 remaining items from the apartment so he let them in. They took the two chairs, a brand new dust buster AND the $5000 painting with great sentimental value and never even bothered to tell me that they had already been to my mom's apartment and had her stuff in the truck right there in front of my house. Three days later when I went back to my mom's apartment to get the stuff I found it was gone. On Monday I learned what happened with the maintenance man. He thought it was the same company and let them in. Yes this was wrong on his part but NEVER ever did anyone request that Affordable Reliable Movers mention wanting any of those items removed. I called and spoke with the owner. He said he talked with his guys and they said they never even went to my mothers apartment. The assisted living had them on video taking the merchandise out of the apartment. When I told the owner that we had it on video he said well they said they threw it all in the trash. I was devastated. He continued to say that I would need to have a receipt proving the value of the picture. He thought that there was no way I would be able to have documentation. Well guess what I just happened to have the certificate of authenticity including the price paid. I was upset with the assisted living facility and felt it was their wrong. My parents were loving forgiving people. I went to talk to the administrator and I was a mess because they put my mom on hospice that day. I said that my parents would not want them to be punished when they had been misled by these HORRIBLE movers. The owner said because his workers trashed the merchandise during off hours he had no liability. My mom will never know because she died on Mothers Day. PLEASE do NOT give your business to these expensive unreliable thieves. My heart is broken. I think they should be held accountable by law enforcement but I don't know where to begin as they are in Orange county and the THEFT took place in Riverside county. I am very bitter. read more
