Armstrong RV Service and Supply....YES! My RV repair shop Quality RV closed and I found myself searching for a new RV shop. Before booking an appointment I went in to chat with the owner and service staff. I was impressed in the way they addressed my concerns. About two weeks later I I dropped my RV off at 8 am. My instructions were to check all seals, winterize, service the generator, remove current kitchen faucet and install the one I supplied, and check overhead cab area in my Winnebago Class C Outlook for leaks. Having paid to repair leaks in previous and current RV I was thinking the worst. Later that early afternoon I received a call saying that the clearance lights covers were cracked and he wanted to order them. I was relieved it was a simple problem. What impressed me was the dialog and call from the shop. My RV was repaired in a timely manner and what I thought was a more than a fair price. The invoice was itemized completely. While I have only one experience at Armstrong RV repair I will certainly be going back. If nothing else stop in and chat to see if that is a shop you want to create a relationship with. read more

We want to highly recommend this business. Everyone we called said it would be weeks before we could get the coach in for repair. Our inverter had gone out we had no electricity our food was going to to go bad in the refrigerator & freezer. Gerald took pity on us and took us in right away. We were quite fortunate that he was even able to find an inverter for us. When we picked it up and went back to the RV park we broke a water fitting so now we have no water. Once again Gerald helped us out. I can't say thank you enough for actually caring that we were in a state of emergency and needed help right away. this is an amazing guy with a great business. We actually have an appointment now & will be going back to Oregon on our way back to Arizona for some more repairs. read more

Armstrong RV was referred to us by another RV company in town. We stopped by and explained what needed to be done to our RV and made an appoinment for a few weeks later. Our RV was finished in less than 2 weeks and everything was fixed and looks and works great. Gerald went over the invoice and explained what they found and how they fixed it for the 5 things we needed addressed. The pricing is very fair, their work is great and efficient and it was done in a very timely manner. I wish we would have known about Armstrong years ago and used their compnay for repairs. Our water heater wasn't working at all in our rv. I had called 3 other services and everyone was too busy, so when I called I wasn't surprised to be told the same. Took our new Winnebago Travato RV van to store here in September, 2018. The storage area is partially graveled and fenced. Access to vehicles is limited to 8:00 to 4:30 Monday-Friday, and some Saturday mornings by arrangement. In May, 2019 we discovered mice in our van. The mice may have come from our one-night camping trip that month, or from the adjacent fields. The owner said they typically use traps around the periphery of the storage area, but the traps had not been set yet. After trapping four mice in the van, I mentioned to the owner I was going to try using moth balls to deter them (I had read on the internet that would work). I placed the moth balls at various places inside the van and then put some (20) on the ground directly beneath the van. The next week I received a letter from the owner ending our storage agreement and telling me I'd have ten days to remove the van. I was completely surprised and took the letter to him the following day. When I asked him what was going on, he responded, "I don't have to give you a reason." When pressed, he finally admitted that it was because I had put moth balls on "his ground." When I asked why he didn't just tell me he didn't want them on the ground and to pick them up (which I would have gladly done), he simply said, "I'm done." I moved the van to a new storage facility in five days, and now have much better access to it. It is my hope the owners of this new facility will communicate better as well as be less arbitrary and reactive. read more

This is the third year that we have stored our trailer with Armstrong RV. We leave it from April to June in Eugene, and while the trailer is stored there, we have any necessary repairs done. We have a 10 year old trailer that usually has a few things going wrong with it. We have been really happy with all that Gerald does. He even did me a huge favor and mailed me my jacket that I had accidentally left on the bed in the trailer. We were about 5 hours away on our way home, when I needed my jacket and realized that I had left it. We would rather have him do our repairs than anyone in the SF Bay Area. Talked to Gerald and while it wasn't a job he wanted to take on, he gave me other references to pursue, as well as insight about how the job needed to get done. This is way late due to extended illness from a May 2015 repair but this 'little' RV repair & restoration shop is relatively new, but the years of experience in the RV industry construction @ one of the now bankrupt manufacturers shows what precise & knowledgable employees they lost . These fellows do not repair the large chassis items like wheels, brakes, A/C etc. but certainly do just about anything on interior or exterior components. Fair pricing, pleasant to work with & knowledgable of ther profession, they are RVIA Certified. Only complaint I have is that after 2 test/fix failures on an icemaker, replace the dang thing, especially when the unit has extended coverage! I'll refer them over the big guys any day even though we had to resort to Guaranty for the icemaker replacement while there for a safety repair that ARMSTRONG caught & BROUGHT TO OUR ATTENTION. Nice to know that the small business repairman still exist. We found Armstrong by their being subcontracted from 1 of the large 'big rig" repair shops in Eugene that unfortunately did a LOUSY, INCOMPETANT A/C repair 3 consecutive years in a row.-- Only returned because of the 'guarantee'. That was a mistake we won't repeat! I'll review THEM when it gets properly repaired & then name names. read more
