Please please do not trust this company. We did- and their lack of integrity and professionalism had cost us a lot of money we did not anticipate. We hired them to do a thorough inspection of a older used RV before we made the purchase. This RV was one owner and appeared to be in relatively good condition. They gave us a 7 page document that allegedly outlined any/all issues or repairs needed. Their words verbatim "this is a well taken care of Trailer" and even text us NADA comparables on the spot. What they didn't tell us was there was serious water damage into the walls and floors and that as a result it would cost us a lot of money in repairs, and the roof had several holes and compromised areas. There are other concerns as well, such as a toilet leak (unknown if additional damage as of yet) and ceiling damage in the sunlight/shower area that was not well inspected. We have yet to determine full magnitude of water damage there. They also told us the tread on the tires was "good" but they didn't tell us due to the age they needed replacing to prevent a blow out. Major safety issue!!!! Their inspections cannot be trusted and is a total waste of money. This was supposed to be a first trailer for my husband and I who live on a tight budget, along with our toddler. So far it has cost way more than we intended and the repairs are not even close to complete yet. I called twice requesting information on services provided by ARVS. Both times I left a voice mail. I never received a return call. I'm sure I'll be able to find an RV repair shop that will at least return my calls, and from some of the previous comments I've read, It's probably a good idea to look elsewhere. All I can say is Wow! Brent and Alana are an awesome team! I was very fortunate to find them here on Yelp. I have a few Mobile RV mechanics that I've used but we had an emergency with the A/C not working and after calling several of the mobile mechanics I've used in the past that said they "might be able to squeeze me in or just can't" Brett and Alana said they could schedule a visit for the very next morning at 7 am. I called them around noon on Friday and by Saturday at 9:30 they had fixed the problem. I'm so appreciative of their knowledge and professionalism, combined with their friendly attitude and their customer service, they will be my #1 choice for future service. Why did I need to call them? Here's the low down and what Brent did. In April of 2017 I had Sonrise RV (you can find my review for them if you care) do some work on my 2008 Safari 29' Coach. During that service I had them perform routine A/C maintenance which includes removing the A/C cover and cleaning and changing the filters. Since it was April we had no need to use the A/C and frankly, I guess I should have tested it before leaving their shop but I was so upset with the way I was treated, I just wanted to get out of there. Three months later the A/C was necessary but unfortunately, it was only blowing hot air. It sounded like it was trying to turn on, but it kept shutting down. Luckily, Brent & Alana were able to get to my coach and inspect the A/C unit. Upon arrival, he found the A/C breaker had tripped. Upon testing, discovered blower fan came on & compressor fan kicked in. He ran the system for about 10 minutes and the A/C shut down on its own due to high head pressure he said. He pulled down the inner garnish of A/C unit to check all connections which were found to be good and all clean so at least Sonrise did that part properly. Then he went on the roof and removed the exterior hood to A/C unit. He said that was also very clean inside but found that the compressor fan was "full of goop" and not freely rotating. Brent applied some lubricant and manually rotated the fan until it spun smoothly without restriction. Then he restarted A/C unit and allowed it to run for another 15 minutes or so and the compressor no longer shut down. He then checked for the cooling delta which was about 27° - 28° which is excellent. Meaning, if it's 100° outside, the A/C should be able to reduce the temperature inside the coach to low to mid 70's. He also found that the A/C was running (pulling) 10 amps with the exterior hood off & only 8 amps with the exterior hood on. This is very good and means that the unit could be operated by just being plugged into a standard 110V - 15 amp outlet as long as the extension cord is not over 50' which would reduce the amps even further. So, all in all, while my A/C should not have needed attention just 3 months after getting it serviced by another mechanic Brent came through and saved the weekend. Evidently, Sonrise RV did clean the inside and replace the filters, but they failed to test it or let it run long enough to realize they forgot to clean and lubricate the compressor fan. This caused me to pay another $175 to have a Brent make an emergency trip to fix something that should have been taken care of when Sonrise charged me for the A/C service. I'll be calling Brent & Alana in the future for sure! Thank you guys! read more

I bought a vintage trailer and didn't know what the hell I was doing. I preferred someone to come to me and someone that could do a walk through and tell me how everything works. Based on the glowing Yelp reviews I called up Affordable RV Solutions and talked to Alana. She explained the process and the price which was definitely more affordable than the competitors. She and Brent were on time, they didn't mind me asking all my rookie questions and were super nice. They had to make a few repairs but it didn't cost much at all for the parts and labor. They know the in's and out's of all trailers and RV's. They were very professional and sent an invoice very shortly after they left. The owner of that trailer said she highly recommended them and I couldn't agree more. I was very pleased to be able to schedule an appointment for the same week. I had a list of minor repairs (electric outlet, recaulk door window, reinsulate refrigerator) as well as routine maintenance (lube slide, inspect/clean appliances, inspect roof). I was very fortunate to find Brent and Alana! I needed an emergency repair on the roof of my RV trailer, and since I didn't have my tow vehicle available, I needed someone to come to me. I was extremely happy that they were able to help me the next day. They were on time, explained what they would do to fix it and got straight to work on making the repairs. I do most of my own RV maintenance, but there are a few things that I don't quite have enough knowledge to do myself. We were about a week from leaving on a four month trip, and I wanted to make sure everything is roadworthy on our little coach. So I started calling RV service people. And calling. And calling. Some don't do propane. Really? Others couldn't fit me into their schedule. Others just didn't answer the phone. Alana answered the phone on the first ring, understood what I needed, and scheduled an appointment for later in the week. Brent, Alana, and Rocky showed up exactly on time. They are knowledgeable and personable. Brent spent 90 minutes walking through every system on our little class C, checked my work, quizzed me about what I knew and didn't know, explained the things I didn't know enough about, poured oil and sprayed lube, and crawled around underneath the coach. I only wanted an estimate on solar panels & you ignored me for a week until I finally got through, just for you to give me a whole bunch of excuses on why you can't do the job. If it was too much for you to handle, you should've contacted me immediately upon reaching that verdict. Very unprofessional because you are not a business, just a DIY hustler, which is fine, just stop wasting clients time & let the real guys handle things like this. You even talked about smoking weed with me because you thought I was a young stoner who bought a RV solely to rave at the "Burning Man" festival which left me appalled!! Furthermore, I have multiple house driveway locations for the installations to occur, but yet again, you jumped to judgement without even asking me, not to mention that YOU are the business and should have multiple places yourself to work on oversized vehicles, but I digress....DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS GUY!!! We called Affordable RV Solutions for a LP gas issue we were having, couldn't get the LP gas to work but the tank should half full. Called Affordable RV Solutions and spoke with Alana. First let me say we are very impressed with them! Alana asked us some questions, told us to check the House batteries for water because sometimes that will be an issue with the LP gas detector releasing the gas to the coach. Alana walked us through the process by phone. Found out the House batteries were almost dry, so we added water. Alana told us to let the batteries "recharge" and then try the LP gas. Wa La! Issue resolved! Amazing yes but what was more amazing is Alana called me the next day to see if it worked. Who does that these days?? Alana and Brent does! Affordable RV Solutions didn't charge us a dime to fix our problem, Affordable Solutions They Are! Please give them a call for your RV issues, Alana and Brent are good, honest people who will fix the problem and not sell you something you don't need! I trust Brent and Alana and that says a lot, because I've been disappointed by other mobile RV services in the past. They've done work on my 33' Allegro a few times now ( skylight over shower replacement, dump valves replaced, solar work) and are always reliable, efficient, friendly, knowledgable, great communicators and most importantly, they are honest. They are reasonably priced and do a quality job. Brent has great skills, he really knows what he's doing and doesn't skimp or makeshift, he does the job right. I'm so happy they are back in San Diego again and I have peace of mind just knowing if I have a future problem with my RV that they will be there for me. Brent & Alana were wonderful! I'm a newbie TT owner and needed a good inspection and run through on how things worked. They came to my house and inspected my trailer, made a great set of notes (they gave me a copy to keep that lists all of the information on my trailer and their inspection reports), gave me all kinds of wonderful pointers and have made me feel 100% safe using my trailer. Talk about a wealth of knowledge....and super friendly. Alana let me know that I can call them if I'm out camping and have a problem. They have a "file" on my trailer and will know what kind of equipment I have and will be able to help me with anything. I can't say enough wonderful things about them.
